Donation deed

Donation deed by which Pedro Fernandes and Maria Antónia, his wife, donated houses in Lisboa and properties in S. Quintino to their niece, Madalena Antónia, António Fernandes de Amorim's wife, obligating her to support the celebration of 50 annual masses for the donors' souls in the church of S. João da Praça of Lisboa. It is mentioned that the houses could be sold, on the condition that their next owners continued to fulfil the pious obligations associated to them.

Declaration deed

Declaration deed through which Pedro Fernandes and Maria Antónia, his wife, revoke clauses of the donation deed they had made previously, determining that, if they do not have any children, their houses in Lisboa should be inherited by a son or daughter of Beatriz de Sousa, Madalena Antónia's sister. He/she would be obligated to support the celebration of 50 annual masses in the church of S. João da Praça of Lisboa and to transmit the entailed properties to his/her descendants. If Beatriz de Sousa forgets to appoint one of her children to administrate that entail, it must be passed to her eldest daughter. Those houses could never be sold or exchanged for other ones.
