Contract and bond deed by which Francisco Manuel de Melo buys the chapel of Santo António from the priests of the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus, to fulfil the obligations of the will of his grandmother, D. Isabel de Leão, which had been lost. She had ordered him to buy a chapel in a franciscan convent, to serve as her family's burial place, and to establish a daily mass for her soul, for which she had bequeathed him a public debt instrument in Seville. Francisco Manuel de Melo promises to buy a public debt instrument worth 30 000 réis to entail to this obligation. The priests promise to pray the masses.

Contract and bond deed by which Francisco de Melo, embaixador em Inglaterra and administrator of the chapel of Santo António in the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus of Lisboa, entails his estate dos Cavalos in Avis, to his chapel, so its revenue can be used for its ornamentation and for the praying of more masses for his soul. He mentions he inherited the chapel after the death of Francisco Manuel de Melo and his son, D. Jorge Manuel, former administrators.
Contains a letter-of-attorney, the recognition of its authenticity and a licence.
