Will (extract) by which Vasco Varela da Fonseca established a chapel in the church of S. Miguel of Alfama, entailing to it all his assets, namely houses in Alfama. He ordered the chapel's future administrators to support the celebration of a weekly perpetual mass and 3 masses during Christmas for his soul and for the souls of his parents and grandmother in that church, where his body would be buried.

Warrant

Warrant allowing Mateus Barreto da Silva Gorjão, Moço da Câmara do Rei, administrator of Vasco Varela da Fonseca's chapel, to lease ruined houses in Alfama entailed to it and to subrogate other houses for a vineyard in Barregueira, Torres Vedras. It is referred that the entail's institutor had appointed Maria Barreto, Mateus' grandmother, to be the chapel's first administrator.

Subrogation deed

Subrogation deed by which Mateus Barreto da Silva Gorjão, administrator of Vasco Varela da Fonseca's chapel, and his wife, Mónica Francisca dos Reis, sold houses in Alfama, previously entailed to it, to the brotherhood of Santíssimo Sacramento of the church of S. Miguel of Alfama for 40 000 réis. In turn, they incorporated in that entail a vineyard in Barregueira, Torres Vedras.
They also leased ruined houses in S. Pedro de Alfama, entailed to the chapel, to Simão Batista de Abreu and Francisca Rebelo, his wife, for the annual payment of 1 300 réis. Contains copies of a termo de outorga, a letter of attorney, a carta de arrematação, a letter of possession, an instrumento de justificação and a confirmation letter.
