Chapel foundation deed

Chapel foundation deed by which D. Isabel, widow of Doutor António Correia de Sá, Corregedor da Corte, moved the chapel established by the fidalgos Fernando Correia and Beatriz Gonçalves de Aguiar, his wife, to the church of Santa Justa of Coimbra, fulfiling her late husband's wish. She committed herself to erect a new chapel in that church dedicated to S. João Batista, which would become a family mausoleum, and to furnish it with the necessary ornaments. The prior and beneficiados of that church would be responsible for celebrating 2 annual masses for the founders' souls.
The institutors had initially found the chapel in the convent of S. Francisco of Évora. Their successor, Duarte Sá, had been the first to change the chapel location, moving it to the mosteiro de Santa Cruz of Coimbra. With the King's approval, he had sold the entailed properties in Évora and bought assets in Coimbra to incorporate in the entail, namely houses in Rua de Santa Sofia and 2 olive groves in Maínça and Monte Olivete.
