Codicil

Codicil by which Paio Rodrigues revoked part of his will, declaring that his children should not inherit the assets entailed to Pedro Vaz da Praça's chapel nor the third part of his assets. After his death, his estate would be divided in two parts, one would be given to his grandson, Jorge da Cunha, and the other to António, his other grandson. They were both sons of Pedro da Cunha and Constança Soares. Each of them had to transmit his patrimony to his descendants with the obligation of celebrating 2 annual masses. If they died without leaving offspring, they would be succeeded by Gaspar, their brother. The testator also appointed Pedro Vaz, his son, to administrate Fernando Pais' chapel. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1528-02-14.

Will by which Paio Rodrigues, Escudeiro Fidalgo, he entailed the third part of his assets to the chapel established by Pedro Vaz da Praça, his uncle, determining that the future administrators had to finish the chapel's construction. The testator designated his son-in-law, Pedro da Cunha, to administrate it, declaring that he had to be succeeded by his eldest son, Jorge da Cunha. He also appointed his son, João Rodrigues, criado do Marquês, to administrate Fernão Pais' chapel. He declared that his body would be buried in the church of Santa Maria of Monção, next to his uncle's grave.

Will by which André Velho de Azevedo declared that he wanted to be buried with his deceased wife Maria de Sousa Barbosa, in the chapel they ordered to built of invocation of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, in Monção. In their common last will they had incorporated their thirds into this chapel, which was composed of lands, vegetable gardens and houses in the parish of Nossa Senhora da Bela, in Monção, and a piece of the vineyard of “Pombeiro”. He also wanted to established the celebration of masses for his wife's soul. André Velho de Azevedo wanted to unit this chapel with the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rosa, in the Church of Monção, founded by Pedro Vaz da Praça, of which he was the administrator. He designated his son Francisco da Cunha to be the administrator of this two chapels. Followed by an approval deed dated 1638-10-03.

Will by which Pedro Vaz Praça established an entail with all his assets and the estate of his brother, Gomes Lourenço, designating his nephew, Paio Rodrigues, to administrate it and to administrate the chapel established by Fernando Pais, the testator's uncle. He and his successors were obligated to support the celebration of 3 weekly masses in the church of Santa Maria of Monção, where his body would be buried next to his parents' remains. He also determined that, every year, 60 reais brancos should be given to maintain alight a candle in the church of Santa Maria; as well as 40 reais brancos in his honour to the Order of Santiago and 400 reais brancos to the church of Riba de Mouro. Followed by a codicil issued on 1500-05-30.
