Will chart

Will chart made by Jerónimo Henriques da Veiga in which he ordered his burial in the main chapel of the Santo Adrião church, in Póvoa de Santo Adrião. He orders the transfer of the bones of his parents, brothers, wife and children, all buried in the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus, to the main chapel of the aforementioned church. He also ordered the foundation of a "morgado", entailing all his goods for the fulfilment of charges, celebrated in that church. He appoints António, son of João Batista da Fonseca and D. Clara de Oliveira, his godson, to be the first administrator. After his death, he shall be succeeded by his eldest son. The administrators were obliged to reside in the Kingdom.

Contract and bond deed by which Jerónimo Henriques da Veiga, husband of Ana de Oliveira, acquires a burial place in the chancel of the church of Santo Adrião da Póvoa, for himself, his wife and his family, promising in his and his successors' names to make an annual payment to the priests of the church and the members of its confraries for the maintenance of their chapel.
Contains processual documentation pertaining to this acquisition, namely dispatches and petitions. Followed by acceptance deed by the priests, letter of possession of the chapel, and acceptance by Ana de Oliveira, dated 1640-08-28.
