Will chart

Will chart made by D. Ana de Castelo Branco, wife of André da Ponte de Sousa, in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail with a perpetual obligation of a chapel of masses celebrated in the chapel of Santíssimo Sacramento, in the church of S. Sebastião, in Ponta Delgada. She named her husband to administrate it with the condition that he would appoint one of their children to succeed him. She mentioned that her father Baltasar Martins de Castro and her grandmother Francisca de Castro had founded entails that she administrated, and as she had the faculty to appoint her successor, she named her son João de Sousa Castelo Branco to administrate both entails.
