Will (extract) by which Nicolau Filipe declared that he owned houses in Lisboa, part of which belonged to his late wife, Catarina Holanda. She had asked him to bequeath that part to her nephews, Pedro and Margarida. The testator ordered that the rents of those houses had to be used to fulfil perpetual pious obligations, such as maintaining alight a candle during Holy Week; celebrating a sung annual mass for his soul in the church of S. Julião; giving 300 réis during Lent to people suffering from leprosy and 100 réis, each year, to the priest of that church.
