The document confirms the grace warrant of administration issued in 1631-03-21 and the administration letter of 1631-07-05, both signed by D. Diogo de Castro, Portugal's governor, rewarding his services as secretário dos Secretários de Estado Francisco de Lucena and Rui Dias de Meneses. The Junta das Capelas da Coroa had refused him the possession of the chapel's administration, considering the appointment to be an exclusive privilege of the king.

His late father Lopo da Fonseca bought the chapel's properties and improved them; António Caldeira kept them until it was issued a court sentence ordering that the chapel should return to the crown administration. This grace warrant is issued regardless the court sentence.

Will

Will by which Fernando Gonçalves do Sobrado, cavaleiro, established a chapel in the church of São Bartolomeu of Lisboa, entailing to it his farmstead (quinta) in Alpriate and determining that his body, the remains of his parents and his sister had to be buried there. He designated João de Atalaia to administrate it, obligating him and his successors to sustain two chaplains, who would be responsible for celebrating perpetual daily masses for his soul in that church. After the first administrator's death, the chapel would be inherited by someone chosen by the deceased.
