Tombo of the chapel instituted by Lourenço Martins and Maria Martins, his wife, in the hermitage of Santa Catarina, on the outskirts of Alenquer, administered by Inês de Carvalho, ordered by Doutor Tomé Pinheiro da Veiga, desembargador dos agravos e apelações na Casa da Suplicação e juiz dos tombos, averiguação e manifestações das Capelas, Hospitais e Confrarias da Coroa.
Contains: a warrant, ordering the execution of the tombo; a chapel foundation deed; a papal brief of Pope Eugene IV, reducing the chapel's charges; some land measurement deeds of the chapel's assets, made in 1633, and compared with those of 1508; an administration letter on behalf of Inês de Carvalho; an acórdão (dated 1622-08-12); a contract and bond deed signed between the procurador da Coroa and the friars of the convent of São Francisco of Alenquer (dated 1623-01-28); a contract and bond deed signed between Agostinho de Moura Pessanha and the friars of the convent of São Francisco of Alenquer (dated 1620-09-03); two acórdãos em relação, on the possession of certain properties of the chapel (dated 1623-12-20 and 1622-12-22).
Some later documentation was added concerning the subrogation of some properties in the chapel.

Contract and bond deed signed between Agostinho de Moura Pessanha, administrator of the entail of Santa Catarina de Alenquer, in his name and that of Beatriz de Araújo, his wife, and the friars of the convent of São Francisco of Alenquer, represented by Frei Jerónimo da Madre de Deus, ministro provincial of the Province of Portugal, and by Bartolomeu Correia, sindico of the convent of São Francisco of Lisbon, regarding the rights and charges that were celebrated in the chapel and hermitage of Santa Catarina of Alenquer.

Contract and bond deed signed between the desembargadores Miguel de Barreira, procurador da Coroa, and Tomé Pinheiro da Veiga, juiz das Capelas da Coroa, and the friars of the convent of São Francisco of Alenquer, represented by Friar Jerónimo da Madre de Deus, ministro provincial of the Province of Portugal, and by Bartolomeu Correia, sindico of the convent of São Francisco of Lisbon.
The parties confirm and ratify the previous contract, signed between the friars of the convent of São Francisco de Alenquer and Agostinho de Moura Pessanha, former administrator of the chapel of Santa Catarina de Alenquer, concerning the charges that were celebrated in that chapel.
It included a chapter of a royal charter, signed by Cristóvão Soares, secretário de Estado, ordering compliance with the judgment concerning the administration of the chapel of Santa Catarina, in Alenquer, regarding the contract signed between Agostinho de Moura Peçanha, former administrator, and the friars of the convent of São Francisco of Alenquer (dated 1622-11-08).

Confirmation letter of administration of the chapel of Santa Catarina, on the outskirts of Alenquer, on behalf of João Vaz. The administration had been given by the guardião of the convent of São Francisco of Alenquer and confirmed by the Pope.

Chapel foundation deed

Chapel foundation deed by which Lourenço Martins instituted a chapel in Santa Catarina, determining which masses should be celebrated every year. He appointed Afonso Lourenço, who was either his brother or his son, as its first administrator. He would be succeed by his descendants. The institutor bequeathed a property in Requeixada to Francisco Esteves, declaring that he could transmit it to one of his children. After the death of one of his descendants, it would be entailed to the chapel.

Acórdão em relação, judging a civil process between the procurador da Coroa, plaintiff, against Agostinho de Moura, defendant, on the administration of the chapel established by Lourenço Martins and Maria Martins, his wife, in the hermitage of Santa Catarina, on the outskirts of Alenquer.
The sentence condemns the defendant to leave the administration of the chapel to the Crown, for being a bad administrator and wasting his assets.

Acórdão em relação recognizing Sebastião Fonseca Falcão Coutinho Pessanha, appellant, as the rightful administrator of the chapel of Santa Catarina of Alenquer, since he was a direct descendant of João Vasques. The seizure of the entailed assets, which preceded the issuance of the sentence, was considered unlawful.
