Acórdão em relação, judging a denunciation of the chapel instituted by the licenciado Manuel Rodrigues, located in the mother church of Torrão, presented by Manuel da Silva Mascarenhas, supplicant.
The sentence declare the chapel vacant for the Crown, as the institutor had appointed clerics to administer it, which he could not do. It confirms that the supplicant administered it lawfully, in days of his life, as priest Manuel Figueira Sottomaior, previous administrator, had resigned in he and had received a grace warrant of administration issued by the monarch.

Codicil of Manuel Rodrigues clarifying that, after his death, Lourenço Cardim, his brother, would administer the chapel he had instituted until João Cardim, his nephew, was ordained a priest and could be its chaplain. If João Cardim did not accept, it would be for a son of Lourenço Cardim, who was a cleric. He reaffirms that the administrator should be his mother's closest relative, who was a clergyman.

Grace warrant of administration on behalf of Paulo da Silva Mascarenhas giving him the administration of the chapel founded by licenciado Manuel Rodrigues in fulfillment of a grace that was made to his father, Manuel da Silva Mascarenhas. The latter was allowed by a royal warrant dated 1641-04-04 to appoint his descendants to succeed him on the administration of the chapel, which he left by will to his son. This bequesth was not fulfilled, since the chapel administration was given to Manuel Correia da Silveira. Upon his death, the chapel was declared again vacant and is requested by Paulo da Silva.

Will chart of Manuel Rodrigues, ordering his grave in the mother church of Torrão, where he established a chapel in which his parents and grandparents were buried. He orders the sale of his assets to fulfill legacies and entails assets to fulfill the chapel's charges, specifying the way he wanted it ornamented. He appoints João Cardim, his nephew, as the first administrator, having to be ordained a priest so that he could also be a chaplain, being there administered by Lourenço Cardim, brother of the founder and his executor. The next administrator must be his mother's closest relative who was a clergyman. If there was no cleric in the family, the parish priest, the judge and the provedor of Misericórdia should choose a priest who would administer it.
