Will (extract) by which D. Francisca de Meneses establishes three entails of female succession. First, she bequeaths her lands in Linda-a-Velha, Oeiras, to her sister, with an obligation of two annual masses. After her sister's death, they shall pass to her niece, D. Úrsula, with the same obligation. D. Úrsula shall build houses in those lands to be the head of the entail. Second, she bequeaths her sister two stores in Lisboa, with another obligation of two annual masses. After her sister's death, they shall pass to her niece, D. Isabel. Third, she orders 2 000 réis of masses in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, entailed to a lease in Nossa Senhora dos Olivais, of which her brother, padre Frei Vicente, shall have the usufruct during his lifetime, and which shall pass after his death to D. Ana, their niece, with the same obligation. If one of her nieces dies without successors, the other two can inherit their entails. If none of them has descendants, the entails shall be inherited by the daughters of their brothers.
She also bequeaths to D. Úrsula a lease with an obligation of four annual masses for the soul of the daughter of her nurse, also buried in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, who had bequeathed them to her with that condition.

She establishes another entail with houses and a vineyard in Bucelas, designating her nephew to administrate it. He and his successors must support the celebration of an annual mass for the institutor's soul in that convent.
The testator also declares that none of the entailed properties should ever be sold or exchanged for others.

She had made this donation as an entail in a deed dated 1566-05-22. As her nephew had died, she afterwards donated her entail to Duarte's son, Diogo de Castro, when he was still minor, in 1583-08-11. She confirms this donation and declares that the entail shall pass to his descendants with the same obligation of masses.

They determine that, after their deaths, the entail should be administrated by Brígida Moreira, daughter of Maria Álvares, Isabel's cousin, and transmitted to her descendants. The future administrators of the entail are obligated to celebrate 50 annual masses for the institutor's souls in that church.

After the death of both of them, it should succeed his daughter Maria da Cruz and her heirs, with the obligation to incorporate their thirds into this entail. They also should give some money to the poor kin and to his niece Engrácia Silveira in order of getting married or becoming a nun.
