Will (extract) by which Diogo Carneiro and his wife Beatriz de Castro founded a chapel, using the third of their assets for the celebration of masses in the Convent of São Francisco de Évora. They designated his son Francisco Carneiro de Brito to be its first administrator. Beatriz de Castro was the administrator of a chapel founded by her aunt Helena de Brito, and also designated her son Francisco Carneiro de Brito to be its administrator, ordering him to unit these two chapels. Followed by an approval deed dated 1574-04-15.

Will (extract) of Francisco Velasco de Gouveia, by which he establishes Baltasar Pereira do Lago, son of Gaspar Pereira do Lago, his nephew, as his heir. The testator entails all his real estate, including houses in Lisboa, lands (casal) in Mafra and the Fonte Boa's estate (herdade), in Ferreira do Alentejo. The entail's administrator was obligated to administer it with the chapel established by Beatriz de Gouveia, his mother, in the convent of São Domingos of Lisboa, and with the one established by Duarte de Almeida, in the same convent. Francisco added annual masses to the pious obligation his mother had already instituted. He chooses to be buried in the chapel, located in the cloister of the referred convent, where his parents lied.

Will (extract) by which Francisco Velasco de Gouveia adds annual masses to the ones his mother had already instituted for her soul in the chapel of the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, where Francisco's parents are buried. These pious obligations should be sustained with the revenues of a public debt instrument.

Will (extract) by which Lopo Duarte Ximenes and his wife Joana da Veiga established an entail using their third part, appointing their eldest son Manuel Ximenes to be its first administrator. He was due to order the celebration of masses in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Lisboa. The successors are obligated to use half of their third to be incorporated in the entail.

Will (extract) by which Inês de Abreu established the foundation of an entail, using her and her husband's third part of the assets. She appointed her son Francisco Álvares to be its first administrator.

Will (extract) made by Isabel Lobato in which she ordered her grave in the chapel of Santo António, in the monastery of São Francisco of Santarém. She also ordered the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year in the in that chapel. She appointed Nuno Gonçalves to be the first administrator during his lifetime. The charges and the administrators must be the same as those set out in João de Sousa's will.

She asks her executor to buy land worth 30.000 réis to be entailed, for the fulfillment of charges. She appoints Antónia, her youngest daughter, first administrator. After her death, she was to be with her eldest son.

Will (extract) by which Heitor Mendes de Brito expresses his wish to be buried near his deceased son, Diogo Mendes, in the convent of S. Bento de Xabregas of Lisboa, to where his deceased wife should also be transfered. This chapel had been given to him by the priests through a contract issued in 1601-11-04. He designates his two sons, Francisco Dias Mendes and Nuno Dias Mendes, as his executors, and orders them to entail a public debt instrument to his chapel with the obligation of a daily mass for all of their souls. They shall also be buried there, as well as all the successors of the entails he established for them.

Will (extract) by which Isabel de Mendanha requests to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, next to her daughter, Margarida de Mendanha. She appoints her niece, Maria Álvares, as her universal heir, and entails her properties with an obligation of three annual masses.

Will (extract) by which an unnamed grandson of Henrique Teles, son of his son António Teles, declares he is in possession of the houses in rua de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, Lisboa, which belonged to his grandfather's entail. He had inherited them from his father, the previous administrator. The entail had an obligation of an anual mass in the church of Santo Estêvão de Alfama and of having the third parts of its administrators annexed to it. He declares he is in possession of the entail foundation deed.

Will (extract) of Madalena da Maia. She confirms that, in an earlier deed, dated 1611-10-18, she had left a third of her property to Ana de Macedo, her daughter, and Estêvão Soares de Albergaria, her son-in-law. She determined the celebration of masses, in the hermitage of São Sebastião do Lumiar.

Will (extract) by which Afonso Martins Vaqueiro founded a chapel, incorporating into the entail a plot of land located in the "herdade" of Paredes, and a vineyard in Reguengo, on the outskirts of Viana do Alentejo. He designated his nephew Diogo Pires, son of Pedro Martins, to be its first administrator and declared that he should be succeeded by his eldest son.

Will (extract) by which Garcia de Resende established an entail, incorporating assets for the fulfillment of the pious charges. He designated his son Francisco de Resende to be its first administrator and his eldest son should succeed him.

Will (extract) by which Duarte Mendes declared that he founded a chapel for his daughter D. Madalena Botelha in her marriage contract, and that his grandchildren should be his heirs and successors. He established that it should be bought a public debt instrument of 25 000 réis for the celebration of masses for his soul in the Monastery of Trindade, in Lisboa.

Will (extract) by which Isabel Pais expresses her wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. She appoints her niece, Maria Pais, married to Francisco Velho, as her universal heir, bequeathing her all of her properties with an obligation of twenty annual masses for her soul in that convent.

Will (extract) by which João Afonso de Alenquer, Cavaleiro e Vedor do Rei D. João I, entails his houses in rua das Esteiras to the hospital he established in the parish of Mártires, with an obligation of keeping a lamp lit in his chapel. He declares that his successors must administrate his chapel and hospital. If they refuse, both should be administrated by the mordomos of the confraria de Santo António of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa.

Will (extract) of Maria de Aboim, wife of Gaspar de Lemos de Faria, bequeathing her available portion to Maria da Boa Viagem, her granddaughter, daughter of her daughter, Isabel da Silveira, and founding an entail, with the pious obligation of two perpetual masses, per year, one in honour of Virgem do Rosário and the other in honour of Virgem da Conceição, for her and her husband's souls, with a responsory over their graves. The testator determines the succession clauses if her daughter has more daughters or if there is no female to inherit the available portion.

Will (extract) Maria Pais established an entail, designating her husband Francisco de Atouguia de Góis to be its first administrator. He was due to order the celebration of masses using the rents of a olive grove called "Bombarda". After the administrator's death, it should succeed their son António but, if he was a priest, it should succeed their son Manuel.

Will (extract) by which Francisco de Barros and Cecília Luís bequeath houses in Lisboa to the monastery of Santíssima Trindade with the obligation of a daily mass for their souls in that monastery.
