Will (extract) by which Pedro Nunes, desembargador, and his wife establish an entail with their third parts, including a farmstead in Numães, Barcelos, with an obligation of three weekly masses for their souls in a church chosen by the one of them who survives. They designate their eldest son, Simão Nunes de Carvalho, as administrator of the entail, and his descendants afterwards. If he dies without succession, the entail will pass to his brother, Miguel Nunes de Carvalho, and his descendants, or to their sister, Maria Nunes de Carvalho.

If António Camelo survives his wife and remarries to someone else, the entail has to be inherited by his descendants. If that does not happen, it should be transmitted to Maria de Sousa, the testator's niece. In order to ensure that the pious obligation would always be fulfiled, the testators link it to a rent (foro) of wheat, barley and chickens in a property in Casével, Santarém, which could never be sold or replaced for another asset.

They determine that the entail's first administrator has the obligation to appoint a successor at the time of his/her death. Furthermore, the testators declare that any movable assets should be sold and the sale's profit used to buy properties to entail to the chapel. Isabel Luís indicates that she has a daughter of a previous marriage, Maria da Conceição, Simão Correia's wife, and that she must inherit part of her patrimony.

If one of them died without heirs, it should succeed the other, and if both died without children, this entail should be transmitted to his closest kin. They were due to order the celebration of masses wherever they wanted. Followed by an approval deed dated 1632-12-12. Preceded by some notes he left dated 1632-09-22 where the institutor declared that he wanted to give manumission of some slaves, to light a candle in Misericórdia de Lisboa and left everything he had to his nieces for them to get married.

First, she bequeaths her lands in Linda-a-Velha, Oeiras, to her sister, with an obligation of two annual masses. After her sister's death, they shall pass to her niece, D. Úrsula, with the same obligation. D. Úrsula shall build houses in those lands to be the head of the entail. Second, she bequeaths her sister two stores in Lisboa, with another obligation of two annual masses. After her sister's death, they shall pass to her niece, D. Isabel. Third, she orders 2 000 réis of masses in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, entailed to a lease in Nossa Senhora dos Olivais, of which her brother, padre Frei Vicente, shall have the usufruct during his lifetime, and which shall pass after his death to D. Ana, their niece, with the same obligation. If one of her nieces dies without successors, the other two can inherit their entails. If none of them has descendants, the entails shall be inherited by the daughters of their brothers.
She also bequeaths to D. Úrsula a lease with an obligation of four annual masses for the soul of the daughter of her nurse, also buried in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, who had bequeathed them to her with that condition.

The testator also declares that none of the entailed properties should ever be sold or exchanged for others.

Will (extract) in which Catarina Gil and Jorge Lopes establish pious charges for their souls and for other family members in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa. They refer to the masses they were already fulfilling for the souls of Afonso Eanes "Cazambuco", João Gil and Beatriz Pires, who were Catarina Gil’s great-grandfather, father and mother respectively. The couple entails the pious obligations to three orchards they had in Várzea, referring that part of those orchards were already obligated to the pious charges instituted by Catarina’s mother Beatriz Pires, in her will. After the testators’ death, these properties would be bequeathed to their daughter Juliana Landim, with the pious obligations. They establish in detail the conditions and the pious charges the administrators of this property should have and they detail the options of succession. After Juliana Landim, their goddaughter Juliana Raposo, Brás Raposo’s daughter or a relative of Catarina’s father João Gil should succeed, passing the administration preferably to the older sons.

He named his wife as first administrator of the entail with the condition that if she married a second time the administration should be given to their son João de Ornelas, who would in anyway inherit after her death, and his first born male sons after him. If João de Ornelas died without heirs, the administration should be transmitted to the closest relative of his mother's or aunts or cousins bloodline, and if there were relatives in equivalent condition to receive the administration, he decided that the poorest should administrate the entail. He disposed that every administrator should bare the surname "Borges" or lose the administration, and also give 10 alqueires of wheat to two poor woman, with the condition that each of them would pray a rosary in memory of his soul.

The administrator was due to order the celebration of masses for his and his wife's soul wherever he wanted. If the administrator died childless, it should succeed their daughter Dona Antónia de Vilhena and her heirs or, in her absence, the other daughters Dona Violante de Vilhena and or Dona Brites da Silva. All of the entail's administrators were obligated to incorporate half of their thirds into this entail, but the first administrator is obligated to incorporate the paternal and maternal "legítimas". The institutor is also the administrator of the Morgado da Bordeira, and for that reason their heirs should also succeed in this entail. This entail is composed of houses in "Poço dos Negros", located in Lisboa.
