Will chart by which Afonso Munhós, Cavaleiro da Ordem de Santiago, bequeaths to the friars of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa lands he owned in Torres Vedras, with the obligation of celebrating annual masses for his soul, those of his mother and of João Velho, his wife's first husband, in the chapel of Reis Magos. The testator also mentions the chapel he and his wife, Mécia Dias, founded in the hermitage of S. João Baptista, in Charnais. He chooses to be buried in the church of that convent. Followed by an approval deed, issued on 1550-12-26, and an opening deed, issued on 1551-01-02.

Declaration and foundation deed

Declaration and foundation deed by Afonso Munhós and his wife Mécia Dias founding a chapel in the hermitage of São João Baptista, which they have built in their farmstead. To support the pious obligations instituted, they entailed to it the third part of their patrimony, including their farmstead (quinta). The first administrator would be the surviving spouse and, after him, the heir of Afonso Munhós, preferably the elder male.
