Scope and content
Will (extract) by which Gonçalo Martins establishes a chapel in the church of Santa Maria Madalena of Lisboa, entailing to it his farmstead (quinta) in Torres Vedras and lands (casais) in Rendide. He designates José Correia, Filipe Correia and Maria de Abreu de Faria's eldest son, to administrate it, determining that him and his descendants must support the celebration of a daily perpetual mass for his soul in that church. José Correia should also give, each year, 20 000 réis to each one of his sisters, Francisca, Mariana and Rosa, as long as they lived. If the first administrator of the entail leaves no legitimate descendants, he should pass it to his brother, João Correia.
