Will (extract) of Gonçalo Dantas, parish priest in Santo André de Gondomar. The testator bequeaths several properties he owned that were to be incorporated into a chapel. The chapel had the perpetual obligation of celebrating a weekly mass every Monday for the benefit of the founder and his descendants. The first administrator would be his brother, Simão Dantas, followed by his descendants, with the exception of illegitimate children. The chaplain would preferably be a relative of the institutor, especially the poorest and least busy cleric of his lineage. Furthermore, Simão Dantas was obliged to register the documents in the "livro dos registos das capelas" in Braga, in order to preserve the information about the property and the pious duties.
