Will (extract) by which Diogo Fernandes de Elvas and his wife, Inês Lopes, order the construction of a chapel in their burial place, in a place chosen by their executors, with the obligation of a daily mass and an annual divine office. They designate their son, Jorge Fernandes de Elvas, as administrator of this chapel.

Will chart by which António Fernandes de Elvas expresses his wish to be buried in the chapel of Rei Salvador of the monastery of S. Salvador, Lisboa, of which he is the administrator, as heir of his brother, Jorge Fernandes de Elvas. He orders the acquisition of a rent or of a public debt instrument to entail to an obligation of weekly masses to be ordered in this chapel. He declares he won't fulfil the instructions his brother left him in a memory written after his will, dated 1618, regarding the annexation of certain properties to the entails founded by his father and grandfather, since those instructions would disinherit him. He orders the annexation of the improvements he made in the houses of this entail to be considered as the third part of his third which, according to the institution, should be annexed to it. He also orders the annexation of more properties in case there are still debts left by his brother or himself to the entail.
He establishes an entail with the remaining part of his third part, which he bequeaths to his minor daughter, Mariana. He appoints his wife, D. Maria de Lima, as tutor of their daughter during her minority. This entail shall be joined to the ones he already possessed. He annexes to it his houses and a public debt instrument in Elvas and orders the sale of other properties to acquire more assets.

Subrogation deed by which André de Figueiredo Coutinho and his wife, D. Mariana de Lima, entail a lease of a vineyard in Alhos Vedros to the chapel founded by António Fernandes de Elvas, which they administer, in place of another lease which they had sold.
Contains a dispatch, a copy of the will chart of António Fernandes de Elvas and a certificate of a partition deed which proved the vineyard belonged to André de Figueiredo Coutinho.

Contract and bond deed by which the nuns of the monastery of S. Salvador of Lisboa give possession of their chapel of Rei Salvador to Jorge Fernandes de Elvas, son of Diogo Fernandes de Elvas and Inês Lopes, to be the chapel ordered by his parents in their will, and their family's burial place. He establishes the obligation of a daily mass and an annual divine office, and gives a public debt instrument in the Alfândega de Lisboa to the nuns, to use in the the maintenance of the chapel. He is allowed to transfer the bodies of his parents, and of his deceased sister-in-law, D. Margarida de Castro, wife of his brother António Fernandes de Elvas, to this chapel.
Contains a copy of the will (extract) VINC008132 DFEIL EA/003; a sentence regarding a conflict between the nuns of the convent and the brotherhood of that chapel; sentences authorizing the establishment of the chapel; a petition, a licence and a royal warrant authorizing the issuance of the licence.

Bond

Bond by which Paulo Soares, procurador das capelas, declared that he had a sentence against Jorge Fernandes de Elvas, administrator of his mother Inês Lopes' chapel, because he did not incorporate any property into this chapel for the fulfilment of the pious obligations in the Church of São Jorge. The administrator obligated himself to incorporate into this entail some rents he possessed from a property located in Alhos Vedros. Followed by a sentence dated 1613-04-17.
