Will (extract) by which Lucas Geraldes determined that his body would be buried in the main chapel of the church of Nossa Senhor do Loreto. If he failed to entail a rent which would support the celebration of a perpetual daily mass, his patrimony would be employed to guarantee the fulfilment of the pious obligations. Bond signed between the priests of the church of Nossa Senhora do Loreto and Lucas Geraldes/Luca Giraldi, Fidalgo da Casa do Rei. The latter promised to spend 3 000 cruzados in the construction and adornment of their church and, in exchange, the priests would give him the main chapel to serve as a burial place for his body and for his successors' remains. Lucas Geraldes committed himself to buy a public debt instrument of 12 000 réis, which would be entailed to the chapel and support the celebration of a daily perpetual mass.
