Petition made by cónego Afonso Dias, executor of the will made by Sebastião Mendes Canto, in which he asked the Provedor das Capelas to reform some court proceedings that he prepared, and that have been lost by the escrivão das capelas e resíduos, who fled the country, in order to give account of his obligations as executor of the will, particularlly on the disposition left on the codicil of the institutor where he mentioned several debts owed to him should be applied on the purchase of real estate properties to the chapel, with the condition that the executor of the will would increase the masses obligation as he saw fit. Afonso Dias asked the Provedor to summon the administrator of the chapel in order to settle in their presences the quantity of masses that would be added to the entail's pious obligations.
