Violante de Araújo, buys a farmstead called da Laje, near Aldeia Gavinha, termo de Aldeia Galega da Merceana, to annex to his entail. For this acquisition he uses the revenue from the sale of his sugar mill of Santo Estêvão in Salvador da Baía, which had belonged to his entail, but which he had sold, according to the stipulations of his grandparents' will.
