He nominates Joana da Paz, his wife and executor, as the first administrator of the chapel that he instituted in the brotherhood of Santo Amaro, in that hermitage. After her death, the chapel was to be administered by his nephews, sons of Maria Simões, his sister, leaving her wife to choose the one she considered best to fulfill the charges. The following administrators would be appointed by the previous. In case of non-compliance of the charges, the administration should pass to the brotherhood of Santo Amaro. Approval deed follows (dated 1645-06-14).
Will chart of Violante Travassos, ordering her grave in the church of Nossa Senhora de Mourão, in Tentúgal. She instituted a chapel, entailing her untested assets to fulfill the charges, celebrated in the convent of Santa Cristina, and appoints Rodrigo Moniz, her brother, as first administrator. After her death it was to be inherited by António Moniz, her nephew and executor, and then by her eldest legitimate daughter. However, if there were no sons or daughters, the male relative would have preference. In case of non-compliance, the administration would be left to the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament. After the death of each of them, the succession should continue, preferably, on their eldest male heirs. They also left a land to the Misericórdia of Ponta Delgada with the perpetual obligation of a weekly mass.

Will chart of Álvaro da Costa entailing 40 alqueires of land to the celebration of two chapels for his soul, in the monastery of S. Francisco of Ponta Delgada and appointing Vasco Caldeira as administrator and, after his death, Duarte Borges and his successors. Álvaro da Costa also appoints his nephew, Duarte Borges, as administrator and his successor in the available portions and chapels of his father and grandfather; Manuel da Costa, his brother; and Margarida Mendes, his aunt. He mentions that he has a land entailed to the chapel of Beatriz da Costa, his cousin, which will be administrated after his death by the daughter of Beatriz da Costa and her offspring. Will approved in 1606-08-25 and opened in 1606-09-01.
Will chart by which João da Costa expresses his wish to be buried near his parents, in Faial, Vila Franca do Campo, or in the main church of the place where he dies, and bequeaths all of his remaining properties to his siblings, Gaspar Manuel and Briolanja Manuel, to be divided in two parts, each of them with an obligation of half of that chapel, to be prayed in the church where he is buried. Will chart of António Varela Rangel, ordering his grave in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisbon, if he died in Lisboa, or in the church of Misericórdia of Santa Comba Dão, if he died in Beira. He established a chapel in the church of Misericórdia of Santa Comba Dão, invoking Santo António. To endow it, he orders the sale of all his assets and, once the legacies are fulfilled, the purchase of real estate to entail to the chapel. He appoints João Rodrigues de Macedo, his brother, and the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Santa Comba Dão, executors and administrators.
Will chart made by Constança Afonso, widow of Diogo Vaz Cavaleiro in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of two entails. The first one would have a perpetual mass obligation of a weekly mass celebrated in the church of the Misericórdia, in Ponta Delgada, and to administrate it, she named her nephew Afonso Eanes. The second entail would be administrated by her daughter Isabel Dias and her descendants after her, with no mass obligation.
Will chart made by Fernando do Quental in which he ordered his burial in the convent of S. Francisco of Ponta Delgada, where his wife, Margarida de Matos, was buried. He established an entail composed of the remaining part of his properties, with a perpetual obligation of one mass celebrated every saturday wherever his body was buried. He named his son frei Jerónimo do Quental as first administrator and to his eldest daughter after his death, and from there on the succession should continue on the eldest heir.

He declares that he administered another chapel, dedicated to Nossa Senhora do Carmo, in the convent of Santo António dos Capuchos, established by Baltasar da Costa Pereira, whose administration he also left to the António Álvares Pereira de Sousa.

They appoint Maria Carneiro as the first administrator, to be succeeded by her daughter, Ana. They also institute a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora, on the altar of Piedade in the Convent of São Francisco de Azurara, and appoint Justa as the first administrator, to be succeded by one of her children.

She bequeaths them her houses in Lisboa, with the obligation of an annual mass in her burial place. After their death, the entail shall be inherited by their daughter, Antónia Pereira. If she is no longer alive and has no descendants, it will be inherited by Manuel Teixeira, Antónia Teixeira's brother. Followed by approval deed issued in the same day.

The institutor named Francisco Martins Barrento, his brother, as first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he would be succeeded by Apolónia Mendes, his sister. She was to succeed him until he had a son who could be ordained a priest. If she had no children or if none of her sons were ordered, after Apolónia's death it should pass to her eldest son.
Will chart made by João Barreiros and his wife Maria Rodrigues, in which they ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of twenty masses celebrated every year in Portalegre. The institutors named João Barreiros, their son, as first administrator. The entailed assets were to be used as a dowry for their grandson João, to be ordained a priest. After his death, the chapel would be administered by a clergyman whom he appointed or by a layman to be ordained, who must be the closest relative of the said second administrator.
Will chart of Isabel de Castro. She appoints Constantino Mendes de Gouveia, her nephew, as her heir and executor. She orders her burial in the church of Santa Engrácia, where her husband, Estevão Zagalho de Andrade, was also buried. She leaves a candal, a farm in Espiçandeira, on the outskirts of Alenquer, and some houses in Lisboa, in Rua da Feteira, for the celebration of charges. After her executor's death, it was to be left to one of his children. If his lineage was extinguished, the entail would be administered by the Misericórdia of Lisboa. The executor must also give a dowry, in the amount of 100 000 réis, to Isabel Borges de Castro, her sister, to profess in the convent of Espírito Santo in Torres Novas. The executor, and other possessors, had to give an annual account in the Juízo das Capelas of the celebration of the charges.
Will chart made by Jorge Caldeira Tavares in which he ordered the foundation of an entail composed of an estate named Herdade da Reterta and other estates in Portalegre's outskirts, over which he imposed a perpetual pious obligation of three masses celebrated every year. To administrate it he named his son Diogo Caldeira during his lifetime, and, after his death, the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir, or, if he had none, on the closest relative. Clerics and illegitimate sons were excluded from the administration, as well as any administrator convicted with lese-majesty crimes.
Will chart of Martinho Tavares and Maria Carrasca, his wife, founding an entail and chapel in Arronches and appointing as their successor, after their deaths, Martinho Tavares, their nephew, and, after his death, Gaspar Alves, defining the succession clauses. Maria Carrasca also appoints her husband as her successor in the chapel she received from her mother, not named in this will. Will approved in 1651-07-03 and opened in 1651-07-09.
Will of Domingos Martins founding a chapel in Tolosa with the pious obligation of 22 annual masses, 20 for his soul and two for the souls of his parents, and appointing Padre Diogo Caldeira, his cousin, as its administrator. This chapel will be administrated by Padre Diogo Caldeira's generation and will preferably be administrated by a cleric. If any administrator does not fulfil its pious obligations the chapel will be administrated by the confraternity of Senhor of Tolosa.

They would be obliged to choose one of their children, whether male or female, to succeed him in the administration, being able to add to the institution the clauses they wanted.
Will chart made by Diogo Caldeira de Tavares revoking his previous will chart, that was made in common with Maria de Sousa. He leaves the entail instituted by Jorge Caldeira de Tavares to Pedro de Sousa Caldeira. He orders the foundation of another entail with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year. He appointed his second great-grandson to be the first administrator during his lifetime. If his grandson Pedro de Sousa does not have children, a shelter for thirteen women should be set up in his house, opposite the Colégio of the Companhia de Jesus.

The first one, with perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year in Monforte, will be administered by Manuel Álvares during his lifetime; the second one, with masses celebrated every year in Monforte, will be administered by the same Manuel Álvares during his lifetime; the third one, with masses celebrated every year in Monforte, will be administered by Gaspar Ribeiro and Catarina Álvares during their lifetime but, after their death, the administration of the chapel should be delivered to Manuel Álvares. The three chapels are meant to be administered by Manuel Álvares and after his death by his closest relative, according to the laws of the Kingdom.
Will chart by which D. Joana de Macedo, D. Henrique de Noronha's wife, declares that part of her assets should be divided in three parts, which would be given to her husband, her three sisters and the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. Before the deaths of those beneficiaries, their shares must be bequeathed to the convent, whose friars are obligated to celebrate masses for the institutor's soul. At the end of the will, there is an undated declaration, signed by the testator, through which she revokes what she had declared regarding the partition of her patrimony. The testator decides to bequeath all her assets to D. Francisco de Noronha, her stepson, on the condition that he marries her niece, Helena de Macedo. The couple and their descendants are obligated to support the celebration of annual masses for D. Joana de Macedo's soul and that of her mother in the church of that convent. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1546-11-19 and an opening deed issued on 1546-11-21.

She appointed Francisco Carrilho to be the first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he shall be succeeded by Maria Carrilho.

The testator bequeaths part of her patrimony, including lands, houses and a public debt instrument of 30 000 réis in Alfândega de Lisboa, to André Dias Carvalho, her stepson, with the obligation of celebrating annual masses in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. She also asks him to ensure that the pious obligations instituted by her late sister, Beatriz Dias, in the church of Santa Justa, are duly fulfilled each year. Margarida declares that her remains should be buried in the main chapel of that church, where her husband's body lies. Followed by an approval deed, issued on 1577-06-07.

The last one was composed of another land, which should be entailed to a single annual mass, and was to be administered by Maria, daughter of Gregório Dias, who would be succeeded by her children.
Will chart by which Diogo Rodrigues de Lisboa expresses his wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco de Lisboa, in a chapel of the invocation of Nossa Senhora das Candeias, which shall be the head of the entail he and his wife, Jerónima Lopes, established for their daughter, Leonor Jerónima. He also declares they had established another entail for their second daughter, Maria Manuel, with an obligation of giving 6 000 reis to the building of the chapel and the same obligations of masses as her sister. Followed by approval deed, issued in the same day, and opening deed, issued in the following day.

The institutor named padre Manuel Tavares, his nephew, as first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he would be succeeded by Sabina Tavares and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. If any of them were named Gabriel, would take precedence over the others.
Will chart of António Pires Barba, by which he bequests Francisco Carrilho and Joana Inchada, his wife, a chapel, located in Cabeço de Vide, which he had inherited on the death of Vasco Pires, his brother. He leaves part of the proceeds from that chapel to buy a frontal and other implements for the chapel established by Simão Fernandes, his uncle, in the monastery of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, in Castelo de Vide, where he wanted to be buried. After the death of those administrators, the administration would pass to Jerónimo Carrilho. He also left 10 000 réis for the purchase of ornaments for that chapel. He attaches the remainder of the fourth part of his assets, after the legacies were fulfilled and after the death of Ana Gomes, his wife, to the chapel of Simão Fernandes.
Will chart by which Catarina da Silva, António Gonçalves de Gusmão's widow, founded an entail with the pious obligation of celebrating two masses, every week, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. She entailed her houses in Rua dos Escudeiros, in Lisboa, bequeathing them to her niece, Guiomar Cabeia. If her niece died before the institutor, the entail's first administrator should be, instead, D. Luísa da Gama, her other niece. She chose to be buried in the grave where lied her late husband, which was by the chapel of Santa Catarina de Siena, in the church of the said convent. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1589-07-06.

She chooses to be buried in the church of the referred convent, in the grave where lied Jerónima Vaz, her late daughter. Will chart by which Francisco de Alva Brandão founded three entails. The first one was composed of the farmsteads of Santa Catarina and Pontafigo, in the island of São Tomé, and was to be administered by his brother, Mateus de Alva, who should be succeeded by his son, Francisco. The second one had an obligation of annual masses in the convent of Capuchos, in Castelo de Vide, and was to be administered by Roque Nunes Barradas, the institutor's brother-in-law, who should be succeeded by his wife, Violante Brandão, sister of the institutor, and by their eldest son. The third one would also have an obligation of masses in Castelo de Vide and would be administered by Violante Brandão, and afterwards by one of her sons or daughter, who would be chosen by appointment.

Vicente, bequeaths houses in Lisboa to his wife, Margarida Jorge, obligating her to use its revenues to celebrate 5 annual masses for his soul and the soul of Incensa Nunes, his first wife. He declares that his remains should be buried inside the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. Followed by two declarations signed by the testator, written on the same date, through which he revokes his previous wills and by an approval deed issued on August of 1600.

Will chart made in Santiago de Cabo Verde by Rui Baraça, Tesoureiro da Sé, in which he ordered the foundation of two entails. The first entail would be composed of the farm of São Domingos, with it's sugar, cotton and subsistance plantations, thirty cows and also seven enslaved persons, over which he imposed a perpetual pious obligation of one mass celebrated every week as long as the world lasted, naming Fernando de Fontes, licenciado, to administrate it during his lifetime, and, before his death, he would appoint one of his children to suceed him with the same conditions. The second entail would be composed of some cotton plantations, 77 cows and also ten enslaved persons, over which he imposed a perpetual pious obligation of one mass celebrated in every week as long as the world lasted, and to to administrate it he named his nephew Miguel, son of his niece Filipa Olália, with the condition that he would study and become a priest. After the death of Miguel, the administration would then be handled to his mother or to the eldest relative of her lineage, where it should remain. If anyone of the entailed cattle and slaves were sold, died or run away, the administrators of both chapels would be obliged to replace them immediatly, in order to keep their numbers as disposed on this will.

They appointed Margarida to be the first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she shall be succeeded by her eldest male son.
Will chart by which D. Cecília Henriques, wife of D. Jerónimo de Castro, expresses her wish to be buried in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Piedade of the monastery of Santo Elói of Lisboa. She entails her properties, including her farmstead in Turcifal, Torres Vedras, with the obligation of a daily mass for her soul in her burial place. She bequeaths them to the Condessa, who gave them to her, and after her death to her own daughter, D. Joana, and to her female successors. If her daughter doesn't have any children, the entail shall pass to her brother, D. Fernando, and to his female successors.

The testator establishes another entail with her farmstead (quinta) of Barroca, in Almada, which she bequeaths to the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa with the obligation of celebrating annual masses in its church, where her body should be buried. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1507-04-02, and an opening deed issued on 1597-04-08.
Will chart by which Guiomar Soares leaves part of her houses in Calçada Íngreme to her servants, the sisters Antónia Ferreira and Brígida Ferreira, with the obligation of paying for a perpetual mass for her soul at the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa. If the servants didn’t accomplish it, the houses should be pass to Luísa, Roque Gomes and Beatriz Calada’s daughter, and to her heirs with the same charge. The testator gives other options and conditions, affirming that whoever is nominated to succeed in this property must respect the pious obligation. Guiomar Soares orders her burial at this convent, and she also establishes another entail appointing her husband Gaspar Afonso as administrator. Followed by an approval deed (dated 1585-08-29) and a certificate of an opening deed of will (dated 1589-08-07).

Will chart by which Martinho Lopes de Ataíde established a chapel, entailing to it all his remaining assets and appointing his daughter, Isabel do Couto, to become its first administrator. She and her successors had to support the celebration of a daily perpetual mass for the institutor's soul in the chapel of Nossa Senhora of the convent of S. Domingos of Elvas, where his body would be buried. She was obligated to give 200 000 réis to her brother, Manuel, if he ever returned to Elvas. The entail should be transmitted to Isabel's descendants, but if she left no heirs it would be administrated by a priest who would celebrate the annual masses. All the properties she left to her uncle and a public debt instrument of 14 000 given to Madalena Mendes, her ama, would end up being passed to Sancho de Faria and entailed to the chapel. The latter would leave all the entailed assets to his eldest son. She left a public debt instrument of 100 000 réis to the Misericórdia of Évora, obligating its brothers to provide for poor men and to give dowries to orphan girls every year. The institutor established another entail with the properties that she inherited after her parents' death, which her brother, Pedro de Tovar, held from her. She appointed her nephew, Sancho de Tovar, to administrate it and declared that it should be transmitted to his descendants. The testator determined that her body had to be buried in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, inside the grave of her late husband. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1562-10-23.

Will chart by which Manuel Freire, son of André Godinho, expresses his wish to be buried in the church of the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Espinheiro of Évora, where his family is buried. He entails his estate of Vila Fria and bequeaths it to his daughters, Catarina Mendes and Isabel Freire, and to their descendants, with an obligation of 10 annual masses over his burial place. Will chart by which Belchior Gueifão left all his assets, including an olive grove in Sardoal, to his wife, Ana Dinis, declaring that, after her death, they should be transmitted to his great-nephew, Belchior Gueifão, Francisco de Parada and Isabel Dinis' son. Those properties should never be sold or exchanged, and had to be passed to the eldest son of his great-nephew with the obligation of celebrating 5 annual masses for the institutor's soul. If his great-nephew died before leaving descendants, the entail would be administrated by one of his brothers or sisters. The testator declares that his body would be buried in the convent of Nossa Senhora of Sardoal. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1606-05-28.
