Will chart made by João da Fonseca Coutinho and his wife Maria Pereira de Vasconcelos, in which they ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail with a perpetual pious obligation of four masses celebrated every year in the monastery of São Francisco of Portalegre. The institutors named João da Fonseca Coutinho, their son, as first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he would be succeeded by his son.

The second one had an obligation of annual masses in the convent of Capuchos, in Castelo de Vide, and was to be administered by Roque Nunes Barradas, the institutor's brother-in-law, who should be succeeded by his wife, Violante Brandão, sister of the institutor, and by their eldest son. The third one would also have an obligation of masses in Castelo de Vide and would be administered by Violante Brandão, and afterwards by one of her sons or daughter, who would be chosen by appointment.

He also ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of another entail with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year in Portalegre. He bequeaths his son, Duarte Leão, his houses in Lisboa, and the houses which belonged to his wife, according to her codicil, with an obligation of three annual masses: two for his and his wife's soul, in their burial place, and the third one for the soul of his father, mestre Jorge Leão, in the convent of S. Francisco of Xabregas, where he is buried. Jorge Leão died in 1553-12-14. If his son refuses these obligations, the houses shall be given to his brother, Vicente Leão. His heirs must also order an annual mass for the soul of his first wife, D. Francisca de Noronha, and another one for the soul of Maria Fernandes Henriques, in the monasteries of Nossa Senhora do Carmo and of Nossa Senhora da Graça, where they are respectively buried.

Will chart by which Violante Gonçalves, Afonso Eanes' widow, entails her houses in Lisboa with an obligation of 12 anniversaries prayed annually by the bacharéis da Sé de Lisboa over her tomb. She appoints Jorge Afonso, her son, bacharel, João Rodrigues and Estêvão da Maia, correeiros do Rei, to be the executors of her will and administrators of her chapel. When they die, the administration of the chapel shall be given to their three eldest sons and to their successors afterwards. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1526-12-06.

Will chart by which Padre António Coutinho, freire do hábito de Avis, confirmed the donation of all his assets to his brother, Francisco António, and his wife, Catarina Galvão, declaring that those properties could never be sold or exchanged. They both were obligated to support the celebration of a perpetual weekly mass for the souls of his parents and masses during the feasts of Nossa Senhora. If the couple left no descendants, the entail would be inherited by the brotherhood of Santo Sacramento of Veiros and not by the Galvão family, as previously stated by the institutor. The testator determined that the entail had to be passed to the eldest son of its administrators. He referred that, after his death, his body would be buried in the church of Salvador of Veiros. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1580-10-09.

Will chart by which Doutor Carlos Brandão Pereira and D. Catarina Freire, his wife, established an entail with the third part of their assets, which included houses in Lisboa and the farmstead of Malapados. They designated Francisco Freire, their youngest son, to administrate it, declaring that the entail should always be inherited by the youngest son of the future administrators. If Francisco died without leaving descendants, the entail would be passed to António Brandão, his brother. The testators determined that their bodies had to be buried in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Boa Nova of the church of Santa Marinha. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1623-12-31 and an opening deed issued on 1625-03-04.

Will chart by which Bartolomeu Perestrelo, João Lopes Perestrelo's son, established an entail with all his assets, including properties in Ermegeira, Monte Redondo and Lobagueira, in the outskirts of Torres Vedras. He designated his brother, António Perestrelo, to administrate it, ordering him and his successors to support the celebration of a perpetual daily mass for his soul in the chapel of Trindade of the church of S. Pedro de Torres Vedras, where his parents lied. The entail had to be transmitted to his eldest son, who would have to use the family name. He also appointed his brother to become the tutor of his son, Rodrigo, who he had brought from Sofala. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1514-03-15.

Will chart by which D. Maria de Vilhena, Simão da Silveira's widow, established a chapel of 3 daily perpetual masses, which would be celebrated in the main chapel of the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Évora. She appointed Jerónimo de Carvalho, her uncle, and Sancho de Faria, her nephew, to administrate it, leaving a public debt instrument of 100 000 réis and a rent (foro) of wheat taken from properties in Moura, Beja and Évora to support the pious obligations. The administrators had to erect a chapel in that convent, where a family mausoleum would be built. All the properties she left to her uncle and a public debt instrument of 14 000 given to Madalena Mendes, her ama, would end up being passed to Sancho de Faria and entailed to the chapel. The latter would leave all the entailed assets to his eldest son.
She left a public debt instrument of 100 000 réis to the Misericórdia of Évora, obligating its brothers to provide for poor men and to give dowries to orphan girls every year.
The institutor established another entail with the properties that she inherited after her parents' death, which her brother, Pedro de Tovar, held from her. She appointed her nephew, Sancho de Tovar, to administrate it and declared that it should be transmitted to his descendants. The testator determined that her body had to be buried in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, inside the grave of her late husband. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1562-10-23 and an undated and unapproved codicil.

Will chart by which doutor António Dias Zagalo expresses his wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco, preferably in front of the chapels of S. Francisco or of Santo António. He designates his wife, Isabel Fernandes, as his heir and executor, with the obligation of ordering 12 annual masses for his soul, entailed to the properties she inherits from him. The entail shall pass to their eldest son or daughter. If they have no descendants, it will be inherited by their closest relatives, with the exception of Rui Gomes da Vidigueira and his successors.

Will chart by which Francisco Ferreira da Silveira, fidalgo da Casa do Rei and cavaleiro professo da Ordem de Cristo, and D. Maria Velez, his wife, express their wish to be buried in the convent of Anunciada of Tomar. They establish an entail and chapel with their casais, farmlands and other properties in Tomar and its surrounding area, headed by their houses in Tomar. They also annex to it their silver serving set. They designate their eldest son, Manuel Ferreira da Silveira, as first administrator and his descendants afterwards. They will have the obligation of ordering twelve annual masses for their souls.

Will chart by which Maria Leitão, Ana Trigueiros, Margarida Trigueiros and Antónia Trigueiros, João Leitão and Leonor Trigueiros' daughters, stated that, until the death of the last of them, the ones who survived would administrate their patrimony. After their demise, their estate would be passed to Maria de Barros, their niece, António Trigueiros' wife, with the obligation that her and her descendants supported the celebration of 16 annual masses in the convent of Santo António of Varatojo, where the testators' remains would be buried. This pious obligation would be perpetually associated to the properties in A dos Cunhados, Torres Vedras, which could not never be sold or exchanged. Maria de Barros and António Trigueiros were allowed, during their lifetime, to do whatever they wanted with the majority of the inherited properties. At the time of their deaths, the remaining assets would be incorporated in the entail containing the lands in A dos Cunhados. If Maria de Barros died without appointing a successor, the entail would be passed to her husband and his heirs. Followed by declarations issued on 1580-11-01 and an approval deed issued on 1580-11-02.

Will chart by which Bento Gonçalves de Sequeira, Cavaleiro da Casa do Rei, bequeathed the third part of his assets, including his farmstead (quinta) of Fonte Coberta, to his son, Belchior de Burgos, contador, obligating him and his descendants to give, each year, 4 500 réis to the church of Nossa Senhora dos Mártires of Lisboa to support the celebration of annual masses for his soul. After his death, the entail would be inherited by his eldest son. He also left him his post of Escrivão das Fianças. The testator declared that his body had to be buried alongside the remains of his wife, Helena de Burgos, and of his brother-in-law, Pedro de Burgos, in that church. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1568-07-26.

She bequeaths António Álvares and his wife, Margarida Lourenço, and their heirs, her properties in Monsaraz with an obligation of 60 annual masses for her soul, 30 in the church of São Nicolau and the other 30 in the church of Santa Iria of Santarém, and other pious obligations.

Will chart made by Pedro Alves, homem que vivia de sua fazenda, and his wife, Inês Brás. The former left the third part of his assets, including vineyards and lands in Rossais to his wife, ordering her to fulfil various legacies. After the death of his wife, that estate should be delivered to his niece, Vitória do Rego, with the obligation of supporting the celebration of 56 annual masses for his soul in the church of S. João Batista of Lumiar. If those assets were sold, the pious obligation had to go with them.
The testators left lands in Albogas to Maria Brás, Inês' sister, with the obligation of celebrating 2 masses, every year, for their souls in the church of Almargem do Bispo.
They also left a rent (foro) in a vineyard to João Gonçalves, their brother-in-law, and his wife, obligating them to celebrate an annual mass for their souls in an unidentified church. After their deaths, the entail would be inherited by their daughter, Maria.
Inês Brás determined that, after the death of her husband, all her assets had to be delivered to her nephew, Duarte, who would be responsible for celebrating, each year, 57 masses in the church of S. João Batista. If he died before receiving that inheritance, it would pass to Santos, another nephew of Inês Brás.
The testators declared that their bodies would be buried in the church of S. João Batista of Lumiar. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1569-08-30.

Will chart by which Jerónimo de Quintanilha, comendador da Ordem de Cristo, expresses his wish to be buried in the convent of Capuchos da Madre de Deus, near the archbishop D. Gaspar, his uncle. He designates his sister, Cosma Rodrigues de Quintanilha, as administrator of the chapel of Isabel Afonso, of which he was the current administrator by appointment from his father, João de Quintanilha. If Cosma Rodrigues dies before him, or without successors, the chapel shall pass to Maria Duarte, daughter of their sister Beatriz de Quintanilha. He also bequeaths her an orchard in Caspolima, Oeiras, to which he entails an obligation of three annual masses in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa, for his and his parents' souls. After her death, it shall pass to the person whom she appoints as heir of the chapel of Isabel Afonso, so the two obligations are always together.
He bequeaths his nephew, Jerónimo Quintanilha, who lives in S. Miguel, or his sister, 18 000 serafins or pardaus, under condition that he moves to Lisboa with his family and buys properties to entail to an obligation of four annual masses in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade.

She designates her husband, Cristóvão Ferreira da Fonseca, as first administrator of the entail and, after his death, her great-nephew, Diogo Dominico, eldest son of her niece, Maria de Quintanilha, and his descendants.
She also appoints her husband as administrator of the chapel of Isabel Afonso and of the orchard in Oeiras which had an obligation of three annual masses in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade, under the condition that he marries one of her nieces, daughter of Maria de Quintanilha. If he doesn't fulfill this condition, the chapel of Isabel Afonso and the orchard shall pass to Maria de Quintanilha herself, and to her successors.

José de Lisboa, designates his brother, João Pereira, as his universal heir, under the condition that he builds him an hermitage dedicated to S. Gens in his farmstead of the same name, where he wishes to be buried, with the obligation of four annual masses. He bequeaths him and his descendants all of his properties as an entail. If his brother doesn't have descendants, the administration will pass to the Misericórdia of Ourém.

Will chart by which padre António de Andrade, sacerdote de missas, expresses his wish to be buried in the church of Santa Comba Dão, in the grave of his mother, Antónia de Andrade. He appoints his nephew, licenciado Manuel de Andrade de Carvalho, prior do couto do mosteiro, as administrator of Maria Gonçalves' chapel, which he possessed, composed of farmlands in Santa Comba Dão. He also bequeaths him some vineyards and houses in Santa Comba Dão with an obligation of five annual masses in the church of that town. He bequeaths his niece, Antónia de Andrade, properties in Ribeira Dão, with the obligation of ordering one annual mass for his soul. He also bequeaths his other niece, Maria de Andrade, a vineyard and orchard which belonged to another chapel he possessed, and annexes to this chapel his vineyards in Ribeira Dão. He bequeaths Maria and Antónia de Andrade another chapel, which had an obligation of two and a half annual masses, adding an obligation of two more masses to it. All of these properties shall pass to the descendants of his heirs.

She also bequeaths her the estate of Vila Fria, which her father had bequeathed her as a chapel. If her daughter dies without heirs the entail will pass to her closest relatives. If her lineage is extinguished, the entail will pass to the hospital of Évora.

If Jerónimo died without male heirs and only one of his female daughter was available to inherit the entail, the administration should be immediately transmitted to one of his sisters instead, who would have it during her life.

Will by which Diogo Gonçalves do Prado, Guiomar Machado's husband, founded an entail, with the pious obligation of one daily mass to be celebrated in the chapel of Trindade, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. He incorporated various houses he had in Lisboa, a property (casal) in its outskirts, and the third of his and his wife's assets in the mentioned entail. He appointed his son, Diogo, as its first administrator, after whose death he ought to be succeeded by his male first born son. If Diogo died childless, the entail was bequeathed to Fernando de Braga, who then had the responsibility of appointing the next administrator. He chose to be buried in the aforementioned chapel, in the grave where lied his brother, João Gonçalves de Prado. He orders the sale of his assets to fulfill legacies and entails assets to fulfill the chapel's charges, specifying the way he wanted it ornamented. He appoints João Cardim, his nephew, as the first administrator, having to be ordained a priest so that he could also be a chaplain, being there administered by Lourenço Cardim, brother of the founder and his executor. The next administrator must be his mother's closest relative who was a clergyman. If there was no cleric in the family, the parish priest, the judge and the provedor of Misericórdia should choose a priest who would administer it.

After their death, it should succeed their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Will chart by which Gabriel Gonçalves wanted to be buried in the church of the convent of São Francisco de Évora. He established a chapel, incorporating three properties for the fulfillment of charges, celebrated in the church of Santo Antão de Évora. He designated his sister Maior de Azevedo to be its first administrator and, after her death, it should succeed his sister Branca Lopes. After her death, the administrator should belong to their cousin Gabriel Gonçalves' line.
