The testator left "um conto de réis" to be entailed. He appointed his niece Ângela da Fonseca, married to Gabriel de Araújo de Vasconcelos, as the first administrator, followed by her descendants, with the right to appoint one of her children as her successor. If she failed to do so, preference would be given to first-born sons. If they had no descendants, the entail would go to another of the founder's nieces, Mariana da Fonseca, or finally to his natural daughter, Marta da Fonseca. The administrators were obliged to use the family name and had to report to the Juízo dos Resíduos every three years on the correct celebration of the prescribed masses.

Extract of the will made by Gomes Pamplona de Miranda in which he ordered the foundation of an entail, composed of assets in Terceira island, with a perpetual obligation of one mass celebrated every week for his soul and 12 more masses celebrated every year for the soul of his father António Pamplona de Miranda. He named his wife as first administrator of the entail with the condition that if she married a second time the administration should be given to their son João de Ornelas, who would in anyway inherit after her death, and his first born male sons after him. If João de Ornelas died without heirs, the administration should be transmitted to the closest relative of his mother's or aunts or cousins bloodline, and if there were relatives in equivalent condition to receive the administration, he decided that the poorest should administrate the entail. He disposed that every administrator should bare the surname "Borges" or lose the administration, and also give 10 alqueires of wheat to two poor woman, with the condition that each of them would pray a rosary in memory of his soul.

Will (extract) by which Pedro da Silva, bispo do Brasil, established a chapel, designating his niece D. Micaela da Silva, daughter of his eldest brothers, to be its first administrator. The institutor wanted that all his movable goods and his houses in Bahia would be sold in order to buy others for this chapel. The administrator was due to order the celebration of masses, that should be said by a chaplain. After the administrator’s death, it should succeed her son Silvério and, in his absence, another daughter of Micaela. If there were no heirs of the family, it should succeed the eldest servant, or the eldest maid of his house.
Will (extract) of António Jorge da Guerra, in which he declares that all his possessions should be entailed in a "morgado", in connection with a chapel that had previously been built in the monastery of São Francisco de Guimarães, where a retable of the Encarnation would be placed and where the founder would be buried in a tomb with the Guerra coat of arms, as he had in his signet ring. Maria, she can appoint the next administrator among the relatives from their father's side of the family.
Will (extract) by which Beatriz Brandão established an entail, designating her niece Maria de Almeida to be its first administrator. She was due to order the celebration of masses for her and her husband's soul in the Convent of Santo António da Lourinhã. The institutor also established the obligation to donate money to "merceeiras" and for the oil of the candles. Will chart by which Frei Jerónimo da Cunha ordered the construction of a chapel in the church of Santiago of Montemor-o-Novo, entailing immovable property to fulfill the charges. He designated Diogo Narciso to be its first administrator. If this administrator died without heirs, it should succeed the institutor's daughter Beatriz if she was not professed, with the obligation to marry a nobleman with the surname "Cunha". In case of extinction of the lineage, the eldest servant of the last administrator should succeed in the administration.
Will chart by which António de Novais Machado wanted to be buried in the chapel of his father-in-law Manuel da Costa, in the Monastery of Castanheira, and be transferred afterwards to the Monastery of São Francisco de Alenquer. He incorporated into this entail the third part of his assets in order to fulfill the pious obligations in the church where he would be buried. He designated his wife D. Maria de Sequeira to be its first administrator and she should nominate one of their daughters to succeed.
Will chart by which Francisco Lopes and Margarida Dias, his wife, designated each other to inherit all their assets after the death of one of them. After the decease of the last surviving member of the couple, Francisco Lopes' assets would be inherited by Bárbara Rodrigues, his niece, on the condition that she had to change her name to Bárbara Lopes and could not sell or exchange the inherited properties for others. She and her descendants were obligated to support the celebration of 2 annual masses for the testators' souls in the church of S. João of Lumiar. If she died childless, the entail would be transmitted to the institutor's closest relative who used the family name "Lopes". Margarida Dias declares that her assets must be inherited by her nephews, Gaspar Fernandes and Luísa Antunes, who were henceforth obligated to celebrate 4 annual masses for the testators' souls in that church. If they decided to divest those properties, they had to guarantee that they would always be associated to that pious obligation.

The institutor named his sister as first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she would be succeeded by her son, also during his lifetime. After her death, she would be succeeded by Pedro Vaz, her son.

Jorge (Azores) and chosing the farmstead (herdade) of Vale de Palma, in Évora, as the entail's head. Both the entails had identical obligations, and António Pires should choose which one he would have, and João da Silva should have the other one. Both should be succeeded by their eldest sons, preferably male, and each administrator should annex 2/3 of his own reserved portion (terça) to the entail. The administrators should also use the surname "do Canto" or lose the administration. He also appoints Francisco da Silva, his illegitimate son, to succeed him on the administration of the chapel founded by Vasco Afonso, vicar of Machico, island of Madeira.

Will chart made by António Lopes de Faria in which he ordered, among several other dispositions, the foundation of an entail in Vila da Praia with a perpetual obligation of chapel of masses in the hermitage of N. Sra. do Rosário. He appointed his nephew Pedro de Faria as first administrator of the entail and always, preferably, the eldest male heir after him. If Pedro dies without descendants, the administration should be given to António de Faria or the closest relative. He ordered that the administrator should give yearly 1 000 cruzados to the Confraria de Nossa Senhora do Rosário and 10 cruzados to his poorest relatives. He ordered that all the administrators should bear the surname "Faria" or otherwise lose the administration. Finally, he recommended that his nephews should always nourish friendship between them and with the people of Lagoa, conserving the manners of the land and not those of their original lan, Vila do Conde. He also mentioned that his father founded a chapel in Vila do Conde and therefore the administrator of this newly founded entail should administrate both of them.

Sha establishes another entail, entailing a farm in São João da Talha, with charges, for which she appoints Beatriz Pais. After her death, her eldest son should succeed her. She also leaves the olive grove of Forno da Cal, in S. João da Talha, to Joana Rebelo to help her in her wedding with the pious obligation of an annual mass for the souls of the institutor's deceased ancestors.
