Will made by Beatriz Lopes, in which she ordered the foundation of an entail, composed of properties in Porto Martins, Terceira island, with a perpetual mass obligation of a weekly mass and an yearly mass in All Soul's day, celebrated in the church of Santa Cruz, in Vila da Praia. She named her husband Manuel de Barcelos as first administrator, with the condition that he should marry their daughter Catarina. If Catarina ever married, she should inherit the entail, and, if not, the administration should be given to their son Luís. The administrator should appoint one of his children to administrate the entail, and if none of them had children, the administration should be transmitted to one of her nephews, sons of Maria Lopes, except the eldest, who was entitled to the entail founded by her grandparents.

Will (extract) of father Miguel da Fonseca, by which he declared that he wished to institute a chapel in the hermitage of Santa Ana, with the perpetual obligation of a daily mass. The testator left "um conto de réis" to be entailed. He appointed his niece Ângela da Fonseca, married to Gabriel de Araújo de Vasconcelos, as the first administrator, followed by her descendants, with the right to appoint one of her children as her successor. If she failed to do so, preference would be given to first-born sons. If they had no descendants, the entail would go to another of the founder's nieces, Mariana da Fonseca, or finally to his natural daughter, Marta da Fonseca. The administrators were obliged to use the family name and had to report to the Juízo dos Resíduos every three years on the correct celebration of the prescribed masses.

Will (extract) by which João Rodrigues, alfaiate, fulfills the will of his first wife, Catarina Fernandes, by entailing both their third parts, consisting of houses in Lisboa, with an obligation of two weekly masses in the convent of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios of Lisboa. He appoints as administrator of the entail his second wife, Isabel Francia, who shall appoint one of her children as future administrator. This child shall then appoint the following administrator, and so on, keeping the entail always in their lineage.

After her death, the chapel must be administrated by her husband, who would transmit it to their daughter, Mariana Correia, Ambrósio de Carvalho Soutomaior's wife. The latter is allowed to appoint one of their children to be the chapel's next administrator. The testator declares that her mother had left her those houses with the obligation of celebrating 20 annual masses for her soul as long as she lived.

Will (extract) by which Diogo Rodrigues de Lisboa establishes two entails for his two grandsons, António Gomes do Alemo, son of his son Jorge Gomes do Alemo, and António de Torres, son of his daughter, Isabel Henriques, and of Diogo Lopes.
He bequeaths three quarters of his engine in Baía de Todos-os-Santos to António Gomes do Alemo, with the obligation of one daily mass in his chapel of Santo Ângelo, in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Lisboa. If he dies before his grandfather, the entail shall pass to his father and siblings, or, if they have no descendants, to the lineage of António de Torres. He bequeaths the other quarter of his engine to António de Torres, with an obligation of five annual masses in the same chapel and the same clauses of succession as the other entail. After four years, António Gomes do Alemo shall use the revenue of his entail to buy the part of the engine belonging to António de Torres and annex it to his entail. António de Torres shall buy properties to entail in its place with the revenue from this sale. If both their lineages are extinguished, the sucession shall be by appointment.

Catarina Rodrigues and her successors are forbidden to sell, exchange or divide the entailed properties. If one of them decides to do so, the convent is allowed to appoint an honourable and good person to be the entail's next administrator.

Leonor, obligating him and his descendants to support the celebration of 2 annual masses for her soul in the church of S. Miguel of Alfama. After his death, the entail would be inherited by his son, Manuel de Oliveira, the institutor's godson, and transmitted through his generation.
The testator established another entail with houses in the parish of S. Miguel of that city, designating Mécia Fernandes, her criada, to administrate it. She obligated her and her successors to support the celebration of an annual mass on S. Martinho's day in that church and to light a candle every Holy Thursday. At the time of her death, Mécia Fernandes would pass the entail to her eldest son or daughter.

She designated her husband, Manuel de Freitas Ferreira, to administrate it, determining that, at time of his death, he must choose someone among his relatives to become his successor. The future administrators of the chapel had to support the celebration of 300 annual masses for the institutor's soul and the soul of Simão Correia, her first husband, in the churches of Santa Maria Madalena, Nossa Senhora das Mercês, Nossa Senhora da Conceição dos Cardais and in the convent of Paulistas of Lisboa.

Will (extract) by which Francisco Dias designated Baltasar Marques, his son, to administrate the chapel he had established in the church of S. Pedro of Alfama. He determined that he and his successors should give, each year, 1 200 réis, taken from the revenues of houses in Bairro dos Escolares, Lisboa, to that church, whose priests would be responsible for celebrating 18 annual masses for the institutor's soul. The testator entailed a store in Rua da Galé to that chapel. He mentioned that he had already established a contract with the priests of that church. At the time of his son's death, the entail would be transmitted to a son or daughter of his choice.

At the time of his death, the entailed property had to be transmitted to a son or daughter of his choice. If any of the institutor's descendants died before appointing a successor, the entail would be transmitted to the eldest son of the last administrator.

Isabel Luís indicates that she has a daughter of a previous marriage, Maria da Conceição, Simão Correia's wife, and that she must inherit part of her patrimony.

Will (extract) by which Maria Miguéis bequeaths lands in Almada, houses and vegetable gardens (hortas) in Lisboa to Catarina Andrés, Vasco Serpa's sister and Gonçalo Gomes' wife, with the obligation of paying each year 15 libras to the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, whose friars must light a lamp in its main chapel. If the heir dies before she can fulfil the testator's will, the guardian of the convent is obligated to deliver those properties to a relative of Maria Miguéis. She leaves all her remaining assets to Gil Esteves, her nephew, who should use its revenues to support the celebration of annual masses for her soul in that convent, where his aunt's body would be buried.

Extract of the will made by Jorge Dias de Andrade in which he ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail, composed of his own reserved portion, with a perpetual obligation of three chapels of masses celebrated in every week in the see of Angra, Terceira island, one for his soul and the other for his first and second wifes. He named his niece Branca de Sá to administrate the entail, and one of her nephews, sons of Garcia de Andrade and Fernando Gomes de Tapia, to succeed her on the administration, with the same condition of appointing the next administrator by the time of his death. Every administrator of the entail had the obligation of marrying an orphan girl every year.

If she has no descendants, it shall be given to the Misericórdia of Lisboa. And if the foro is "destratado", the person who at that time charges the wheat will have to order 100 masses for her soul.
