The couple explained that they had previously built a chapel dedicated to Santa Luzia, next to the church of Carvalhosa. After their death, their possessions, namely the grain rents, would be incorporated into the chapel, with the perpetual obligation to celebrate two weekly masses. The administrator was not yet chosen.

John. To administrate it the institutor named his cousin Gonçalo Fernandes during his lifetime, and, after his death, the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir or the closest relative. Catarina Pereira Brandão, expresses his wish to be buried in the chapel of Almas of the convent of S. Domingos de Benfica, Lisboa. He establishes an entail with his properties, which he bequeaths to his eldest son, Carlos Brandão Pereira de Cordes, and to his descendants afterwards. He orders his descendants to support the celebration of 30 annual masses in his chapel. If the lineage of his son is extinguished, the entail shall pass to the lineage of his nephew, António Luís de Cordes, with the obligation of a daily mass. After the death of Maria, the administration should be handled to his nephews, António Cardoso, Faustina Maria and Simão, in this order. And after the three of them passed away, the succession should continue always on the eldest heir, male or female, of the last of them. If none of them bared children, the administration should be given to the closest relative. The administrator should order an artist to make a pannel for the altarpiece of the Calvary.

Will by which Manuel de Azevedo Pais declared that his wife D. Antónia Maria de Sequeira left her third in order to establish an entail. The institutor also wanted to use his third to be incorporated into this entail and designated his son Luís António de Azevedo to be its first administrator. He was obligated to incorporate his "legítimas" and to order the celebration of masses for their souls. After the administrator's death it should succeed his heirs and, if he died childless, it should succeed his nephew António Patrício, son of his brother Silvestre Gomes de Morais. The institutor also celebrated a contract with the priests of Congregação do Oratório in order to give them two jars of oil for the candles, and he left some legacies to his sister, nephews and slaves.

Will made by Joana Lopes, in which she ordered the foundation of an entail, composed of some houses in Portalegre, over which she imposed a perpetual obligation of four masses celebrated every year. She named her husband Manuel Rodrigues as first administrator during his lifetime, and, after his death, he would be succeeded by their daughter Catarina da Conceição or to their granddaughter Ana Maria, and from there on the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest female daughter. If none of them had children, the administration would be handled to the descendants of João Fernandes Salgado. If the lineage of the institutor or administrators was extinguished, the administration would be handled to the Irmandade da Ordem Terceira de S. Francisco.

Entail foundation deed by sargento-mor Domingos Pires de Carvalho and his wife Maria da Silva in which they ordered the foundation of an entail, composed of warehouses and urban dwellings in Salvador da Bahia, on the benefit of their son, capitão José Pires de Carvalho, named first administrator during his lifetime and his descendants after him, preferably the eldest male heirs. The administrators should benefit from the income of the entailed assets, reserving 1.400.000 réis in every year to spend in suffrages for the institutor's souls as long as the world lasted, and also 100.000 réis for the upkeep of entailed properties. José Pires de Carvalho and his four sisters expressly agreed on abdicating of their own reserved portions on the benefit of the entail. All administrators that succeeded on the administration of the entail would be obliged to annex and entail 200.000 réis so that the entail could be always enlarged.

She establishes an entail composed of all the immovable assets of her reserved portion, receiving the due consent of her daughter Feliciana Vilhegas to do so, with a perpetual pious obligation of sixty masses celebrated every year. To administrate it she named her daughter Feliciana Vilhegas during her lifetime and, after her death, the administration would be handled to the grandson of the institutor, son of Francisco Soares, and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.

The testator also orders the celebration of masses in the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Bom Sucesso, in the aforementioned farmstead.

Donation deed made by Maria Dias in which she donated a share of an estate named Herdade dos Fartos to her grandson José, son of Manuel de Moura Estaço and Vicência de Melo e Lacerda, annexing that property to the entail of São Miguel, which José would administrate. She also established an entail with a perpetual obligation of three masses celebrated every year, composed of a property in Severete, Alegrete, which would be administrated by her grandson Francisco during his lifetime and passed, after his death, to his eldest son.

If she died without children, the administration would be handled to Domingos, grandson of the institutor.

Codicil made by Luís Fernandes Ligeiro in which he ratified and rectified some of the dispositions of his will. He confirmed his nephew Manuel Gil as first administrator of the chapel and after his death he would always be succeeded, preferably, by his eldest male heir. If he died without heirs, the institutor named his niece Maria Rodrigues to administrate the chapel with the same conditions, as long as she married according to the wishes of her uncles. If she died without children, then the administration should be handled to the sons of her brother Francisco Rodrigues, with the same conditions. The institutor also disposed that besides the perpetual mass celebrated every sunday, the administrators should also celebrate the masses in all holly days.

She establishes an entail composed of farmlands and houses she possessed, with a perpetual obligation of ten masses celebrated every year. The institutor named João Pereira Vinagre, her stepson, as first administrator during his lifetime, with the condition that he would become a clergyman and, after his death, he would be succeeded by his brother António Pereira Vinagre and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. The administrators would be obliged to give two alqueires of oil to the brotherhood of Nossa Senhora do Rosário in order to maintain a lamp perpetually lit on this chapel.

She left very detailed instructions for the ornamentation of the chapel and ordered the administrator to make a lamp in silver, which should always be kept lit. She named her nephew Brás Félix de Abreu as first administrator of the entail, and his eldest son Diogo Caldeira after him, and after the death of Diogo, the succession should always continue on the eldest male heir. If Diogo had no children, the administration should be handled to António de Abreu, nephew of the institutor, or her nieces Elvira or Mariquita, in this order. No administrator could ever marry with a person who descended from hebrews, moors or new-christians.

The first entail would have a perpetual mass obligation of six masses celebrated every year in the mother church of Alegrete, and would be administrated by Salvador, her nephew, son of Miguel da Costa, and by his descendants. The administrators of the entail would have also the obligation of giving one alqueire of oil every year to keep a lamp in the church of Rei Salvador always lit. The second entail, composed of an olive grove ("olival de António Durão"), would have a perpetual mass obligation of two masses celebrated every year and would be administrated by her uncle João da Costa and his eldest daughter after him. The administrator of this entail had to give half of an alqueire of oil to keep the lamp of the chapel of Calvário of Alegrete always lit.

Will made by Maria Dias Feio in which she ordered the foundation of an entail composed of some houses, some lands, vineyard and an olive grove in Nisa and an orchard in Penedo de Pedro Capão, over which she imposed a perpetual pious obligation of thirty three masses celebrated every year. To administrate it she named her nephew Sebastião Miguéis da Devesa during his lifetime and, after his death, the succession should always continue on the eldest heir.

They named one another as first administrators of the entail after the death of the first of them, and after both were deceased, they named their sister and sister-in-law Maria Mouzinho to succeed on the administration. After the death of Maria the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. However, if she had no children, then the administration should be handled to her sister Isabel Mouzinho or her brother Manuel Mouzinho de Albuquerque, or the descendants of her uncle António Mouzinho Barba. If the bloodline of all the appointed administrators was extinguished, then it should be handled to the descendants of Ana Vaz Mendonça, and if she also had no children, then the Confraria do Santíssimo Sacramento should receive the administration.

Will made by Ana de Almeida, in which she ordered the foundation of an entail with a perpetual obligation of twenty masses celebrated every year in the church of Espírito Santo, in Portalegre, where her body should be buried. She named her three children, Gregório Lopes, Catarina de Almeida and Isabel de Almeida to administrate the entail with the condition that they would share the administration during their lifes, and the eldest male heir of each of them. If one of them died, the administration would be handled to the others that remained alive. If none of them had children, then the administration should be handled to her nephew Manuel Ribeiro and his descendants after him. No administrator could ever marry a person descendant of new-christians, moors or hebrews.

Will made in Nisa by Lourenço Dinis de Morais, in which he ordered the foundation of an entail composed of properties in Nisa and Crato with a perpetual obligation of two trinitaries of masses celebrated every year. He named his niece Catarina Maria as first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she would be succeeded by her second born son, whose name is not mentioned, or any of his brothers, with the condition that no administrator acumulated the administration of this entail and of the entail founded by the father of the institutor. From there on the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir, or, on in case his lineage became extinguished, the administration would be handled to the Misericórdia of Crato. No administrator could ever marry with a person of the so called "infected races", because he would otherwise lose the administration.

The institutor also appointed her granddaughter Maria de Abreu to succeed her on the chapel founded by her brother Manuel de Abreu, composed of a house and a vineyard in Portalegre, which had a perpetual obligation of six masses celebrated every year.

Entail foundation deed by which Nicolau Rodrigues de Sequeira established an entail, donating his proprieties to his nephew Domingos de Sousa Santiago Ferraz and to his wife D. Teresa Francisca de Vilhena. The institutor designated both to be its first administrators and established that they were due to order the celebration of masses for his soul. This entail should be succeeded by their heirs and they were also obligated to incorporate two parts of their third. The institutor's nephew and his wife accepted this donation and conditions. This entail is composed of houses and vineyards located in Barreiro, and a farm on the outskirts of Lisboa.

They named one another as administrator of the entail, and after both were deceased, they named Francisco Gomes, brother of the institutor, and, preferably, his eldest male heirs after him, with the condition that they would celebrate not only two, but four trinitarian of masses each year and six masses by Christmas.

However, if Bernardo fenced of a land in Castelo de Vide he would have them for himself, with no pious charges but with the only condition that he would order the celebration of thirty masses.

Their eldest sons should succeed them.

He named his wife Isabel de Góis as first administrator during her lifetime, and, after her death, she would be succeeded by their son Pedro, and from there on the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. If Pedro died without heirs, the administration would be handed to Diogo Dias Galeano, son of the institutor, or to one of his grandchildren, with the same conditions. He ordered his will to be recorded on the Tombo record books of the church of Espírito Santo with a relation of the entailed assets.

Will (extract) made in Pernambuco by Cristóvão de Barros Rego in which he ordered the foundation of an entail composed of one of his sugar mills named São Bento and Nossa Senhora da Conceição, with all of its lands, cattle and slaves, and also by an urban ground in Olinda, over which he imposed the perpetual obligation of one weekly mass celebrated in every monday, as long as the world lasted, in the chapel of Nossa Senhora of Boa Vista. To administrate the entail he named his grandson Cristóvão de Barros Rego, son of Manuel da Mota Silveira and his daughter Catarina de Barros, as first administrator during his lifetime, and, after his death, the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. If Cristóvão had no heirs, the administration would be handled to his younger brothers, and if none of them had children, the entail would be administrated by the son of Simão Pereira Barbosa and Maria do Rego. If none of these alternative lines of succession produced male heirs, only then the administration would be given to the female heirs of Manuel da Mota Silveira and Catarina de Barros. The administrator would be obliged to give a wage worth 50.000 réis to the chaplain of Nossa Senhora da Boa Vista.

After the death of António Mendes Invenções, the entail should be administrated by Isabel Tavares, and after her death the succession would always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. However, if any of Isabel's children wished to become a clergyman, he would be preferred on the administration, using the proceeds of the entailed properties to order himself priest.

He named his adopted [perfilhado] son João da Costa Pereira as first administrator of the chapel and after his death, the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. If João died without heirs, the administration should be handled to Manuel da Costa Barbeiro, who lived in Castille and after his death to the Confraria do Santíssimo Sacramento. All administrators should give in every two years one alqueire of oil to maintain a lamp perpetually lit on the chapel. The institutor left specific instructions for the ornamentation of the chapel, ordering the administrator to place two paintings of S. João Batista and S. Miguel Arcanjo, as well as an image of Menino Jesus over the eagle over the altar of Santíssimo Sacramento.

In case of extinction of the lineage, the administration of the link would be the responsibility of Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Aguiar da Beira. The founders were administrators of the entail instituted by António de Almeida, his grandfather, to which they entailed a property, in order to fulfill their institution. They also order that the same register in the respective tombo.

He appoints Luís Coelho de Pimentel, his son, first administrator, to marry Mariana da Cunha, daughter of João Alves da Cunha Gusmão. The eldest son of this marriage was to succeed him. António de Pina Mascarenhas and D. Luísa Pimentel, his wife, nephews of the institutor, also annex assets to the entail established by their uncle, as did João Coelho de Sousa and D. Joana Luísa Coelho de Sousa, his sister, sons of the institutor.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by Álvaro Vaz Mogueimas, in farmstead (quinta) of S. Bento, in S. Mamede de Arca, in Ponte de Lima, with his available portion and his wife's, D. Catarina de Couros Carneiro, available portion, wich she bequeathed to him in her nuncupative will to unite to his to found an entail and chapel. The institutor appoints as first successor his eldest son, António de Couros Carneiro. If he does not built the chapel, dedicated to Nossa Senhora do Monte da Piedade, during his lifetime his son should do it, leaving him the imagem of Nossa Senhora.

Will chart by which Maria Bárbara wanted to be buried in the Church of São Francisco de Portel. She established an entail in the village of Portel, incorporating assets to fulfill the pious charges. She designated her sister Catarina Mendes Barbosa to be its first administrator, and Francisco Barbosa and his eldest son should succeed her. This entail is composed of part of the "herdade do Cabouco" with its houses in Monte do Trigo; the "herdade do Jesus", in the parish of São João; the "herdade da Fornalha", in the parish of Santa Ana; and olive groves and lands in Valverde.

Entail foundation deed by which Estêvão Barreto do Amaral, fulfilling the nuncupative will of his late wife, D. Catarina de Moura, established an entail and a chapel, entailing to them the third part of the couple's assets, which included a farmstead in S. Miguel da Facha, Ponte de Lima ("quinta do Paço"). He designated his daughter, D. Luísa Madalena Sarmento, to administrate it, determining that the entail had to be transmitted to her eldest son. If she died without leaving descendants, it would be passed to her sister, D. Inês Maria. The future administrators of the entail would be obligated to support the celebration of perpetual masses each Sunday, Holy Day and Saint Stephen's day in the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Amparo, located inside the institutor's farmstead.
