He bequeaths them to his wife, Maria Luís, and to his son, Tomás de Abreu, with an obligation of 16 annual masses and one sung mass over his tomb, in the church of the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Lisboa. The houses shall always be in their lineage.

Will (extract) by which the daughter of Inês Correia, António Marques' wife, establishes a chapel, entailing houses in beco do Gaspar das Naus, Lisboa, and determining that its future administrators should celebrate 24 annual masses in an unidentified church. After her death, the chapel must be administrated by her husband, who would transmit it to their daughter, Mariana Correia, Ambrósio de Carvalho Soutomaior's wife. The latter is allowed to appoint one of their children to be the chapel's next administrator. António de Torres shall buy properties to entail in its place with the revenue from this sale. If both their lineages are extinguished, the sucession shall be by appointment.

Will (extract) by which D. Maria de Sousa entails her half of a public debt instrument of 6 222 réis set in the Alfândega of Lisboa with an obligation of 23 masses in her burial place. She bequeaths it to her sister, D. Helena de Sousa, and to her heirs.

Will (extract) by which Ana Francisca established an entail, appointing her nephew Manuel Gouveia de Carvalho to be its first administrator with the obligation to order the celebration of masses. If he became a priest he should celebrate the masses and by his death his sister Custódia Gouveia de Carvalho should continue with this obligation. This entail is composed of rents (foro) in the outskirts of Almada.

Will (extract) by which Isabel Rodrigues bequeaths to Catarina Rodrigues, her criada, lands in Évora ("casal da Galvoeira"), determining that she and her descendants should support the celebration of 12 annual masses for her soul in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Lisboa, where her body would be buried. Catarina Rodrigues and her successors are forbidden to sell, exchange or divide the entailed properties. If one of them decides to do so, the convent is allowed to appoint an honourable and good person to be the entail's next administrator.

Will (extract) by which Leonor João establishes an entail with the third part of her assets, including a rent (foro) of wheat in Abitureiras, Santarém, and a vineyard in Arruda. She designates her son-in-law, António Soares, to administrate it, determining that him and his descendants should support the celebration of 20 annual masses for her soul in a church in Lisboa. The first administrator must transmit the entail to his eldest son. The latter and his successors have to pass it to their eldest children, without sex distinction.

Will (extract) by which Luísa de Novais bequeaths the third part of her assets to her daughter, Antónia, determining that she and her descendants should support the celebration of 2 annual masses for her soul in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Lisboa, where her body would be buried. The entail must be transmitted to Antónia's eldest son or, if she dies childless or even before marrying, to Francisco Novais.

Will (extract) by which Madalena Gonçalves established an entail, designating her son João Dias to be its first administrator. He was due to order the celebration of masses for her and her husband Brás Dias's soul wherever he wanted. The administrator should nominate a son or daughter to succeed in this entail but, if he did not nominate one, it should succeed her grandson Agostinho de Barros, son of João Dias, who could choose whomever he wanted. This entail is composed of houses located in Lisboa and the administrators were obligated to make some improvements in these houses.

Will (extract) by which Sebastião Afonso bequeaths the third part of his assets, including houses in Praça dos Canos, Lisboa, to his son, Gaspar Afonso, obligating him to celebrate 4 annual masses for his soul and the soul of his wife in the church of S. Julião of Lisboa, where his body would be buried. The houses could never be sold or divided.

Will (extract) by which Margarida Jerónima and her husband established an entail, designating their son José Dias to be its first administrator. They wanted to use their third for the celebration of two masses for their souls. The administrator should give to his sister Jerónima da Silva 30 000 réis and to their niece Margarida 10 000 réis.

Will (extract) by which Gaspar de Brito Freire and his wife, D. Francisca da Silveira, entail their third parts and their farmstead of Vale de Florete with the obligation of a daily mass for their souls in the chapel founded by Gaspar's father, Estêvão de Brito Freire, in the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus of Lisboa. They bequeath it to their eldest daughter, D. Violante, and to her successors. They also order the keeping of 120 000 réis of interest, which shall be given to their other daughter, D. Beatriz, for her marriage. Another entail can be established for her with this interest, if their son, Luís de Brito, wishes to also give money to her. It shall have the obligation of two annual masses in their chapel. If D. Beatriz doesn't have heirs, her entail can be annexed to the one given to her sister. If D. Violante's lineage is extinguished, her entail shall pass to the administrator of the entail of Estêvão de Brito Freire.

Will (extract) by which Domingos Fernandes bequeathed lands in Trancoso do Meio, Vila Franca de Xira, to Catarina da Rocha Monteiro, his granddaughter, obligating her and her descendants to support the celebration of 4 annual masses for his soul and for the soul of his wife, Antónia Fernandes, in the church of S. Miguel of Alfama, Lisboa. After Catarina da Rocha Monteiro's death, the entail would be inherited by her eldest son or daughter.

Will (extract) by which Maria Mendes bequeaths her houses in Lisboa to Antónia Gomes with the obligation of spending the revenue of their leases in masses for her soul.

Will (extract) by which Maria do Espírito Santo designates Luísa de Araújo as her universal heir with the obligation of selling her properties to acquire a public debt instrument or a revenue of 20 000 réis to entail to an obligation of masses for her soul. If she accepts this condition, the entail shall pass to her successors. If she doesn't accept this condition, it shall be administered by the irmãos terceiros of the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus of Lisboa. If they don't accept this obligation, it shall be given to the convent.

Will (extract) by which João Bernardes and his wife, Isabel Dias, established a chapel in the church of S. Miguel of Alfama, entailing to it houses they owned in the parish of S. Miguel of Lisboa. They designated their son-in-law, Domingos Leite Pereira, and their daughter to administrate it, obligating them and their successors to support the celebration of 46 annual masses for their souls in that church.

Will (extract) by which Maria Fernandes bequeathed houses in Lisboa to Antão de Oliveira, Secretário da Rainha D. Leonor, obligating him and his descendants to support the celebration of 2 annual masses for her soul in the church of S. Miguel of Alfama. After his death, the entail would be inherited by his son, Manuel de Oliveira, the institutor's godson, and transmitted through his generation.
The testator established another entail with houses in the parish of S. Miguel of that city, designating Mécia Fernandes, her criada, to administrate it. She obligated her and her successors to support the celebration of an annual mass on S. Martinho's day in that church and to light a candle every Holy Thursday. At the time of her death, Mécia Fernandes would pass the entail to her eldest son or daughter.

She bequeaths the middle half to Cosme Fernandes, son of Rodrigo Fernandes and Brígida Gonçalves, under the condition that he and his successors order five annual masses for her soul in her burial place. Miguel of Alfama. After his wife's death, the entail would be transmitted to the institutor's closest relative chosen by her.

Will (extract) by which Bárbara Lourenço bequeaths her third part, headed by her houses in Lisboa, to her daughter, Catarina Lourenço, and to her successors, with the obligation of ordering three annual masses for her soul in the church of Santo Estêvão de Alfama, Lisboa, where she wishes to be buried.

Will (extract) by which D. Leonor Dias established an entail, designating her "criada" Madalena to be its first administrator. She was due to order the celebration of masses in the Church of São Cristóvão, using the rents of somes houses and vineyards located in Alvalade. The institutor also left some immovable goods for her "criada" get married.

Will (extract) by which Violante Afonso, Diogo Folgado's widow, bequeaths houses in Rua Direita de S. Miguel to Filipa Folgado, her criada, obligating her and her successors to support the celebration of a weekly mass for her soul in the church of S. Miguel of Alfama.
She transmits the entail established by her late husband to his nephew, Francisco Garcês, leaving him 50 cruzados which must be spent improving the state of the entailed farmstead in Talaminho, Amora.
