She appointed Simão Palha, her husband, to be the first administrator during his lifetime. The other conditions would be identical to those of the chapel established by Simão Palha and Beatriz Freire.

Will chart by which Frei Jerónimo da Cunha ordered the construction of a chapel in the church of Santiago of Montemor-o-Novo, entailing immovable property to fulfill the charges. He designated Diogo Narciso to be its first administrator. If this administrator died without heirs, it should succeed the institutor's daughter Beatriz if she was not professed, with the obligation to marry a nobleman with the surname "Cunha". In case of extinction of the lineage, the eldest servant of the last administrator should succeed in the administration.

Will chart by which António de Novais Machado wanted to be buried in the chapel of his father-in-law Manuel da Costa, in the Monastery of Castanheira, and be transferred afterwards to the Monastery of São Francisco de Alenquer. He incorporated into this entail the third part of his assets in order to fulfill the pious obligations in the church where he would be buried. He designated his wife D. Maria de Sequeira to be its first administrator and she should nominate one of their daughters to succeed.

Will chart of Doutor Rui Gago de Andrade and Catarina de Brito, his wife. They entail assets to fulfill charges. They appoint D. Catarina, daughter of Estêvão Gago de Andrade and of D. Guiomar de Brito, their niece, as first administrator. Her eldest son was to succeed her.

Will chart made by João Rodrigues de Castelo Branco, in which he ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail in Portalegre, with a perpetual obligation of six masses celebrated every year. He named his wife Ana Ribeira to administrate the entail during her lifetime and, after her death, the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. All administrators should annex their own reserved portions to the entail and could not add not more than one mass to the perpetual mass obligation.

Will chart by which Estêvão da Rocha de Barros wanted to be buried in the church of Santa Maria Madalena of Turcifal. He designated his brother António da Rocha de Barros to be his heir without any obligations. The institutor annexed his assets to those he inherited from his brother, in order to fulfil the pious obligations. The same would happen with those of his wife Catarina Sanches de Tovar, in case he would administer them.

Will chart of Jerónimo Côrte-Real founding an entail with all their properties located in Évora and in the islands of Terceira and S. Jorge (Azores) and chosing the farmstead (herdade) of Vale de Palma, in Évora, as the entail's head. He appoints his future male son as his heir and the entail's successor or, if he dies without offspring, his brother, Manuel Côrte-Real. The testator also orders the celebration of a daily mass in the mostery where he will be buried, choosing the monastery of S. Francisco of Lisbon, in his father's chapel.

Will chart made by Beatriz Matela de Meneses in which she ordered the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of daily mass celebrated in Portalegre. She appointed D. Francisca da Silva de Sande to be the first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she shall be succeeded by D. Martinho de Vargas. They would be obliged to choose one of their children, whether male or female, to succeed him in the administration, being able to add to the institution the clauses they wanted.

Will chart made by Tomás Tavares in which he ordered the foundation of an entail with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year in the convent of São Francisco of Portalegre. He appointed Sebastião Tavares to be the first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he shall be succeeded by his eldest legitimate male son.

Will through which Doutor Gaspar Vaz Rebelo, Desembargador do Paço, establishes two entails, with the assets he owned in Lisboa and Évora, appointing his two sons, Francisco Rebelo and Manuel Vaz Rebelo, as first administrators of those institutions. If neither of them survived, or had descendants, both of the entails would be inherited by Gaspar de Figueira, the testator's nephew. He instituted pious obligations of celebrating annual masses in the chapel of Jesus, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, and in his chapel, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Évora. He chooses to be temporarily buried in the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. After his flesh disappeared, his bones should be transferred to the grave he had inside his chapel, in the convent of S. Domingos of Évora.

Will chart by which Francisco de Alva Brandão founded three entails. The first one was composed of the farmsteads of Santa Catarina and Pontafigo, in the island of São Tomé, and was to be administered by his brother, Mateus de Alva, who should be succeeded by his son, Francisco. The second one had an obligation of annual masses in the convent of Capuchos, in Castelo de Vide, and was to be administered by Roque Nunes Barradas, the institutor's brother-in-law, who should be succeeded by his wife, Violante Brandão, sister of the institutor, and by their eldest son. The third one would also have an obligation of masses in Castelo de Vide and would be administered by Violante Brandão, and afterwards by one of her sons or daughter, who would be chosen by appointment.

Will chart by which D. Afonso de Castelo Branco, Meirinho-mor do Reino, and his wife, D. Isabel de Castro, established an entail with the third part of their assets, which included houses in Évora, determining that it should be annexed to the entail instituted by D. Guiomar de Noronha ("morgado de Montalvo") and administrated by their eldest son. Therefore, it would be transmitted according to the clauses of its foundation deed. However, if they were unable of bearing a son, their entail would not be attached to the one founded by Guiomar de Noronha. Instead it would be administrated by the institutor's eldest daughter, D. Will chart of Pedro Eanes do Canto founding, among other dispositions, two entails, one for his son António Pires, born of his first marriage with Joana da Barca, and the other for his son João da Silva, born of his second marriage with Violante da Silva. For the first entail he entailed several properties in the islands of São Jorge, Pico and Faial, and a estate named Quinta de São Pedro, with a perpetual mass obligation of a weekly mass in the church of N. Sra. de Nazaré built on the same state, where a monument in his homenage should be built declaring that he participated on the battles of Arzila, Azamor, Afnul, Benegisna, in Persia and Almedina. For the second entail he entailed several properties in Terceira island, in Cabo da Praia, mount Brasil and a state in Lajes, also with a perpetual mass obligation with a weekly mass preached on the chapel of Jesus, that he was building in the main church of Angra. Both the entails had identical obligations, and António Pires should choose which one he would have, and João da Silva should have the other one. Both should be succeeded by their eldest sons, preferably male, and each administrator should annex 2/3 of his own reserved portion (terça) to the entail. The administrators should also use the surname "do Canto" or lose the administration. He also appoints Francisco da Silva, his illegitimate son, to succeed him on the administration of the chapel founded by Vasco Afonso, vicar of Machico, island of Madeira.

Will chart by which Jorge de Sousa Mascarenhas declared that he was married to the institutor's daughter, D. Úrsula Maria, who designated him to be the chapel's administrator. He designated his cousin Jerónimo da Silva Azevedo, to be its administrator after his death. Jorge de Sousa Mascarenhas also declared that he murdered his wife D. Úrsula Maria under the suspicion of being betrayed by her, which he discovered later it was not true. Finally, he declared that his wife made him a donation of all her father's assets, namely a farm and houses in Lisboa, with the obligation to celebrate masses, and that he wanted to incorporate into the chapel of his father-in-law a public debt instrument of 20 000 réis in Mesa da Imposição dos Vinhos.

The institutor named Leonor Velez, his wife, as first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she would be succeeded by António Vaz, during his lifetime. After his death, he would be succeeded by Francisco, his son, and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.

He established an entail with the third part of his assets and with those he had inherited of Apolónia Dias, his deceased wife, appointing Manuel Botelho, his son, executor, universal heir and administrator. Will chart of Álvaro Saraiva da Gama, ordering his grave in the convent of São Francisco of Caria. He had a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Conceição, with a chaplain, where he leaves certain charges, such as in the Franciscan convents of Caria, Vilares and São João da Pesqueira and in the churches of São Pelágio of Vila da Rua and Espírito Santo of Carregal. He leaves three properties to fulfill the charges in the convents and churches and entails the others in a chapel, with head in Quinta do Ribeiro and in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, located on that farm. He appoints Francisco Pereira de Almeida, his nephew, executor, heir and administrator.

Will chart of Pedro de Mendonça Furtado founding an entail with his available portion, composed of his houses in Alhos Vedros, and appointing Tristão de Mendonça, his son, as its heir. He orders two weekly masses over his tomb in Alhos Vedros. He also mentions his father's entail, founded in his will, composed of properties in Lavradio. He established an entail, incorporating all his assets, which included olive groves and land, in order to fulfil the pious charges in the Chapel of the Confraria de Nossa Senhora do Rosário, in that monastery. He designated his niece Beatriz de Lamim, daughter of Mateus Nunes de Lamim, to be his universal heir, changing her name to Beatriz Dantas. Followed by several declaration deeds, one of them dated 1593-10-10.

Will chart by which Belchior Mouzinho de Seabra e Melo and his wife Inês de Abreu established an entail, incorporating some houses located in Setúbal in order to fulfill the pious charges in the Church of São Francisco de Setúbal. They designated their daughter D. Mariana de Melo Luís to be its first administrator.

Will chart by which Cristóvão Bocolli, cidadão cremonês, established an entail with a farmstead in Lisboa ("quinta da Palma"), houses on that city and 18 african civets ("gatos de algália"), which were kept in a wooden house in the farm and generated an annual profit of 100 000 réis. He designated his illegitimate son, João Bocle/ João Boche, husband of Maria Luís, to administrate it, obligating him to support the celebration of a daily perpetual mass in the church of Nossa Senhora do Loreto. The institutor ordered the making of 4 tombos containing copies of the entail's institution and other deeds, 3 of which would be delivered to the Hospital de Todos-os-Santos, the referred church and the Juízo dos Resíduos. The testator declared that he had made a will with his late wife, Graça Teixeira, in which they had demanded the celebration of a perpetual daily mass for their souls in Nossa Senhora do Loreto, where he had erected a chapel. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1560-10-28 and an opening deed issued on 1561-03-13.

The institution is made with the consent of Domingos do Amaral Cabral, son of the institutors, who also entails his heritage.

She named both her nieces Maria Soares and Catarina de Jesus to administrate the entail during their lifes, and after the death of the first one, the administration would be go to the other. After their deaths, the administration should be assumed by to the eldest female daughter of the last one of two firstly appointed administrators, and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest female daughter. If none of them had children, the administration would be transmitted to Domingas Gonçalves who would administrate it during her lifetime and appoint a successor before her death. All administrators were obliged to entail their own reserved portions to the entail. Only the Visitador do Bispo could take accounts on the administration.

They entail a third of their assets to the entail they administered, appointing Luís Lobo, their son, to be his administrator.

Will chart made by André Rebelo Tavares, in which he ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of one mass celebrated every year in Portalegre. He appoints Isabel de Macedo, his wife, his executor and universal heir, who shall have the usufruct of all assets during her lifetime. The entail would only be formed after Isabel de Macedo's death. The institutor named Aldonça Zuzarte de Mendonça as first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she would be succeeded by Rui Pais de Mendonça, her son, and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.

Will chart made by Bernardo da Fonseca Castelo Branco and Isabel Zuzarte, his wife. Will chart made by João da Fonseca Coutinho and his wife Maria Pereira de Vasconcelos, in which they ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail with a perpetual pious obligation of four masses celebrated every year in the monastery of São Francisco of Portalegre. The institutors named João da Fonseca Coutinho, their son, as first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he would be succeeded by his son.

Will chart by which Doutor Carlos Brandão Pereira and D. Catarina Freire, his wife, established an entail with the third part of their assets, which included houses in Lisboa and the farmstead of Malapados. They designated Francisco Freire, their youngest son, to administrate it, declaring that the entail should always be inherited by the youngest son of the future administrators. If Francisco died without leaving descendants, the entail would be passed to António Brandão, his brother. The testators determined that their bodies had to be buried in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Boa Nova of the church of Santa Marinha. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1623-12-31 and an opening deed issued on 1625-03-04.

Will chart by which Francisco Ferreira da Silveira, fidalgo da Casa do Rei and cavaleiro professo da Ordem de Cristo, and D. Maria Velez, his wife, express their wish to be buried in the convent of Anunciada of Tomar. They establish an entail and chapel with their casais, farmlands and other properties in Tomar and its surrounding area, headed by their houses in Tomar. They also annex to it their silver serving set. They designate their eldest son, Manuel Ferreira da Silveira, as first administrator and his descendants afterwards. They will have the obligation of ordering twelve annual masses for their souls.

Will chart by which Bento Gonçalves de Sequeira, Cavaleiro da Casa do Rei, bequeathed the third part of his assets, including his farmstead (quinta) of Fonte Coberta, to his son, Belchior de Burgos, contador, obligating him and his descendants to give, each year, 4 500 réis to the church of Nossa Senhora dos Mártires of Lisboa to support the celebration of annual masses for his soul. After his death, the entail would be inherited by his eldest son. He also left him his post of Escrivão das Fianças. The testator declared that his body had to be buried alongside the remains of his wife, Helena de Burgos, and of his brother-in-law, Pedro de Burgos, in that church. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1568-07-26.

Will chart of João Borges de Morais. He was one of the administrators of the entail instituted in 1674, appointing António Borges de Morais, his son, to succeed him.

Thus, it also establishes an entail with all its real estate, appointing Lourenço Dias Preto, his son, first administrator.

Will chart by which Heitor Henriques Sacoto and his wife Joana Henriques founded a chapel in the Hermitage of the farm of Santa Cruz da Vermoeira, in Torres Vedras. They entailed assets to fulfill the pious charges and the surviving spouse should nominate the administrator.

Will chart by which António Cordovil institutes an entail, by entailing assets for the fulfillment of pious charges. He appoints Francisco Cordovil, his legitimate son, as its first administrator. He chose to be buried in the grave where lied his sister, Maria Cordovil, in the chapel of Jesus of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa.

Will chart by which Gaspar Barreto Cabral wanted to be buried in the monastery of São Francisco de Évora. He incorporated into this entail a "moio" of cereal from the "herdade da Bodoeira" and "herdade da Bala", in the parish of São Brás de Regedouro. He designated his grandson Gaspar Barreto to be its first administrator, who should be succeed by his eldest son. The institutor was the administrator of the chapel founded by Diogo Pires, designating his grandson Gaspar Barreto to be its administrator. The institutor was also the administrator of the chapel founded by Maria Afonso, with the obligation to order the celebration of masses in the Cathedral of Évora, designating his grandson to be its successor.

Will chart by which D. Filipa de Sequeira, wife of André de Sousa Chichorro, expresses her wish to be buried in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade, where her father, João Mendes Botelho, is buried. She appoints her husband as her heir and executor, with the obligation of establishing weekly and annual masses for her soul in her burial place, to which he should entail a public debt instrument in the Alfândega of Lisboa. If his husband frees the chancel of the convent of S. Francisco de Alenquer, where he has a family tomb, her bones can be transferred to that place. She bequeaths all her properties, including houses in Lisboa, her quinta da Granja, casais in Odivelas and another public debt instrument, to her husband, as an entail. After his death, they shall pass to her nephew, Luís Mendes Barreto, who must marry D. Leonor de Sá, daughter of André de Sousa Chichorro. If this marriage doesn't take place, the entail shall be inherited by D. Maria, sister of Luís Mendes Barreto, who must marry Jerónimo de Sousa, eldest son of André de Sousa Chichorro. It shall then pass to their descendants.
D. Filipa de Sequeira also revokes her part in the will of her first husband, Francisco da Costa, except the clause by which she gives 10 000 cruzados to her nephew, who is in India, if he marries Francisco da Costa's niece. This money shall be entailed to Francisco da Costa's property, but only if the marriage takes place.

Roque that they were building. They named their son Simão Pamplona de Miranda as first administrator and one of his male grandsons after his death, and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. All administrators should use the surname "Pamplona" or otherwise lose the administration and they were forbiden to marry with descendants of moors and jews. The administrators were also obliged to entail their own reserved portions to the entail.

Will chart of João Soares Ribeiro, ordering his grave in his chapel of Espírito Santo, located in the mother church of Sernancelhe. He established an entail with a third part his assets and the a third part of assets that D. Francisca had left him and appointing Diogo Ribeiro, his son, to administer it. The succession should be done in the same way as his father determines when he entailed a third part of his assets, except for the obligation to reside in Sernancelhe. He entailed half of the land of Ressaio to the entail instituted by his father. He also administered an entail instituted by Cristóvão da Fonseca Ribeiro, his uncle, ordering that the administrator foreseen in the institution be followed. The charges were to be celebrated in the chapel of Nossa Senhora das Neves, in Távora.

She appoints Mamede de Abranches, her husband, heir, executor and first administrator. He was to be succeeded by Marcos de Abranches, the founder's nephew, and Marta de Morais, his wife.

Will chart of Gaspar de Simas, in which he ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail with a perpetual pious obligation of twelve masses celebrated every year in Arronches. The institutor named Gaspar de Simas, his nephew as first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. Isabel Álvares, wife of the founder, would have the usufruct of the entail estate until Gaspar de Simas married, and half after that marriage, during her lifetime.

Will chart made by Simão Palha and his wife Beatriz Freire in which they ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year in Crato.They appointed their eldest son to be the first administrator during his lifetime.

Will chart made by Filipa Cabreira Mexia in which she ordered the foundation of an entail with a perpetual pious obligation of three masses celebrated every year in the chapel of Reis, in Portalegre. She attaches the chapel established by Manuel da Fonseca, in Quinta do Reguengo, so that it would be united to this new entail. She appointed Nuno da Fonseca Coutinho to be the first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he shall be succeeded by Manuel da Fonseca. After his death, he shall be succeeded by his brothers, from oldest to youngest, preferring males to females.

Will chart made by Isabel Velez, in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of three masses celebrated every year in Portalegre. She appointed António Martins de Carvalho, her husband, and D. Branca, their daughter, as first administrators. António Martins de Carvalho would have the administration, during his lifetime, if he did not remarry. If he did, the administration would pass to D. Branca.

Will chart by which Luís de Figueiroa Castelo Branco establishes a chapel in the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa with the third part of his assets and part of the patrimony of both his first and second wives, Joana Lopes and Madalena Leitão, including houses in Lisboa. Luís appoints his son, Manuel de Figueiroa, to be its first administrator, obligating him to celebrate masses for his soul and those of his next of kin. He asks his daughter, D. Catarina, and his son to build two graves in that chapel. The first one should receive the remains of the testator and Madalena's. The second was destined to receive the bones of Joana Lopes and her ancestors. Followed by an approval deed, issued on 1599-01-09.

Will chart by which António de Torres Manso annexes properties to the chapel founded by Maria Barata, in Oleiros, which would pass to his daughter, Maria Temudo, after his death. He annexes his half of his entail to the chapel founded by his uncle, Baltasar Manso, as he had agreed with with his deceased wife, Beatriz Barata, in their previous will. He designates his son, António de Torres Manso, as administrator of this entail. He also appoints him administrator of the chapel founded by by Afonso Álvares, in the mother church of Álvaro, which he had inherited from his wife, and annexes properties to it.

Will chart made by Ana Ribeiro Pais, widow of João Rodrigues de Castelo Branco, in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of three masses celebrated every year in Portalegre. The institutor named Mem Rodrigues de Castelo Branco, her son, as first administrator during his lifetime, on condition that he leaves Leonor Dias. If he did not, the administration should pass to Trajano Rodrigues, his brother.

Will chart by which Francisco Rodrigues Belo annexes two more masses to the obligations entailed to his farmstead in Bucelas, for his soul and the soul of his brother, André Teixeira. He entails to them his properties in Alhos Vedras and appoints Heitor, son of his niece, Maria de Oliveira, as future administrator. His mother shall have the administration of his properties during his minority.

Will (extract) of Belchior da Costa and Joana de Melo founding a chapel with the pious obligation of five masses celebrated in the church of Nossa Senhora of Covilhã.

Exemplification of an extract of the will of Diogo de Aragão Pereira ordering the foundation of two chapels in the capitania of Baía, each with a weekly mass obligation, for which he entails a farm near his sugar-mill named Engenho de Cima. He named his older son António de Aragão Pereira to be the first administrator of both chapels, and his male heirs after him, and in the absence of heirs, the administration should be given, in order, to his sons Pedro Camelo de Aragão or Diogo de Aragão Pereira.

Will (extract) of Rui Mendes, by which he left to his nephew, son of his sister, estates to be entailed in a chapel, with the perpetual obligation to celebrate 12 anual masses. Succession was to pass to the first-born sons. The administrators had the obligation to entail assets, and were compelled to registrer the institution in the "Livro das Capelas do Provedor da Comarca".

Will (extract) of Manuel Abreu de Sousa instituting an entail with the third part of his assets, including a property in Elvas ("herdade da Alcarapinha"). After his death, the estates should remain in D. Filipa's hands, his wife, who would be succeeded by his son Sebastião de Sousa as administrator. The administrators of the entail were obligated to support the celebration of an annual mass, each All Saints' day.

Will (extract) of Francisco Velasco de Gouveia, by which he establishes Baltasar Pereira do Lago, son of Gaspar Pereira do Lago, his nephew, as his heir. The testator entails all his real estate, including houses in Lisboa, lands (casal) in Mafra and the Fonte Boa's estate (herdade), in Ferreira do Alentejo. The entail's administrator was obligated to administer it with the chapel established by Beatriz de Gouveia, his mother, in the convent of São Domingos of Lisboa, and with the one established by Duarte de Almeida, in the same convent. Francisco added annual masses to the pious obligation his mother had already instituted. He chooses to be buried in the chapel, located in the cloister of the referred convent, where his parents lied.

Will (extract) by which Lopo Duarte Ximenes and his wife Joana da Veiga established an entail using their third part, appointing their eldest son Manuel Ximenes to be its first administrator. He was due to order the celebration of masses in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Lisboa. The successors are obligated to use half of their third to be incorporated in the entail.

Will (extract) by which Garcia de Resende established an entail, incorporating assets for the fulfillment of the pious charges. He designated his son Francisco de Resende to be its first administrator and his eldest son should succeed him.

Will (extract) by which Gaspar Malheiro establishes an entail with his third part, and appoints his son, Francisco Malheiro, as administrator. This entail shall always be joined to the one established by his wife, D. Ana Maria Ferreira, and have the same conditions of succession and pious obligations as hers.

Will (extract) of Diogo Carneiro and Beatriz de Castro, his wife. They instituted a chapel, entailing a third of their assets for the celebration of charges, upon finalising the payment of legacies. Francisco Carneiro de Brito, his son, is appointed first administrator. Beatriz de Castro administered a chapel instituted by Helena de Brito, her aunt, for which she also appoints Francisco Carneiro de Brito, her son, ordering him to annex it to the chapel she instituted with her husband.

Will (extract) by which Francisco de Barros de Paiva, husband of D. Maria da Guerra, establishes an entail with the third part of his properties. He bequeaths it to his eldest son, Jorge de Barros, and to his successors thereafter, under the condition that they shall keep the family name Barros, order an annual divine office for his soul in his burial place and add the third part of their thirds to the entail. If Jorge de Barros has already died at the time of his father's death, the entail shall be inherited by his younger brother, João de Barros. If João de Barros has also already died, it shall go to their cousin, Francisco de Barros. He asks that his wife and executors add to his third part his casal in Loures, his houses in Rua Nova, Lisboa, a public debt instrument of 100 000 reis or his farmstead in quinta da Fonte da Telha, whichever is better. He also orders that his son, when he becomes an adult, add his legitime to the entail, together with the third part of his third.

Will (extract) by which doutor Gabriel de Almeida demands that the sucessor of his entail, Gabriel, his nephew, orders a daily mass with responsory and an anniversary mass for his and his parent's souls in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. He appoints his sister and brother-in-law as administrators of the entail during Gabriel's minority. He also establishes that the sucessors of his entail shall pay 30 000 reis to his sister, D. Joana de Vasconcelos, nun in the monastery of Odivelas, while she lives. If the lineage of his nephews is extinguished, the entail shall also be extinguished and the properties shall be given to the Ordem Terceira and to the Hospital of da Irmandade dos Clérigos da Caridade, with the same obligation of masses, or to the church of S. Lourenço, if the convent of S. Francisco doesn't accept it.

Will (extract) by which Henrique Jacques establishes an entail with the third part of his revenue. He bequeaths it to his eldest son, and his descendants thereafter, who shall also annex to the entail their third parts and use the surname Jacques. He asks his wife to also annex her third part to the entail, in the quinta do Vale de Mourelos. He establishes a chapel of three annual masses in the convent or church where he shall be buried. If his descendants die before his wife, the entail shall go to her, until she marries again. If his wife has already died, it shall go to his nephew, also called Henrique Jacques, and to his descendants, with an obligation of 100 annual masses. If these two lineages are extinguished, the entail shall pass to the Misericórdias of Lisboa and of Lagos.

Will (extract) by which Mamede Soares, administrator of the chapel established by his grandmother, Mécia Dias, bequeaths to his wife, D. Isabel de Macedo, houses near the armazéns do rei, in Lisboa, with the obligation of two annual masses in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. After her death, the houses shall be annexed to the chapel, with the same obligation.

Will (extract) by which Diogo Dias Lobo establishes a chapel with the obligation of one annual mass for his soul in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. He appoints his sister, Catarina Lobo da Silva, wife of Manuel da Gama, as its first administrator, and her descendants afterwards, with the condition that she shall buy properties to entail with the remains of his assets. If his sister dies without descendants, or if the obligations are not fulfilled for a year, the entail shall be bequeathed to the confraria da Santa Doutrina of S. Roque, Lisboa.

Will (extract), by which António Lopes de Murga orders his wife, Violante Correia, to acquire a papal authorization so that, for each mass prayed in the chapel of the Santas Relíquias of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, established by his uncle, Gaspar Lopes de Murga, a soul is taken from Purgatory. He also asks her to buy 1000 reais of foros to keep a lamp permanently lit in the chapel. He entails a vineyard and properties he bought to the chapel, with the obligation of six annual masses, and orders the acquisition of more properties to establish a daily mass for the souls of his relatives. He also orders his wife to establish a daily mass for his, his son and his relative's souls, in a church or convent of her choosing, with the capacity to appoint any person she wants as its administrator, after her death.

Will (extract) by which Doutor Luís Correia establishes a chapel with a daily mass and one yearly divine office in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. He entails to it rents in the value of 1 000 cruzados, to be employed in the acquisition of interest and properties for the chapel. He appoints his niece, D. Maria Mancelos, daughter of D. Isabel de Leão, as the chapel's first administrator, under the condition that she shall entail to it the properties she will inherit from her mother and grandmother.
