Entail foundation deed by Luís Teixeira Cabral and his wife in their farmstead of Lourenço Domingues, in Pinhel, annexed to their chapel of S. Sebastião, located in that farmstead.

Entail foundation deed by Rui Brandão, fidalgo da casa do rei. The founder reserves his "terça" and includes in it several urban and rural estates, the head of which is the "Torre de Pedro do Sem", located in the parish of S. Martinho de Cedofeira, outside the walls of Porto, to which the patronage of the church of S. Paio de Guimarei was attached. Rui Brandão appointed his son Luís Brandão, or alternatively Diogo Brandão, as the first administrator. The heirs of the entail would be the first-born sons, or daughters in the absence of male heirs. The heir had to be physically and mentally fit, excluding people of illegitimate descent, clerics, monks, friars and nuns. The administratores had to live in Porto, marry with their parents' consent, entail half of their "terças", use the Brandão's name and coat of arms, and pay an annual rent to Rui's daughters, who were nuns in the convents of S. Bento de Avé-Maria and S. Clara in Porto. Perpetual masses were to be celebrated in the convent of S. Francisco do Porto for the soul of the founder and his wife, Maria de Madureira. Three inventories were to be drawn up, containing the deed of foundation and the property, with the coat of arms of the instituter: one copy was to remain in the hands of the administrators, while the other two were to be kept in the Convent of S. Francisco, where the founder was to be buried, and in the Misericórdia of Porto.

Entail foundation deed by which André Soares, fidalgo da Casa do Rei e seu escrivão da Fazenda, and his wife, D. Maria Botelho, establish an entail with their third parts, consisting of houses and estates in Lisboa and other properties in the outskirts of the city. They designate their eldest son, Manuel Soares, as first administrator, and his descendants afterwards. The entail shall be associated to the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição which they established in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa, and to which was entailed a public debt instrument set in the Casa da Alfândega of Lisboa, with the obligation of a daily mass for their souls. The chapel would be administered by the administrators of the entail, but its properties were to be separated from it.
Manuel Soares is present, accepts the conditions of the entail and promises to entail his legitime to it.

Entail foundation deed by which Francisco Soares de Abreu established an entail with his houses in Lisboa, a rent (foro) of a wine barrel taken from a farmstead in Carcavelos, a public debt instrument of 100 000 réis and 1 000 cruzados. He designated his eldest son, Cristóvão Soares de Abreu, to administrate it, obligating him and his descendants to support the celebration of a daily perpetual mass in a church close to their residence. Cristóvão Soares de Abreu accepted this deed.

Entail foundation deed by which António de Sousa de Macedo and D. Mariana de Lemercier, his wife, change clauses of a previous entail foundation deed issued on 1673-11-08. They establish an entail with houses in Lisboa, a farmstead in that city ("quinta de Nossa Senhora da Luz"), lands in Carnide, a rent (foro) in Azambuja, properties in Benavente and the captaincy of Ilha Grande de Joanes, Brasil, designating their son, D. Luís Gonçalo de Sousa de Macedo, Barão da Ilha Grande de Joanes, to administrate it. The institutors attach this entail to the chapel they had founded in the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus, where their bodies and those of their descendants would be buried and annual masses would be celebrated for their souls. D. Luís Gonçalo de Sousa de Macedo and his wife, D. Mariana de Távora, approved this deed.

Entail foundation deed by António do Prado and Maria Monteiro Cardoso, his wife, and donation of the same to Francisco Monteiro Cardoso, their brother. The related assets are entailed, reserving their usufruct while the founders are alive, and the charges are established, celebrated in the hermitage of São João that existed in their farm of São João de Vale de Antas, which had to be repaired. After the death of Francisco Monteiro Cardoso and Leonor Henriques, his wife, the entail was to be inherited by Francisco Soeiro, their eldest son.
It contains a letter of attorney of Maria Monteiro Cardoso so that António do Prado, her husband, can represent her (dated 1622-11-14).

Entail foundation deed by Rafael Pinto Machado and his wife Antónia Ribeiro de Almeida, under the invocation of Nossa Senhora da Purificação. They entail all their assets, to fulfill the charges, celebrated in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Purificação, in the parish of Salvador de Resende. The assets are attached to the entail instituted by João Ribeiro de Almeida, father and father-in-law of the founders, which they administered.

Entail foundation deed by D. João de Sousa de Castro and D. Catarina de Nóvoa Henriques, in Melgaço, with all their properties, both inherited from his late parents, Lopo de Castro and Francisca de Cavedo, and bought by them, annexing this new entail to his parents' entail, founded in 1601. They also order the building of a chapel in Melgaço, united to the town's mother church, with some pious obligations. One of the masses will be celebrated in the chapel of the entail of Fecho, in Roussas, in the outskirts of Melgaço, founded by Lopo de Castro and Francisca de Cavedo.

Entail foundation deed by Álvaro Afonso and Grimaneza Pereira, his wife, in Quinta do Paço, in couto de Barbeita, in the outskirts of Monção, to their nephew, Rodrigo Afonso Pereira, son of Pedro Vaz Pereira and Genebra Fernandes, their nephew and niece. They also order the mass celebration in the chapel they ordered to build in the church of S. Salvador of Barbeita.

Entail foundation deed by Isabel Cabral, widow of João Álvares de Caminha, with the remaining part of the available portion of her husband and with her own available portion, composed of her houses in Rua Nova, in Lisbon, which will be the entail's head, and her farmstead (quinta) in Romeira, in the outskirts of Almada, to her son, Manuel de Caminha, appointed as her successor. The institutor also orders that the entail's administrators will administer the chapel she built in the monastery of S. Francisco of Lisbon, with the pious obligation of a perpetual daily mass for her and her husband's soul. Manuel de Caminha was present and accepted this institution, being mentioned also as institutor.

Entail foundation deed by which Rui de Pina, fidalgo da Casa do Rei, cronista-mor do reino and guardião da Torre do Tombo, and his wife, Catarina Vaz de Gouveia, establish an entail with the third part of their properties. They bequeath it to their son, Fernando de Pina, fidalgo da Casa do Rei, and his descendants. They also establish a chapel in the new cathedral of Guarda, with invocation of the Holy Spirit, where they shall be buried and to where the bodies of their parents shall be transfered, with the obligation of eight annual masses for their souls, the souls of their parents, and the souls of D. João II, his wife D. Leonor, their son D. Afonso, and D. Manuel I. If Fernando de Pina dies without descendants, the entail shall be bequeathed to one of his sisters, Leonor de Pina, or, if she also dies without descendants, to their other sister, Isabel de Pina, wife of Fernando Brandão. Fernando de Pina is present, and accepts the conditions.

Entail foundation deed by which Isabel do Avelar, widow of doutor Gonçalo Vaz Pinto, do Desembargo do Rei, establishes an entail, fulfilling the will of Jerónimo de Figueiredo, deceased, son of her first marriage to Henrique de Figueiredo. She entails her quinta in Ribas de Alenquer, instead of the property appointed in her son's will, with an obligation of four masses in the church of Santa Justa of Lisboa, and another mass in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. She appoints her other son, António de Figueiredo, cavaleiro da Casa do Rei, as first administrator, and his successors thereafter. If António de Figueiredo dies without descendance, the entail shall be bequeathed to Leonor de Avelar, Isabel do Avelar's niece.

Entail foundation deed by which Álvaro Cardoso revokes a previous foundation deed. He entails several assets for the fulfilment of charges, celebrated in the church where he was buried and in the monastery of São Francisco of Santarém. He appointed Álvaro Cardoso to be the first administrator during his lifetime, with the obligation of endowing Leonor Cardoso for her wedding. After his death, he shall be succeeded by his eldest son, being legitimate.

Entail foundation deed in which Frei Bartolomeu de Santo Agostinho and Miguel de Abreu, Ana de Abreu’s brothers, fulfiled her will by executing the deed in front of the provedor dos resíduos, including the necessary conditions and obligations. The entail was instituted by Ana de Abreu, who chose her brother Miguel de Abreu as the first owner. Frei Bartolomeu de Santo Agostinho and Miguel de Abreu stipulated that Miguel Abreu’s eldest son should succeed him or, if he did not have a son, his eldest daughter. They provided detailed alternatives for succession, where males should always precede females. If the direct line of descendants of Miguel de Abreu were to end, other lines of the family would be considered except for the offspring of D. Margarida, Isabel de Abreu’s daughter. Illegitimate succession could only be considered as a last resort and clerical succession could occur before passing the entail to a transversal line. Other conditions for succession are detailed, including the pious charges Ana de Abreu established and the obligation of successors to annex a third of their assets. The remaining amount of Ana Abreu’s assets was delivered to Miguel de Abreu, who was to invest it to enrich the entail. It inserts an extract from Ana de Abreu’s will.

Entail foundation deed by which Manuel Jorge establishes an entail with his third part, consisting of a public debt instrument in the Alfândega of Lisboa and properties in Lisboa, Loures, Cascais and Mafra. He establishes a daily mass for his soul in the chapel of Cristo Jesus in the cloister of the convent of S. Francisco de Xabregas, Lisboa. He appoints the eldest grandson of Isabel Ferreira and Pedro Cardoso, his daughter and son-in-law, as first administrator, and his successors afterwards.

Entail foundation deed by which Amador Rodrigues, mercador de sedas, and Maria de Castanheda, his wife, established an entail with the third part of their assets, including 3 houses in Lisboa. They designated Simão Rodrigues Castanheda, their youngest son, to become its first administrator. If he died before being able to administrate it, the entail would be inherited by Francisco Rodrigues Castanheda, his eldest brother. The future administrators were all obligated to support the celebration of 42 annual masses for the institutor's souls in the chapel of Jesus of the church of S. Julião of that city. They declared that their bodies had to be buried in that chapel.

Entail foundation deed by which Vasco Fernandes César and his wife, Inês Gonçalves Batavias, establish and entail with their third parts. They designate their eldest son, Luís César, as first administrator, and his descendants afterwards. They establish an obligation of two weekly masses and other annual masses in the chapel of Cinco Chagas de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo of the monastery of Santíssima Trindade, where they wish to be buried, to which they entail their houses in Lisboa. All the administrators of the entail must also succeed on the administration of the chapel established by Catarina Vaz, wife of Paio Lourenço, in the church of São Nicolau of Santarém, which they currently administered.

Entail foundation deed by which Diogo Salema, fidalgo da Casa do Rei e do seu Conselho, and his wife, D. Maria Salema, entail their third parts, consisting of public debt instruments in the Casa da Portagem, the Câmara de Lisboa and in the tábua de Setúbal, the estate of Pinheiro, in Montemor-o-Novo, and the estate of Monte da Vinha, in Alcácer do Sal. They bequeath it to their minor son, Cristóvão Salema, and to his descendants. The administrators of the entail will have to pay the obligations of the chapel they ordered in the church of Nossa Senhora da Graça of Setúbal.

Entail foundation deed by which António de Melo and his wife Inês Leitão established an entail, appointing their son Nuno de Melo be its first administrator. He has due to order the celebration of masses in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Purificação de Bucelas and in the Ermida of São Nicolau, located in their farm in Bucelas. This entail is composed of a farm in Bucelas, with its houses, orchards, olive groves, vineyards and lands. The institutors also confirmed the fulfilment of Manuel Freire's chapel obligations and appointed their son to be its successor after their death.

Entail foundation deed by which Nicolau Rodrigues de Sequeira established an entail, donating his proprieties to his nephew Domingos de Sousa Santiago Ferraz and to his wife D. Teresa Francisca de Vilhena. The institutor designated both to be its first administrators and established that they were due to order the celebration of masses for his soul. This entail should be succeeded by their heirs and they were also obligated to incorporate two parts of their third. The institutor's nephew and his wife accepted this donation and conditions. This entail is composed of houses and vineyards located in Barreiro, and a farm on the outskirts of Lisboa.

Entail foundation deed by which Cosme Gonçalves Carnide, cavaleiro fidalgo, and his wife Beatriz Preto established an entail, designating their daughter Maria Carvalho to be its first administrator. After her death, it should succeed her eldest son, and the successors of this entail should to get married following their parents will. The successors were due to order the celebration of masses wherever they wanted and were also obligated to incorporate their third into the entail. Its properties are composed of houses located in Lisboa, a farm of Nossa Senhora da Luz near Alfornelos, and a "casal" in Oeiras.

Entail foundation deed by which Bento de Baena Sanches established an entail, designating his son Francisco to be its first administrator. This entail has the obligation to celebrate masses, using the rents of somes houses located in Lisboa; a public debt instrument of 135 000 réis in Senado and another of 40 000 réis in Casa das Carnes; and other rents from a farm called "Massaroca", located in Sacavém. The successors are obligated to incorporate their legítima into this entail. After the death of his son, it should succeed his daughter Luísa, and after her death the eldest son of his brother João Sanches de Baena. He had a natural son called Pedro, friar of the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, and established to the administrator the obligation to give him some rents from this entail.

António Mergulhão Freire was present and accepted the entail donation and promised to fulfil the pious obligations ordered by the institutor in the main church of Benavente. D. Helena da Costa reserved the usufruct of the donated assets and other properties in her lifetime.

Francisca de Távora, his wife, of their farm of Alcube, in the outskirts of Sesimbra and Palmela, appointing Gaspar de Sousa, their eldest son, as their succeesor and first administrator. Gaspar de Sousa was present and accepted the entail donation and promised to fulfil all the conditions.

Luísa de Almeida, his wife, with the remaining of their available portions, entailing it to the entail founded by Guiomar de Sequeira, D. Luísa's mother, in her will, dated from 1568, and mentioning the previous entail foundation and annexation deed, dated from 1596-03-31. They also declare that Francisco Botelho, uncle of D. Luísa, bequeathed, in his codicil, 2000 cruzados to this entail, with the pious obligation of ten prayed masses and five sung masses in Nossa Senhora de Triana, in the town of Alenquer. The institutors describe all the entail foundation clauses and mention that the entail founded by Guiomar de Sequeira included her available portion, a part of the available portion of Simão Ferreira, her husband, and the reserved portions of Ana da Madre de Deus, their daughter and sister of D. Luísa de Almeida. They also request to the king the confirmation of this entail foundation deed.

Luísa de Almeida. They also request to the king the confirmation of this entail foundation deed.

Entail and chapel foundation deed and contract by Maria de Carvalho appointing her husband Manuel Rodrigues Ricardo for its administration. If he has already died at the time of Maria de Carvalho's death, the entail shall be bequeathed to their eldest son, João Carvalho Sequeira, and his descendants. If João has also died, it shall be bequeathed to Francisco Carvalho, their next son, or to António Carvalho.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by Reverendo doutor Dionísio de Figueiredo de Gouveia, deão of cathedral of Viseu, with masses in the church of Mouronho. His brothers, licenciado Manuel da Fonseca de Gouveia, António da Fonseca de Gouveia and Baltasar da Fonseca de Gouveia, also entail some properties concerning their parents' reserved portion. Dionísio de Figueiredo de Gouveia appoints as first administrator, after his and his brother's death, one of the sons of Baltasar da Fonseca de Gouveia.

Entail and chapel foundation deed deed by António das Póvoas e Brito, D. Isabel de Sousa, his wife, and Doutor Manuel de Sousa Oliva, his brother-in-law and her brother, in Guarda, with the pious obligation of twelve annual masses in the cathedral of Guarda. Doutor Manuel de Sousa Oliva annexes his houses to this entail and, if he dies without write a will, all his assets. They appoint as first administrator, after the death of António das Póvoas e Brito and D. Isabel de Sousa, their eldest male son.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by priest Fernando Rodrigues de Carvalho, under the invocation of Santo António of Arguedeira, in the parish of São Pedro de Tarouca. The institutor entails assets to the chapel, which he had already ordered built and where he wants to be buried, for their maintenance and fulfillment of charges. He appoints priests Domingos da Silva and Ambrósio de Carvalho, as first chaplains and Lucrécia Lopes de Carvalho, daughter of Baltazar Rodrigues, his cousin, as first administrator. Licenciado Domingos de Carvalho, canon of the cathedral of Lamego, uncle of Lucrécia Lopes de Carvalho, undertakes to attach to the entail all the property inherited from his parents.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by Pantaleão Ferreira, fidalgo da casa do rei and knight of the Order of Christ. Pantaleão appoints his son João Martins Ferreira as the first administrator, who will also possess the entail established by Pantaleão's father, João Martins Ferreira, with a chapel in the monastery of S. Domingos, in Porto. The founder spituales that the successor to the entail should be primarily the first-born son, forced to use his family name in public and private documents.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by which Manuel Soares de Vilas Boas e Vilhegas, fidalgo da Casa do Rei, widower of D. Guiomar Nunes Angel, establishes an entail, according to a previous will he had made with his wife. He entails both their third parts, consisting of houses in Lisboa and properties in Beja, and establishes a daily mass in the church of Madre de Deus de Xabregas, Lisboa, where he wishes to be buried. He appoints their eldest son, Jerónimo Soares de Vilhegas, as first administrator. Jerónimo Soares de Vilhegas and his wife, D. Madalena de Távora, are both present and accept to annex their third parts to the entail. Manuel Soares Vilas Boas, minor, grandson of the institutors and son of Jerónimo Soares de Vilhegas and his previous wife, D. Arcângela de Noronha, is also present, and promises to annex his legitime to the entail, as future administrator.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by André Ribeiro Beltrão and Maria Osório de Almeida, his wife. They entail a third of their assets, in an amount greater than 12 000 cruzados, to fulfill the charges, celebrated in the chapel they would have built in Cassurrães. They appoint Miguel Osório Beltrão de Almeida, his eldest son, administrator. In case of extinction of the lineage, the administration of the link would be the responsibility of Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Aguiar da Beira. The founders were administrators of the entail instituted by António de Almeida, his grandfather, to which they entailed a property, in order to fulfill their institution. They also order that the same register in the respective tombo.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by Brás Rodrigues Pita and Isabel Mendes Dantas, his wife, in Caminha, ordering the celebration of masses in the monastery of Santa Clara of Caminha and appointing the last one of them to die as the first administrator and, after his or her death, his legitimate daughter, Inês Vaz Pita. This deed should value as a will or codicil.
Deed approved in 1608-08-05.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by Gonçalo Eanes de Pamplona, citizen of Porto. The monastery of S. Francisco do Porto granted Gonçalo the possession of a chapel in the church of the said monastery, dedicated to S. António, in which Gonçalo had the right to bury himself and his descendants. Gonçalo Eanes de Pamplona accepted the chapel and decided to establish an entail for the service of God and for the salvation of his soul and that of his deceased wife, Leonor Gomes de Miranda. To this end, he entailed urban and rural properties in Porto and in the "termo" of this city and of Barcelos. The estates were united in the "Morgado" and its administrator had to pay annually the fees for the perpetual masses to be celebrated in the chapel of S. António, as well as 2,000 reis to be spent on the chapel's "fábrica". The founder would be the first administrator, and he would later choose one of his children as his successor. If he failed to appoint the next administrator, the succession would pass to the first-born son or, alternatively, the first-born daughter.

Followed by the letter of possession of the chapel (1533-07-30, fl. 141).

Entail and chapel foundation deed by Mateus Forjaz Ferreira and his wife Isabel de Azevedo. The couple declared that they had previously founded a chapel in the church of Provesende, dedicated to Nossa Senhora. As they did not have any other heirs besides their daughter, Isabel Forjaz, the couple decided to entail estates in a "morgado", associated with the chapel, using assets in Provesende. Their daughter would be succeeded by her firstborn son. Clerics and illegitimate children were excluded from administration.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by Pedro Machado and his wife Isabel Francisca. The couple decided to entail properties "em capela e morgado". They were both to own the properties during their lifetimes. After their death, the entail was to be held by their son, Francisco Machado. The entail was linked to the obligation to celebrate perpetual masses in different places, such as the burial place of the institutors, which was yet to be decided, and the chapel of São Pedro, in Braga Cathedral. Succession to the entail was to be by appointment, as the founders argued that this mechanism would make children more obedient to their parents. If Francisco Machado or another administrator failed to appoint a successor, the entail was to go to the first-born son. Illegitimate children and those who had committed lese-majeste crimes were excluded from the administration.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by Álvaro Vaz Mogueimas, in farmstead (quinta) of S. Bento, in S. Mamede de Arca, in Ponte de Lima, with his available portion and his wife's, D. Catarina de Couros Carneiro, available portion, wich she bequeathed to him in her nuncupative will to unite to his to found an entail and chapel. The institutor appoints as first successor his eldest son, António de Couros Carneiro. If he does not built the chapel, dedicated to Nossa Senhora do Monte da Piedade, during his lifetime his son should do it, leaving him the imagem of Nossa Senhora.

Entail and chapel foundation deed by Cristina Fagundes, with the obligation of 7 annual masses. As administrator, Cristina appointed Maria, whom she received and educated at her home.

Dowry deed by which Guiomar Vaz do Peral, Pedro Godinho's widow, donates her third part, composed of her properties in Elvas, as an entail to Cristóvão Godinho, her son, with an obligation of masses in the convent of S. Domingos of that city, where she wishes to be buried.

Dowry deed by which João Afonso de Beja, Vedor da Casa do Infante D. Luís, and his wife, Lucrécia Forjaz, donate 3 000 cruzados de ouro to her daughter, Luísa Forjaz, enabling her marriage with Pedro Vaz, Doutor Pedro Vaz's son. With the purpose of endowing the groom, Grimaneza Forjaz, Doutor Pedro Vaz's wife, establishes an entail with part of her assets, instituting the obligation of celebrating 12 annual masses in the chapel she had founded in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. After her death, it should be administered by her husband and subsequently inherited by her stepson. Grimaneza declares that, except for Pedro, she has no living heirs.

Dowry deed of wedding made by Pedro Vaz Pereira to Jerónimo Rodrigues and Maria Pereira, daughter of Manuel Pereira, donor's niece, including some houses, located in Rua das Pedras, in Vila Viçosa, and several rural properties, on the outskirts of that village. The donor reserves the usufruct of the assets, during his life, and establishes the fulfillment of charges, after his death. After the death of one, they were to be left to the other, and after the death of the second, to his eldest male son.

Dowry deed and donation of a farm, located on the outskirts of Évora, made by Cid António Salvago to Baltasar Mendes dos Reis, with certain charges and obligations, in the form of an entail.

Dowry deed by Isabel Gomes, widow of António Álvares Estaço, to her daughter, Jerónima Madeira, on the ocasion of her marriage to Simão de Seixas, son of Simão de Seixas and Madalena Fernandes. Part of the dowry is made up of a public debt instrument, which she entails with an obligation of masses in the convent of S. Francisco de Xabregas, Lisboa, to be administered by Jerónima Madeira and her husband, and by the successors of her marriage.
Contains a will chart (extract) of António Álvares Estaço and the respective approval deed, dated 1560-03-29; and a grace warrant issued to Simão de Seixas, escrivão of the Alfândega of Lisbon, allowing him to leave the office to one of the sons, dated 1559-07-01.

Dowry deed by which João de Meira Carrilho, canon of Braga Cathedral and commissioner of the Inquisition, son of Gonçalo de Meira and Beatriz Mendes, decided to endow his great-niece Isabel de Meira Carrilho, daughter of Gonçalo Carrilho and Ana da Costa, by her marriage to Estêvão Falcão, fidalgo da casa do rei and son of Manuel Falcão Costa and Ana Maria Teixeira. João de Meira Carrilho left a farmstead in São Miguel do Couto, along with 10,000 cruzados to be used for the purchase of a house and land, declaring that all this property would be entailed. The couple would be the first owners, followed by their descendants, with preference given to first-born sons. The administrators were obliged to use the family name of Meira and to pay for the celebration of 50 annual masses in the Church of Espírito Santo, located in the São Marcos Hospital in Braga, where João de Meira Carrilho would be buried. João de Meira Carrilho also declares that he was the administrator of an entail, located in Castelo de Vide, which had been founded by his father João de Meira, chaplain to the late Infante and Cardinal D. Henrique, and to which he appointed his niece as administrator, since she was of "his blood and generation". João de Meira Carrilho acquired more lands and imposed more masses to be celebrated. He also instructed his heirs to place an image of Christ in the chapel of the mother church of Castelo de Vide. The image was engraved with the relics of several saints. It had belonged to the Emperor Charles V and was given to Manuel Álvares Cardoso when he was secretary to the Marquis of Arronches in Madrid, who bequeathed it to João de Meira Carrilho. In view of its importance, the image and the relics engraved in it were considered to be the head of the entail.

Dowry deed through which Estêvão de Cerveira Borges and his wife Bárbara Machado endowed their son Francisco Carvalhal with several properties in Terceira island and founded an entail, naming him first administrator, with the contidition that he would marry a women at his choice, but, in facie ecclesie. He would always be succeeded, preferably, by the eldest male heir, and if he died without children, the administration should be transmitted to his brother Cristõvão Borges da Silveira or Estêvão Borges da Silveira. If none of them had children of their own, then the closest relative should have the entail. All administrators that succeed on the entail were obliged to annex their own reserved portions. The entail could not be administrated by clergyman nor anyone who marries people of jewish descendancy. Finally, they also appointed Francisco Carvalhal as administrator of the entails founded by his grandmother Maria Borges Albarca, his aunt Isabel do Carvalhal, his grandfather, João Dias de Carvalhal, his great-grandfather Francisco Dias de Carvalhal, his great-grandmother, Catarina Neta, and his aunt Dorotéa Nunes.

Dowry deed concerning the marriage between Bento Ferreira de Andrade and Margarida de Miranda, through which Bento’s parents founded an entail to the new couple, granting him permission to appoint the next successor.

Dowry deed by which Rodrigo Afonso, carpinteiro de tenda, and his wife, Maria Lopes, make a donation to José Rodrigues and Baltasar Rodrigues, sons of Rodrigo Afonso's first marriage to Violante Rodrigues, on the occasion of their marriages to Inês and Maria Borges, daughters of Vicente Borges and Guiomar Gil. They donate to José Rodrigues their houses in Rua do Álamo, Lisboa, and other properties belonging to Maria Lopes, to be entailed with an obligation of one weekly mass and one annual mass for their souls. If José Rodrigues dies without descendants, the entail shall pass to his brother, Baltasar, and his descendants. If they both die without descendants, the entail shall pass to their wives, first Inês, then Maria Borges.

Dowry deed by which Catarina de Sá, her brother Luís Pereira de Sá and his wife D. Catarina, wanted to give a dowry to their nephew and son José de Sousa Pereira to marry with D. Isabel de Távora Coutinho, daughter of Pedro Lopes de Quadros and his wife D. Maria Francisca Teles. The donators wanted to incorporate their thirds into the entail founded by Catarina de Sá, which would include some lands, "casais" and olive groves near to the fam of Chafariz das Pipas. It should succeed in the entail the eldest son of his nephew José de Sousa Pereira. The institutor's brother also endowed his son with a farm located in the place of "Meca" and other "prazos" in Lisboa and Guarda. The successors were obligated to order the celebration of masses in the chapel of São Francisco Xavier, in the Church of São Pedro de Alenquer, and were also obligated to deliver the masses certificates to the Misericórdia of Alenquer. D. Luísa Antónia de Távora endowed the bride with a farm located on the outskirts of Lisboa, and 60 000 réis of a "tença" she possessed in Alfândega de Lisboa. Preceded by a power of attorney of D. Luísa Antónia de Sousa dated 1673-05-24.

Dowry deed by which João Soares do Amaral and his wife Sebastiana de Moura donated to their daughter Dona Ana do Amaral all their assets located in Lisboa, Lousã, Rabaçal, Penela do Couto and Monte da Fonte in order to marry to Luís de Valadares Carneiro. The institutors also wanted to incorporate their thirds into the chapel of São José, in the Monastery of Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Coimbra, designating their future eldest grandson to be its first administrator. He was due to order the celebration of masses, using the rents of some houses located in Coimbra. Finally, the institutors' established that the chapel's administrator should give to Inês Monteiro de Moura, nun of the Monastery of Semide, 10 000 réis de tença. If the grooms did not live in the institutor's house, they should receive 100 000 réis each year.

Dowry deed by which João de Valadares Carneiro and his wife Catarina Pereira donated their assets to their son Luís de Valadares in order to get married with Ana do Amaral. They established an entail using their thirds, with the obligation to celebrate masses in the Misericórdia do Porto and Church of S. Bento, S. Geraldo and Chagas. This entail should be succeeded by his eldest son and the future successors should also incorporate half of their thirds into this entail. The institutor's son was donated with the farm of Veiga de Poucos and the "prazo" of São João da Foz. If the grooms did not live in the institutors' house, they should receive the rents of a public debt instrument of 100 000 réis in Imposição dos Vinhos, 12 000 réis in the houses of "Abelheiro" belonging to the chapel of Maria Carneiro, the prazo of "Meixeira" and Quebrantões, a "herdade" on the outskirts of Barcelos and a vineyard located in Mosteiro.

Dowry deed by which Brás Teixeira de Távora established an entail, appointing his niece Maria de Oliveira de Faria to be its first administrator. She was due to order the celebration of masses in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Lisboa. This entail is composed of houses, land, vineyards and an olive grove in Lisboa and its outskirts.

Dowry deed by which D. Pedro de Meneses, Conde de Vila Real, promised to give 20 000 dobras mouriscas to his daughter, D. Beatriz de Meneses, and D. Fernando de Noronha, her groom, to enable their marriage. Since he had already given 5 000 dobras to D. Fernando, he committed himself to deliver the remaining part in the following years. A considerable portion of the dowry should be paid with lands located in Portugal, which would be incorporated in an entail. After the death of D. Beatriz de Meneses, it would be administrated by her eldest legitimate son and transmitted to his descendants.
As a guaranty that he would fulfil that promise, D. Pedro de Meneses gave the possession of the following properties to the couple: a farmstead in the Julgado de Palhais ("quinta do Chão de Couce"); all the rents and rights attached to the Julgado de Avelar; a property in Rapoula; lands in the Julgados de Aguda, Maçãs e Pousa Foles; assets in Torres Novas; the village of Alcoentre; a farmstead in Vila Franca ("quinta das Lameiras"); two farmsteads in Lisboa ("quinta da Charneca"; "quinta da Palma") and another in Cabeça de Alporche ("quinta de Alcouvar").
D. Fernando de Noronha gave 4 000 dobras mouriscas as a dower to his future wife.

Dowry deed in which Francisco Nunes Velho, priest, endowed António Pacheco de Oliveira on the occasion of his marriage with Ana de Resende, daughter of Nuno Curvelo and Catarina Fernandes, and founded an entail with a perpetual obligation of one mass celebrated every week, two masses in S. Francisco's day and another in Onze Mil Virgens' day. He named António Pacheco and Ana de Resende as first administrators, and after the death of both of them the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. If they had no children, the entail should be administrated by his nephew Francisco Nunes de Melo with the same conditions, or the person that he, doner, appoints on his will.

Dowry deed of Fernando de Abreu and Isabel Gonçalves, his wife, to marry Maior de Abreu, their daughter, to Fernando da Silva, entailing their assets and leaving them to Mor de Abreu and her descendants.

Dowry deed and institution of chapel made by Cristóvão Barradas de Farelães in favor of Agostinho de Matos Leitão, his brother, to marry Maria de Sousa de Vasconcelos, his niece. The dowry is made in the form of a chapel, with the assets entailed to the fulfillment of charges, celebrated in the church of Farelães.

Dowry deed by Manuel Martins Brandão to his niece, D. Antónia Brandão, to marry to Inácio Bettencourt e Câmara, giving them 30.000 cruzados and, after his death, all his assets as an entail of perpetual succession. After the couple's death, their eldest male son will succeed in this entail. He also orders the celebration of a chanted mass in the chapel of the church of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Funchal. Manuel Martins Brandão declares that D. Antónia Brandão will administrate too the assets, located in Campanário, belonging to the chapel founded by Domingos Fernandes. Inácio de Bettencourt e Câmara accepted this dowry and he and D. Antónia Brandão committed themselves to fulfil all its clauses, conditions and obligations.

Dowry deed by which Manuel Peres and his wife Maria Ribeiro endowed the institutor's legitimate son Paulo Ambrósio to marry his cousin Maria Caldeira, daughter of Heitor Caldeira and Luísa Correia, brother and sister-in-law of Manuel Peres. The dowry valued 4 000 cruzados and the assets should be entailed to a chapel located in Évora. Maria Ribeiro endowed the bride and groom with all the assets she possessed at the time of her death, which should be entailed to a chapel and annexed to the other assets. She also ordered that her gold, silver and other movable possessions should be sold and that should be entailed immovable goods. The charges would also be determined in her will.

Dowry deed made by Catarina Velez in which she endowed Francisco Cáceres, her son-in-law, with an estate named Quinta do Açor, with the condition that his daughter and her granddaughter Violante de Abreu would marry a person of clean blood who could not belong to the Ramos family. She also founded an entail to be administrated by Violante and her eldest male heirs after her, with a perpetual mass obligation of three masses celebrated every year. She also appointed administrators for four chapels she administrated. For the chapel of Santana, she named her granddaughter Catarina. She named her grandchildren Maria, Manuel and João to the administration of the other three chapels.

Dowry deed between Maria Figueira de Gouveia and D. António da Silva and D. Ana Maria de Vilhegas, his wife, represented by licenciado Francisco de Figueiredo Cabral, their attorney-in-fact, to marry D. Isabel Queimada de Vilalobos, daughter of Maria Figueira de Gouveia, to D. Manuel da Silva Vilhegas, son of D. António da Silva and D. Ana Maria de Vilhegas, giving them their real estate and founding an entail. After the death of D. Isabel Queimada de Vilalobos and D. Manuel da Silva Vilhegas will succeed in this entail their eldest male son. D. Isabel Queimada de Vilalobos and Francisco de Figueiredo Cabral, on behalf of D. Manuel da Silva Vilhegas, accepted this dowry and entail.

Dowry deed by which Ana de Freitas da Silva, widow of capitão Baltasar Alves Pereira, entails the third part of her and her husband's properties, consisting of a farmstead in Loures, to a chapel of eight annual masses for both their souls in the church of Santo Adrião da Póvoa, as they had previously established, and was written in her husband's will. She donates this farmstead to her daughter, Guiomar de Freitas, and to her nephew, António Pinto de Freitas, son of Baltasar Luís Cardoso and Cecília Pinto de Freitas, deceased, on the occasion of their wedding. The chapel shall be inherited by their children. They are both present and accept this donation.

Dowry deed by which D. Luísa Inês de Távora, former lady of the queen, daughter of D. Inês Antónia de Távora and of João de Saldanha de Sousa, makes an agreement with her fiancé, Aires de Saldanha de Meneses e Sousa, do Conselho do Rei, to establish an entail with the dowry they have just agreed on. The entail shall be headed by the noble houses they have near the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus of Lisboa and shall be inherited by the eldest son of this marriage. If they have no descendants the entail shall be dissolved. If their descendants' line is extinguished, the entail shall pass to the Misericórdia of Lisboa with an obligation of two daily masses for the institutors' souls.

Dowry deed in which Diogo Vaz Carreiro and his wife Beatriz Rodrigues endowed their nephews António Farias and Beatriz Rodrigues, on the occasion of their marriage, and founded an entail with a perpetual obligation of two masses celebrated in every week on the monastery of Santo André, in Ponta Delgada, appointing the endowed couple to administrate it. António Farias and Beatriz Rodrigues would appoint one of their children to succeed them on the administration and from then on the entail should be administrated, preferably, by the eldest male heir. If they had no children of their own they would appoint the closest relative of Diogo Vaz Carreiro with the condition that he would marry a female relative of Beatriz Rodrigues.

Dowry deed for the marriage of Luís Borralho Godinho, son of João Domingues Borralho, to Margarida Freire da Vide, daughter of Maria Freire da Vide. Maria Freire is represented by Afonso Martins da Vide, her son. The dowry assets include a third of the assets of João Domingues Borralho and Inês Alcoforado, his now deceased wife, given in the form of an entail. The bride and groom would be the first administrators, and after their deaths, they would be left to their eldest son.

Dowry deed between D. Miguel da Silva and D. Isabel de Abreu, his wife, and Duarte Mendes and Guiomar Nunes, his wife, to marry their offspring, D. Fernando da Silva and D. Beatriz, respectively. Duarte Mendes and Guiomar Nunes give to their daughter, as part of her dowry, a public debt instrument of 500.000 réis, founding with it an entail. In turn, D. Miguel da Silva and D. Isabel de Abreu give to their son, as part of his dowry, their entails, namely the entail of Arcas, in the outskirts of Elvas; the unnamed entail in the center of a litigation, in the outskirts of Elvas; and the entail of Leme, in the town of Lisbon.

Dowry deed and donation by which Rodrigo Rebelo institutes a chapel, of the invocation of Jesus, in the church of Santa Maria do Castelo, in Castelo Branco, entailing assets to fulfill charges. He appoints Rodrigo Rebelo, his son, first administrator, with his eldest grandson to succeed him.

Dowry deed that priest Baltasar Rodrigues Cortês, in his name and that of Fernando Mendes de Souto, his brother, absent from the Kingdom, made to D. Sebastiana Mendes de Moura, their sister, for her marriage to Martinho Afonso da Silva. The dowry includes assets inherited from their parents, namely houses, located in Estremoz, and several rural properties, valued at more than 3.000 cruzados. Donors reserve the usufruct of the proceeds during their lives, the donation being made in the form of chapel and entail.

Dowry deed by D. Fernando Coutinho, bishop of Algarve, to marry Rui Pereira, son of João da Silva, regedor das justiças do reino, to D. Isabel Coutinho da Silva, daughter of D. Fernando, giving them all his assets as an entail, with the pious obligation of a perpetual annual mass. The institutor defines some accumulation clauses regarding this entail and the entail of João da Silva. Only Rui Pereira, if he inherits his father's entail, and his male son can succeed in both entails. After them, these entails should be separated.

Dowry deed by which D. Antónia de Siqueira, widow of António Gonçalves de Sequeira, endowed her nephew Francisco de Siqueira Pestana and her niece Maria de Siqueira on the occasion of their marriage with all of her assets, including properties in Arronches, which would henceforth be entailed with a perpetual pious obligation of 70 masses celebrated every year. She appointed the future couple to become the first administrators of that entail. After their deaths, they would be succeeded by their eldest son. If they left no descendants, the administration would be handled to Leonor de Siqueira, niece of the institutor with the same conditions, or to Gonçalo, her nephew. The institutor disposed that all administrators would be obliged to give two alqueires of bread to the Misericórdia of Arronches for charity and distribution among the poor people, being institution obligated to issue a written acquittance to prove they had done so.

Dowry deed by which Luís de Lencastre, 1º comendador-mor, founded an entail to his eldest son Luís de Lencastre, in order to marry with D. Filipa de Meneses, daughter of Diogo da Silveira, Conde de Sortelha and guarda-mor do rei. The institutor obligated himself to buy 400 000 réis of a public debt instrument or immovable goods, and separate one conto de réis from its rents for the entail. His son D. Luís de Lencastre obligated himself to incorporate a public debt instrument of 600 000 réis into this entail after his father's death, and to use his "legítimas" and the couple's third. The institutor also incorporated into this entail his rents from the "comendas" of Estremoz, Fronteira and Landroal. The successor's heirs should give the "arras" to D. Filipa de Meneses. Preceded by an alvará dated 1573-06-10.

Dowry deed by which Damião de Aguiar, chanceler-mor do Reino, and his wife, D. Francisca de Mendonça de Vasconcelos, establish the dowry of their daughter, D. Antónia de Aguiar e Vasconcelos, on the occasion of her marriage to Tristão da Cunha de Melo, Simão da Cunha de Ataíde's eldest son and heir of his entails. They bequeath her the patronage of the convent of Santo António of Nossa Senhora da Merceana, and donate her the entails of Vidigueiras and Fragosas, which D. Francisca recently inherited, to pass to the children of this marriage. They also donate them other properties and commendations, and express their wish to establish an entail with their third parts, headed by their houses in Rua da Anunciada, of which they plan to make an institution, and which shall be annexed to the entail of Vidigueiras.

Dowry deed by which António Luís de Lisboa and his wife Andresa Nunes endowed their daughter Jerónima da Cruz to marry António Raposo do Prado. António Luís donated to his daughter his third in order to establish an entail, designating her to be its first administrator. It should succeed in this entail the eldest daughter of her daughter Jerónima, or an eldest son in her absence. The administrator was due to order the celebration of masses for his soul wherever she wanted, and the successors were obligated to incorporate their thirds into this entail.

Dowry deed for the marriage of Vicente Gomes Ribeiro with D. Mécia Coutinho, given by António Gomes and Guiomar Ribeiro, his wife, through Martinho Vaz Vilas Boas, their attorney. The dowry is given in the form of an entail, consisting of several properties in Évora. If the couple dies without descendants, the entail shall pass to D. Violante Ribeiro, Vicente's sister.

Dowry deed by Geraldo Vaz de Carvalho endowed his niece Isabel de Gouveia do Vale to marry with Filipe Botelho de Aragão. The dowry consisted of all his assets composed of houses, vineyards, lands, olive groves and olive oil press located in Monsanto and its outskirts, with the obligation to celebrate masses in the Church of São Salvador de Monsanto.

Dowry deed by Francisco de Faria to his daughter D. Ana de Faria to marry to Rui Dias de Meneses, founding an entail with assets in Meca, in the outskirts of Alenquer, and in the island of S. Tomés and with masses in the church of Santa Quitéria, in Meca.

Dowry deed by which D. João de Meneses Soutomaior, conde de Cantanhede, and D. Diogo Forjaz Pereira, conde da Feira, establish the dowry of their respective daughter and son, D. Joana da Silva and D. Manuel Pereira, who were to marry each other.
D. João de Meneses gives them his assets in Olivença and his farmstead of Cucena, Almada, as an entail. The entail shall also include the legitimes which belonged to D. Joana's siblings, who authorized this donation. The entail shall always be owned by the possessor of the entail of Castelo da Feira, which belongs to the Crown, but shall not be annexed to it. D. João de Meneses Soutomaior, as attorney-in-fact of his daughter, accepted this foundation and annexed her reserved portion to this entail.
D. Diogo Forjaz Pereira, in his name and on behalf of his wife, D. Ana de Meneses, and of their son, D. Manuel Pereira, accepts this entail's foundation and promises to fullfil its clauses. He donates to the nubents their land of Pereira de Jusã, which shall also always be possessed by the owner of the entail of Castelo da Feira, but not annexed to the entail.

Dowry deed between Jorge Pessanha and D. Maria de Góis, his wife, and João Rodrigues Pessanha, widower of Joana de Mancelos and brother of Jorge Pessanha, to marry their offspring, D. Beatriz de Sousa and Ambrósio Pessanha, respectively. João Rodrigues Pessanha founded an entail with his wife and her available portions, which include half of Quinta de Cabedal and some other properties bought by him and his brother, Jorge Pessanha, giving it as a dowry to his son. He also gives to his son all his entailed assets, namely in Moreira, in the outskirts of Olivença, which belongs to the entail of Afonso de Aboim, and in Valadas, in the outskirts of Campo Maior. Jorge Pessanha and D. Maria de Góis give to their daughter, as part of her dowry, the entail that he owns in Quinta da Moreira, founded by Afonso de Aboim, and other entailed assets, listed in this deed, belonging to the entails of Ambrósio Pessanha, Fernando Rodrigues Pessanha and Teresa Eanes.

Dowry deed in which padre Manuel Fernandes Vitória ordered the foundation of an entail and simultaneously endowed Francisco de Machado Faria with several properties in Rabo do Peixe and Sete Cidades, in S. Miguel Island, donated to him on the occasion of his marriage with Mariana de Faria Vitória, his niece. He named them to be the first administrators of the entail and, preferably, their eldest male descendants after them, who would have the perpetual obligation of a daily mass in the chapel of N. Sra. da Vitória, in Relva, S. Miguel island, always celebrated by a relative. The administrators would also be obliged to support the costs of the festivities in honour of N. Sra. da Vitória during 21 years. Every administrator should bare the surname "Vitória" or, otherwise, lose the administration. No clergyman or convict on the crime of lese-majeste could inherit the administration. If the bloodline of the first administrators was ever extinguished, the entail should be transmitted and annexed to the entail founded by António Lopes de Faria.

Dowry deed made in Portalegre in which Fernando Aires Delicado endowed his son Gaspar Caldeira de Castelo Branco with an estate named Herdade d'Abreu in Portalegre's district, on the occasion of his marriage with Mariana Chamisa, who lived in Valença, kingdom of Castille, thereby ordering the foundation of an entail with a perpetual pious obligation of one mass celebrated every year as long as the world lasted. This entail would be administrated by future husband and wife and their heirs, preferably the eldest male. All administrators were obliged to use the surname Aires or otherwise lose the administration.

Dowry deed made by Frei António Rodrigues Preto for the marriage of his son António Rodrigues Preto to Josefa Maria, daughter of Domingos João. The dowry is given in the form of an entail with a perpetual pious obligation of six masses celebrated every year in the church of Redinha. After the death of the first administrators, the succession shall continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.

Dowry deed by which Inês Monteiro donates as a dowry half of her third part, consisting of houses and mills in Lisboa, to her granddaughter, Maria Monteiro, daughter of her deceased son Clemente Alves, with an obligation of three annual masses in the church of Santo Estêvão de Alfama, Lisboa. This entail shall pass to her descendants. If she dies without successors, it shall pass to one of her sisters and their descendants.

Dowry deed by which António de Mesquita donates to his niece, D. Joana, daughter of his brother frei Pedro de Mesquita, and to her husband, D. António Lobo, three estates he possesses in Campo Maior, as an entail, with an obligation of two annual masses for his brother's soul in the cathedral of Elvas, in their grandparents' chapel. If they don't have children, the entail will pass to D. Joana's brother, Álvaro de Mesquita, and will always be in Pedro de Mesquita's lineage. D. António is present and accepts the obligations, the notary accepts in D. Joana's name.

Dowry deed by which D. João de Meneses Soutomaior founded an entail and endowed his daughter D. Joana de Meneses with the assets belonging to his third and her brother's legitime. He wanted her daughter to marry D. Manuel Pereira, son of D. Diogo Pereira, senhor do Condado de Cantanhede, and his wife D. Joana de Meneses. This entail should be succeeded by her eldest son, or daughter, and was composed of assets located in Olivença and in the farm of "Carcena". The grooms' parents established that they wanted to incorporat their "Morgado da Feira" into this entail, which was composed of some lands located in Vale de Cambra. Preceded by documents dated between 1554-11-19 and 1555-12-18.

Dowry deed by which Maria de Miranda, Sebastião de Ataíde Coutinho's wife, established an entail with all her assets, appointing her niece, Úrsula de Miranda, who was going to marry Diogo de Ataíde Coutinho, to administrate it and determining that its future administrators had to support the celebration of 18 annual masses for her soul. It had to be passed to the eldest daughter of the couple.
Sebastião de Ataíde Coutinho donated all his assets to his son, Diogo de Ataíde Coutinho, thus establishing another entail and obligating its future administrators to celebrate 18 annual masses for his soul. The entail had to be transmitted to the youngest son of the couple. Thus, he establishes an entail with his farmstead in Unhos, his houses in Lisboa and rents (foros) in the outskirts of that city, obligating its future administrators to support the celebration of annual masses for the institutor's soul and the souls of his two late wives, Maria de Melgária and Guiomar Feio, in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição of the church of Santa Justa. After Simão da Cunha's death, the entail should be inherited by his eldest son.

Dowry deed by which Margarida de Lemos established an entail, donating to her niece Leonor de Lemos and her future husband, Doutor Gaspar Ferraz, two "herdades" called "Vale da Romeira" and "Barroquoreira" on the outskirts of Monsaraz, and half of a "casal" in Vila de Arruda. They were due to give to the Friars of the Monastery of Santo António, in Vila da Castanheira, some wine and oil, and 12 000 réis to Leonor's sister. It should succeed in this entail her niece's children and, if she died childless, this entail should be succeed by her closest kin. The grooms accepted the conditions and Gaspar Ferraz also gave to his future bride 500 000 réis in "arras".

Dowry deed by which Margarida da Esperança endowed Maria Freire to get married to Bernardo Toscano de Vasconcelos, with the obligation to order the celebration of masses in the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, where her husband Francisco Toscano was buried. It should succeed in this entail the eldest son, or daughter, or the closest kin of her deceased husband in their absence. The grooms accepted the conditions of this dowry deed.

Donation deed to Vasco Martins da Cunha and his wife of the places of Figueiredo and Assequins as an entail, establishing some succession clauses.

Donation deed from D. Manuel, king of Ternate, of the Amboino and Ceirão islands, in the Moluccas archipelago, to Jordão de Freitas to own them as an entail.

Donation deed by which Maria de Sottomayor donates to her nephew João de Brito de Sottomayor a farm called "Vale de Freiras", in the outskirts of Lisboa, with its orchards, olive groves, vineyards, houses and olive oil press. He is appointed to be its first administrator and obligated to order the celebration of masses in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Lisboa.

Donation deed made by Maria Dias in which she donated a share of an estate named Herdade dos Fartos to her grandson José, son of Manuel de Moura Estaço and Vicência de Melo e Lacerda, annexing that property to the entail of São Miguel, which José would administrate. She also established an entail with a perpetual obligation of three masses celebrated every year, composed of a property in Severete, Alegrete, which would be administrated by her grandson Francisco during his lifetime and passed, after his death, to his eldest son.

Donation deed by Pedro Eanes Campelo to Lourenço Campelo for his marriage with Filipa Guimarães. With this donation, Pedro Eanes Campelo established an entail that was to remain in the possession of Lourenço and his descendants, to be transmitted through the first-born sons, excluding clerics, illegitimate children and people who had committed lese-majeste crimes. The head of the entail was to be the estate of Barca, in São Romão da Ucha, Prado. A perpetual obligation was imposed to celebrate 10 annual masses in the church where Pedro Eanes Cameplo decided to be buried.

She entails her houses in Lisboa with an obligation of a daily mass in her burial place, which will either be in the church of Nossa Senhora da Penha de França or in the convent of S. Francisco de Xabregas. She also appoints her stepdaughter as administrator of the chapel established by her brother, António Correia, in the church of Nossa Senhora da Penha de França.
