Will (extract) of Beatriz Pereira, instituting an entail and appointing her nephew Francisco de Azevedo as administrator, and his son Rui Gomes de Azevedo after his death. The entail was composed of the estates of Guadiana, Zambujeiro, Murtais, the orchard of Paraíso and houses in Elvas.

Will (extract) of Francisco Coelho and Isabel Eanes, instituting an entail with pious deeds in the monastery of Travanca, and appointing Sebastião de Babo and his relatives as successors, since their own son, Gonçalo Coelho, had disappeared in Brasil.

Will (extract) of father Domingos Jorge, founding an entail with pious deeds in the chapel of São Pedro Mártir, in Braga cathedral, and appointing his niece Juliana as successor, establishing as a rule that all the administrators of the entail should be women so the estates may help them to negotiate a proper marriage.

Will (extract) of Francisco Eanes and Catarina Eanes, founding a chapel with an annual mass in the church of São Paio de Midões, appointing as heir their daughter Antónia and her future husband and offspring. The entail should serve to support the chapel and the new couple.

Extract of Abade Baltasar Mendes' will, founding a chapel in the hermitage of Espírito Santo, to which he entailed cereal rents and the casal of Quintã, in São Cristóvão of Lordelo, and appointing his nephew Pedro Mendes and his offspring as administrator.

Will (extract) of father Miguel da Fonseca, by which he declared that he wished to institute a chapel in the hermitage of Santa Ana, with the perpetual obligation of a daily mass. The testator left "um conto de réis" to be entailed. He appointed his niece Ângela da Fonseca, married to Gabriel de Araújo de Vasconcelos, as the first administrator, followed by her descendants, with the right to appoint one of her children as her successor. If she failed to do so, preference would be given to first-born sons. If they had no descendants, the entail would go to another of the founder's nieces, Mariana da Fonseca, or finally to his natural daughter, Marta da Fonseca. The administrators were obliged to use the family name and had to report to the Juízo dos Resíduos every three years on the correct celebration of the prescribed masses.

Will (extract) by which Gaspar Malheiro establishes an entail with his third part, and appoints his son, Francisco Malheiro, as administrator. This entail shall always be joined to the one established by his wife, D. Ana Maria Ferreira, and have the same conditions of succession and pious obligations as hers.

Will (extract) by which Maria Forjaz, Rui Mendes de Brito's wife, bequeaths the third part of her assets, including lands (herdade) in the outskirts of Évora Monte, to her mother, Grimaneza Forjaz, with the obligation of celebrating masses for her soul in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. After her mother's death, the entail should be inherited by the eldest son of the institutor. The testator declares that her remains and her father's bones should be buried in that church.

Will (extract) by which Mateus Gonçalves Mouzinho established an entail, designating his son Francisco Mouzinho to be its first administrator with the obligation to order the celebration of masses. If he died childless, it should succeed his brother Gaspar Mouzinho or, in his absence, the heirs of his father or mother's brothers.

Will (extract) of Beatriz Fragoa, annexing some properties and listing more pious deeds in the entail founded by her parents.

Will (extract) by which Inês Fernandes establishes a chapel in the church of Santa Justa of Lisboa, entailing houses in that city and determining that its revenues must support the celebration of annual masses in that church. She appoints her husband to be its first administrador, allowing him to choose his successor.

Will (extract) of D. Beatriz de Brito. She instituted an entail, entailing the remainder of her assets, after the legacies had been fulfilled. The entail's clauses would be the same as those expressed in the institution of the entail of Tomás Tavares, her uncle. She appoints Gonçalo Rodrigues de Sousa, her nephew, first administrator. The charges were to be celebrated in the convent of São Francisco of Portalegre.

Will (extract) of Diogo Carneiro and Beatriz de Castro, his wife. They instituted a chapel, entailing a third of their assets for the celebration of charges, upon finalising the payment of legacies. Francisco Carneiro de Brito, his son, is appointed first administrator. Beatriz de Castro administered a chapel instituted by Helena de Brito, her aunt, for which she also appoints Francisco Carneiro de Brito, her son, ordering him to annex it to the chapel she instituted with her husband.

Will (extract) by which António Dias bequeaths his casal in S. João de Sintra to his wife, Catarina Paula and establishes a chapel of six masses in the church of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. Upon her death, the administration of the chapel shall be inherited by their eldest son or daughter, and successively by their children.

Will (extract) made in Pernambuco by Cristóvão de Barros Rego in which he ordered the foundation of an entail composed of one of his sugar mills named São Bento and Nossa Senhora da Conceição, with all of its lands, cattle and slaves, and also by an urban ground in Olinda, over which he imposed the perpetual obligation of one weekly mass celebrated in every monday, as long as the world lasted, in the chapel of Nossa Senhora of Boa Vista. To administrate the entail he named his grandson Cristóvão de Barros Rego, son of Manuel da Mota Silveira and his daughter Catarina de Barros, as first administrator during his lifetime, and, after his death, the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. If Cristóvão had no heirs, the administration would be handled to his younger brothers, and if none of them had children, the entail would be administrated by the son of Simão Pereira Barbosa and Maria do Rego. If none of these alternative lines of succession produced male heirs, only then the administration would be given to the female heirs of Manuel da Mota Silveira and Catarina de Barros. The administrator would be obliged to give a wage worth 50.000 réis to the chaplain of Nossa Senhora da Boa Vista.

Will (extract) by which Aldonça de Mendonça, Lourenço de Castro's wife, bequeaths to her daughter, Maria, the third part of her assets, including properties in Torres Vedras (an "azenha") and Lourinhã, with the obligation of celebrating 10 annual masses in the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. If Maria died before her father, Lourenço de Castro, he would inherit it.

Will (extract) by which André Fernandes de Serpa establishes an entail with his assets in the island of S. Tomé. He bequeaths it to his wife, Ana Gago, daughter of Manuel Fernandes Gago and Maria Rodrigues, with the obligation of two weekly masses in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, under the condition that his wife shall marry again under a year. If this requirement is not met, the entail shall be left to the institutor's siblings.

Will (extract) by which Ana Durenha establishes an entail with her houses in Lisboa, with the obligation of three monthly masses, one divine office and a nocturne in the church of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. She bequeaths it to her niece, D. Ana Durenha, wife of Francisco de Castilho. D. Ana Durenha will have the capacity of appointing her eldest son or daughter as the entail's next administrator, and it shall thereafter be in possession of their successors. If these requirements are not met, the entail shall be givevn to the Misericórdia of Lisboa.

Will (extract) by which capitão António Pinto do Rego establishes an entail with two vineyards in Lisboa. He bequeaths it to his son, Paulo Pinto do Rego, with the obligation of 52 yearly masses in the church of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa.

Não tendo esta filhos, ficaria a outra filha e não havendo descendentes ao parente mais chegado. O administrador ficaria com o remanescente do morgado, uma vez cumpridos os legados.

Extract of Pedro Lopes' will, entailing properties in the couto de Tibães with the obligation of 36 annual masses in the church of Misericórdia, in Braga, along with his wife's will. The chaplain should be his son Miguel Lopes, and the administrator his other son Diogo Lopes and his offspring.

Will (extract) by Manuel Camacho, copied from the tombo of the chapels of the mother church of Panóias. He leaves a third of his property, consisting of land in Ouroana, with the charges that Gaspar Raposo left him, to his son.

Will (extract) of Filipa Chaínho, by which she institutes a chapel, by entailing real estate to be administrated by Manuel Varela, married to Catarina Viegas, the institutor's criada, with the power to transmit the administration to a son or daughter after their deaths. These assets had already been given or promised to them as a marriage dowry.
In addition, she bequests a vineyard to a chapel to be administrated by Fernando Moreno. If there were no descendants, this estate should be attached to the assets of the first chapel.
She establishes another chapel, by entailing various immovable properties for the fulfillment of charges, to be administrated by Antónia Moreno.

Will (extract) by which Maria Venganipe orders João Venganipe, her executor, to establish a daily mass over her tomb, entailing to it her houses, and to put up an epitaph next to it.

Will (extract) by which Maria de Almada establishes an entail with all her property. She bequeaths it to Jerónimo Correia, eldest son of Jorge Carreiro de Almada, with the obligation of 41 masses in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, where he must order the building of her chapel and tomb.

Will (extract) by which Marcos Fernandes entails his houses in Lisboa with the obligation of 20 annual masses for the souls of his uncle, Lopo Peres, and of his first wife, Luísa Pimentel. They are to be prayed in a monastery chosen by his current wife and heir, Maria Birrena.

Will (extract) by which Inês Nunes bequeaths houses in Lisboa to Beatriz Nunes, her sister and Gaspar Ferreira's wife, instituting the pious obligation of celebrating 25 annual masses for her soul in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. After Beatriz's death, the entail would be inherited by one of her legitimate sons.
The testator also establishes another entail with other houses in Lisboa, appointing Leonor de Almeida, her sister and João Vaz's wife, as its first administrator and ordering her to support the celebration of 25 annual masses in the referred church. After Leonor's death, it would be passed to her son, Duarte Vaz. Inês chooses to be buried in the mentioned church.

Francisco of Lisboa. He appoints Fernando Eanes, his relative, as administrator, with capacity of appointing the next one, who has to be male.

Will (extract) by which Simão Carvalho and his wife, Guiomar Alves, entail their casal in Asseiceira, Torres Vedras. They establish an obligation of an annual mass for their souls in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, where they wish to be buried.

Will (extract) by which Violante de Sequeira entails her vineyards in Nossa Senhora dos Olivais, with an obligation of 10 annual masses in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, where she wishes to be buried. She appoints her son, Luís da Mota Feio, as administrator of her entail.

Will (extract) made by Margarida de Campos, in which, among other dispositions, she appoints Rafael de Abreu, her husband, to administer the assets and legacies left by Gil Fernandes, her father, doubling the celebrated charges and annexing more properties. After the death of Rafael de Abreu, they were to be administered by António, their son, if he became a cleric. After the latter's death, it was to be administered by any grandson of Guiomar Pacheco, his sister, who was a cleric. If none were clerics, the administrator would be André de Vasconcelos, her nephew. In that case, on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.

Will (extract) by which D. Cristóvão de Sousa orders that the revenue of the houses in Lisboa which he inherited from his father shall be used to buy a public debt instrument to establish a chapel with the obligation of one daily mass in the chapel of the Magi, established by his father, in the convent of S. He establishes an obligation of one daily mass with a chaplain, and bequeaths his heirs money to buy a public debt instrument or properties to entail. If there is a positive sentence for him, or his daughter and heir, D. Maria, in the "Belas case", then his body shall be transfered to the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição of Idanha, where another of his daughters, D. Branca, is buried, with the same obligation of masses, and two merceeiras. If they lose the case, he will be buried in the chapel of his grandparents.

Will (extract) by which D. Helena de Almada establishes an entail with her farmstead (quinta) of Boca da Lapa, in Via Longa, instituting the pious obligation of celebrating annual masses in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. She appoints her cousin, D. Beatriz de Freitas, as the entail's first administrator, with the purpose of enabling her wedding with Jerónimo de Brito Caldeira, Helena's stepson. If their marriage left no issue, the entail should be inherited by the close relatives of Helena, from her mother's side. D. Beatriz was also obligated to support the institutor's three sisters, who were nuns in the convent of Chelas, during their lifetime. She chooses to be buried in the church of the convent of S. Domingos.

Will (extract) by which Francisco de Barros de Paiva, husband of D. Maria da Guerra, establishes an entail with the third part of his properties. He bequeaths it to his eldest son, Jorge de Barros, and to his successors thereafter, under the condition that they shall keep the family name Barros, order an annual divine office for his soul in his burial place and add the third part of their thirds to the entail. If Jorge de Barros has already died at the time of his father's death, the entail shall be inherited by his younger brother, João de Barros. If João de Barros has also already died, it shall go to their cousin, Francisco de Barros. He asks that his wife and executors add to his third part his casal in Loures, his houses in Rua Nova, Lisboa, a public debt instrument of 100 000 reis or his farmstead in quinta da Fonte da Telha, whichever is better. He also orders that his son, when he becomes an adult, add his legitime to the entail, together with the third part of his third.

Will (extract) by which doutor Gabriel de Almeida demands that the sucessor of his entail, Gabriel, his nephew, orders a daily mass with responsory and an anniversary mass for his and his parent's souls in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. He appoints his sister and brother-in-law as administrators of the entail during Gabriel's minority. He also establishes that the sucessors of his entail shall pay 30 000 reis to his sister, D. Joana de Vasconcelos, nun in the monastery of Odivelas, while she lives. If the lineage of his nephews is extinguished, the entail shall also be extinguished and the properties shall be given to the Ordem Terceira and to the Hospital of da Irmandade dos Clérigos da Caridade, with the same obligation of masses, or to the church of S. Lourenço, if the convent of S. Francisco doesn't accept it.

Will (extract) by which Gonçalo Martins establishes a chapel of 20 annual masses for his, his wife's and his descendants' souls, entailing it to a serrado near his farmstead, and bequeathing it to his heir.

Will (extract) by which Francisca Pires demands to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, next to her first husband, Gonçalo Carvalho. She establishes an obligation of half an annual of masses for her soul, according to a contract with her current husband, Manuel Veloso de Almeida, who had given her that annual after she renounced her part of her first husband's will.

Will (extract) by which Henrique Jacques establishes an entail with the third part of his revenue. He bequeaths it to his eldest son, and his descendants thereafter, who shall also annex to the entail their third parts and use the surname Jacques. He asks his wife to also annex her third part to the entail, in the quinta do Vale de Mourelos. He establishes a chapel of three annual masses in the convent or church where he shall be buried. If his descendants die before his wife, the entail shall go to her, until she marries again. If his wife has already died, it shall go to his nephew, also called Henrique Jacques, and to his descendants, with an obligation of 100 annual masses. Francisco of Lisboa, where she shall be buried. She entails to it her farm in Caparica, with the obligation of one daily mass, alms of 12 000 reis, and vespers sung in the days of Our Lady.

Will (extract) by which Leonor Gomes bequeaths her houses to Joana Fernandes, wife of her nephew, Ambrósio de Azevedo, and to their descendants thereafter, with the obligation of four sung masses in the church of the convent of S. When they die, the houses shall be annexed to Leonor Gomes's entail.

Will (extract) by which Catarina Lopes orders that, with the remains of her assets, her grandson João Fernandes should buy properties to be entailed to the chapel she established in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, with the obligation of one mass every Monday. If he doesn't uphold these conditions in the six months following her death, he will lose the administration of the entail to the closest relative after him. If João Fernandes has died by the time of Catarina's death, the entail shall be bequeathed instead to her granddaughter, Joana de Andrade, and to her successors thereafter.

Will (extract) by which Beatriz de Olmedo bequeaths her "criado", Agostinho da Costa, her properties in Sarilhos Grandes, entailed to some masses in the church of Sarilhos, with the obligation of 15 masses "in perpetuum" in the convent of S. Will (extract) by which Catarina Freire appoints her husband, João Lopes, as her universal heir. She orders him to entail part of her properties to a chapel in a monastery of his choosing, with the obligation of a daily mass. She authorizes him to sell these properties, if they are foreiras, to buy new ones to entail to the chapel. After her husband's death, these properties shall be bequeathed to her closest relative, with the exception of her brother, André Fernandes, who she has disowned.

Will (extract) by which Mamede Soares, administrator of the chapel established by his grandmother, Mécia Dias, bequeaths to his wife, D. Isabel de Macedo, houses near the armazéns do rei, in Lisboa, with the obligation of two annual masses in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. After her death, the houses shall be annexed to the chapel, with the same obligation.

Will (extract) by which Diogo Dias Lobo establishes a chapel with the obligation of one annual mass for his soul in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. He appoints his sister, Catarina Lobo da Silva, wife of Manuel da Gama, as its first administrator, and her descendants afterwards, with the condition that she shall buy properties to entail with the remains of his assets. If his sister dies without descendants, or if the obligations are not fulfilled for a year, the entail shall be bequeathed to the confraria da Santa Doutrina of S. Roque, Lisboa.

Will (extract) by which Domingos Barreiros bequeaths his houses in front of the church of Madalena, Lisboa, to his cousin (or niece), Luísa Lobo, with the obligation of a weekly mass every Monday in the convent where he shall be buried, and an annual mass in the day of his death.

Will (extract) by which Diogo Ribeiro, juiz da alfândega de Lisboa, expresses his wish to be buried in the same place as his wife, Guiomar da Silveira, near the chapel of Santo Ildefonso of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, and wearing the habit of the Franciscans. He entails the farmstead that belonged to his wife, in Vila Verde, termo de Pias, to keep a lamp lit in the high altar of the same church.

Will (extract) by which Daniel de Arnide appoints his cousin Maria Madalena de Valasco, daughter of Antão Mogo de Melo and of Ângela de Valasco, as his universal heir, with the condition that she shall order his burial in the monastery of Santo Onofre, and afterwards, his trasladation to the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, where his parents are buried. He also establishes a chapel with two daily masses for the souls of his parents, Miguel de Arnide and Camila Gomes Pais, and his brother. He bequeaths her all of his assets, which, after her death, shall be given to the Misericórdia de Lisboa, to be sold, so a public debt instrument can be bought in the Alfândega de Lisboa, to entail to the chapel.

Will (extract) by which Briolanja Anrulha, establishes an entail of five masses in the convent of S. Francisco de Lisboa, with the revenues of her houses in Lisboa, bequeathing them to her successors.

Will (extract), by which António Lopes de Murga orders his wife, Violante Correia, to acquire a papal authorization so that, for each mass prayed in the chapel of the Santas Relíquias of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, established by his uncle, Gaspar Lopes de Murga, a soul is taken from Purgatory. He also asks her to buy 1000 reais of foros to keep a lamp permanently lit in the chapel. He entails a vineyard and properties he bought to the chapel, with the obligation of six annual masses, and orders the acquisition of more properties to establish a daily mass for the souls of his relatives. He also orders his wife to establish a daily mass for his, his son and his relative's souls, in a church or convent of her choosing, with the capacity to appoint any person she wants as its administrator, after her death.

Will (extract) by which Doutor Luís Correia establishes a chapel with a daily mass and one yearly divine office in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. He entails to it rents in the value of 1 000 cruzados, to be employed in the acquisition of interest and properties for the chapel. He appoints his niece, D. Maria Mancelos, daughter of D. Isabel de Leão, as the chapel's first administrator, under the condition that she shall entail to it the properties she will inherit from her mother and grandmother. Her successors shall also annex to the entail a third of the third part of their inheritances. If D. Maria dies without descendants, the entail shall be inherited by her sister, D. Isabel. If the family line is extinguished, the obligation will be bequeathed to the Misericórdia of Coimbra.

Will (extract) by which Belchior Gomes de Elvas orders his mother, Brianda Nunes, to entail a public debt instrument of 25 000 réis, with the obligation of celebrating a daily mass in the chapel of S. Tomás, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. If his mother decides to establish a chapel in that convent, that mass should be celebrated in it.

Will (extract) by which João Ribeiro and his wife, Antónia de Lemos, express their wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, with an obligation of 14 annual masses. They appoint their son, Francisco Ribeiro, as their heir, and his descendants afterwards, and ask him to buy two properties, one in Lisboa and another in Avis, with their money, to entail to the obligation of masses.

Will (extract) by which Luís Gomes and his wife, Juliana Gomes, express their wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. They bequeath their third parts to their children, namely their daughter, Mariana, and to their successors, with the obligation of an annual nocturne with a sung mass and masses in the holidays of the Virgin. If their daughter dies without descendants, the entail shall be administered by her brothers.

Will (extract) by which Maria Arrais expresses her wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. She entails her houses in Boavista, Lisboa, with the obligation of an annual mass in that convent. She appoints her sister, Beatriz Arrais, as her heir, and disowns all her remaining family.

Will (extract) by which desembargador Manuel de Sousa Pacheco expresses his wish to be buried the church of Nossa Senhora da Purificação do lugar das Cachoeiras, if he dies in his quinta da Serrana, in Alenquer. He appoints his eldest son, Vasco de Sousa, as his universal heir, bequeathing him his third part as an entail, together with another entail he possesses, with an obligation of two weekly masses in his burial place.

Will (extract) by which Gomes Carreiro, Helena de Almada's widower, bequeaths the third part of his assets, including lands (casal) in Marvões, Sobral de Monte Agraço, to his son, Pedro Carreiro, obligating him and his successors to support the celebration of annual masses for his soul in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. The testator declares that his remains should be buried next to the chapel of Jesus of that church.

Will (extract) by which Manuel da Cunha establishes an entail with a daily mass in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, where he wishes to be buried. He appoints Manuel Nunes, cerieiro, married to his step-daughter, Antónia Ribeiro, as its administrator. He orders him to sell his third part to buy properties to entail to this obligation. He also appoints his stepdaughter as heir of the chapel established by Maria Engrácia and her husband, Diogo Vaz, which he administered.

Will (extract) by which Inês Lopes, Pedro João's widow, bequeaths lands in Alenquer to her cousin, Maria Jorge, Hilário da Paz and Bárbara Jorge's daughter, with the obligation of using part of its revenues to celebrate masses in an unidentified church. The testator indicates that her will would be confirmed by a donation deed.

Will (extract) made by Catarina Monteiro Queiroz, in which she ordered the foundation of a chapel, composed of three farms named Boaventura, Boaentrada dos Pretos and Rebelo, as well as of twenty black slaves, fifty cows, four bulls, six pairs of oxes and 800 goats, over which she imposed a perpetual pious obligation of two masses celebrated every week, being one for the salvation of her soul and another for the salvation of her husband Nicolau Rodrigues, and also one sung mass in All Saints Day with bread and wine offer. To administrate it she named André Álvares, son of capitão Jorge Araújo de Maqueimas, with the condition that he would marry, or otherwise, the administration would be transmitted to his sister Isabel Barradas. If none of them have children, the administration would be handled to the Misericórdia of Santiago.

Will (extract) made by Cecília Fernandes in which she ordered the foundation of a chapel composed of farms and twenty enslaved persons, among men and women, and a perpetual pious obligation of one sung mass and also twelve masses, one per month, all of them celebrated as long as the world lasted. To administrate it, she named her nephew Sebastião Pires de Barros during his lifetime. After the death of Sebastião, the succession should always continue on his heirs, or, if he had none, the administration would be transmitted to his brothers or sisters, and if none of them was alive, then the Misericórdia of Cabo Verde would receive the administration. The institutor disposed that if any of the enslaved persons of the chapel died, they should be immediatly replaced with new ones.

Will (extract) made by Francisco Lobo de Barros in which he bequeathed a farm named Fazenda do Eunuco and six enslaved persons to his cousin Maria de Deus, daughter of his uncle Manuel Lobo Reimão, and her descendants, thereby ordering the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of one mass celebrated in every month as long as the world lasted. The institutor also disposed that if any of the slaves entailed to this chapel died, they should be replaced, in order to maintain the original number.

Will (extract) made by Manuel Lobo Reimão in which he ordered the foundation of a chapel composed of a cotton plantation named Fazenda do Fragoso and twelve enslaved persons, over which he imposed a perpetual pious obligation of certain number of masses. He named his daughter Maria de Deus as first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest legitimate male heir. If she had none, the administration would be handled to her brother António, and if he also died without children, then his brothers Domingos or André da Veiga Reimão, in this order, would enter on the administration. If none of them had children, the chapel would be administrated by the brotherhood of Nossa Senhora do Livramento. The institutor also disposed that if any of the slaves entailed to this chapel died, they should be replaced, in order to maintain the original number, and any administrator who freed any enslaved persons would immediatly lose the administration, passing it to the next administrator in line.

Will (extract) by which Catarina Vaz, André Lopes' wife, bequeaths lands in Pevide, Arruda dos Vinhos, to her nephew, João Francisco, with the obligation of celebrating annual masses for her soul in the altar of Nossa Senhora do Rosário of the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. After her nephew's death, the entail would be inherited by Cosme Eanes, carpinteiro, and passed to his descendants. The latter was Álvaro Eanes' nephew, who had been the testator's first husband.
