Will chart of Maria de Matos Bettencourt, widow of capitão Francisco Correia Brandão, founding a chapel of prayed masses in the monastery of S. Francisco of Vila Franca do Campo and appointing Madre Catarina de Jesus, her goddaughter, and capitão-mor António Moniz Furtado, her goddaughter's father, as her executors and her estate's administrators. After their death, António de Medeiros Araújo and, after him, one of his sons appointed by him, only if he is from her husband's lineage.
Will approved in 1680-12-13 and opened in 1684-03-04.

Will chart of Diogo da Fonseca founding an entail and annexing it to the old entail that he already had founded. He appoints his son Francisco to be its administrator. He had also established a chapel in the monastery of Santa Maria da Graça, of the order of Santo Agostinho. In case of extinction of the order, it would be administered by the councilors of the Lisbon municipality, who would choose an administrator with a 10-year term.

She confirms the foundation of her entail, which she bequeaths to her minor grandson Jorge Nunes de Leão. She also appoints him in several leases she possesses and establishes how he must be raised, appointing her daughters, nuns in the convent of Santa Clara de Santarém, as his tutors.

She entails her properties and appoints António de Palma, her nephew, as administrator of her entail. Will chart of Pedro Gomes, ordering himself to be buried in the church of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Moura and entailing half of an olive grove in Vale de Pegas and half of a house in the castle, which he brought with priest Rui Pais, his nephew, to fulfill the charges, which should be celebrated by Rui Pais. He appoints his nephew as administrator of the chapel of the castle house and Leonor Pessanha, for the chapel of the olive grove. The administrator should leave the administration to a son or daughter, but if she did not have them, she should also stay with Rui Pais.
It contains an approval deed (1544-10-14) and an opening deed of a will (dated 1544-09-18).

Will chart of João de Oliveira Ferreira, ordering his grave in the church of Santa Eufémia of Penela. He entails several real estate to fulfill the charges and appoints Maria Botelho, his wife and executor, to administer it until Francisco, his son, turns 25. The administration was then to follow by the eldest son.
It also contains a codicil by João de Oliveira Ferreira (dated 1586-03-17) and the respective approval deed (dated 1586-03-30).

Will chart of Maria Fernandes, ordering her grave in the church of Santiago, next to the altar of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, where Pedro Fernandes, her husband, was. She instituted a chapel, with charges celebrated in the convent of São Pedro dos Terceiros, entailing her houses, located in Tanoarias, which she leaves to António Reimão, married to Ana Fernandes, her niece. The administrator was then to leave it to the son or daughter he chose. If he didn't choose any, would belong to the eldest son.
Contains an approval deed (dated 1598-05-13) and an opening deed of a will (dated 1598-05-15).

Will chart made by Gomes Pamplona de Miranda and his wife Branca Rodrigues Valadão in which they ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail with a perpetual mass obligation of two weekly masses celebrated in a chapel on the church of S. Roque that they were building. They named their son Simão Pamplona de Miranda as first administrator and one of his male grandsons after his death, and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. All administrators should use the surname "Pamplona" or otherwise lose the administration and they were forbiden to marry with descendants of moors and jews. The administrators were also obliged to entail their own reserved portions to the entail.

Will chart made by António Pires das Calhas in which he ordered the foundation of an entail with a perpetual obligation of one mass celebrated in every week in the church of Santa Cruz, in Vila da Praia, where his body should be buried. He named his brother Diogo Pires as first administrator and his son Simão Dias, continuing the administration on his descendants. If Simão died or had no children, the administration should be transmitted to his brother João Gregório and his descendants. If the institutor's bloodline got extinguished, the municipal council and the corregedor should appoint an administrator.

Will chart of Isabel do Amaral de Vasconcelos, ordering her grave in the chapel of the chapter of the monastery of São Francisco de Orgens, which she had built. She leaves several charges of masses, celebrated in the Cathedral of Viseu and in Tarouca. She appoints João Pais do Amaral, her brother, heir, executor and administrator of the Chapter's chapel, located in that monastery. She entails assets, located in Repeses, to fulfill the charges. After her brother's death, João Pais, his son, should succeed him, and so on, in the form of an entail.

Will chart of João Soares Ribeiro, ordering his grave in his chapel of Espírito Santo, located in the mother church of Sernancelhe. He established an entail with a third part his assets and the a third part of assets that D. Francisca had left him and appointing Diogo Ribeiro, his son, to administer it. The succession should be done in the same way as his father determines when he entailed a third part of his assets, except for the obligation to reside in Sernancelhe. He entailed half of the land of Ressaio to the entail instituted by his father. He also administered an entail instituted by Cristóvão da Fonseca Ribeiro, his uncle, ordering that the administrator foreseen in the institution be followed. The charges were to be celebrated in the chapel of Nossa Senhora das Neves, in Távora.
Followed by the respective approval deed (dated 1652-09-27) and the opening deed of a will (dated 1652-10-29).

Will chart of Francisca de Morais, ordering her grave in the chapel that, with António Alves, her first husband, she had made in the church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Nelas, invoking Santiago. She entails all its real estate located in the counties of Senhorim, Folhadal and Canas, in order to fulfill the charges celebrated in that chapel. She appoints Mamede de Abranches, her husband, heir, executor and first administrator. He was to be succeeded by Marcos de Abranches, the founder's nephew, and Marta de Morais, his wife.

Will chart made Margarida Pires and her husband Gaspar do Rego, both ill of the plague, in which they ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail with a perpetual mass obligation of three masses celebrated every week in the mother church of Ponta Delgada, where their bodies should be buried, with holly water and candle lights. They named their son João do Rego to administrate it after their deaths and if he died before assuming the administration, it should be given to his brother Sebastião do Rego, or their sister Leonor Baldaia or her eldest daughter Maria Baldaia, and after the death of any of them the succession should always continue on the eldest male heir.

Will chart of Padre Simão Pereira Sarmento founding an entail and two chapels of masses in the church of Santíssima Trindade, in Lajes do Pico, appointing Simão Pereira da Câmara, his nephew, as his successor and administrator or Diogo Pires, if the first one is absent or dead at the time of his own death. He also appoints Simão Pereira da Câmara, or Diogo Pires, instead, as administrator of the chapel of André Rodrigues, his grandfather, clarifying the succession clauses of this chapel. Besides, the testator bequeaths some properties he received as payment of a debt of his brother-in-law, Rui Gil da Câmara, to the son-in-law and daughter of the latter, Gaspar Gonçalves Carvalhal and Filipa de Escobar, if her brother is already deceased at the time of the testator's death, with the pious obligation of an annual chapel of masses for the souls of his sister, Isidora Pereira, and brother-in-law, Rui Gil da Câmara.
Will approved in 1641-03-01.

They entail several other assets, adding a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated in the convent of São Francisco of Portalegre. They also attach to it properties of the entail established by António Pimenta. After the death of Pedro de Sousa Caldeira, he shall be succeeded by his eldest male son.

Will chart made by Catarina Marques, in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of two chapels with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year. She entail a land (souto), in the location of Juntas, on the outskirts of Marvão, with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year. The institutor named Pedro and Maria, children of Manuel Fernandes, her nephews, as first administrators during them lifetime. The land would be divided into equal parts, being administered separately. After each one's death, they would be succeeded by his eldest son and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.
Catarina Marques ordered also another other chapel. Named Isabel Fernandes and Margarida, daughters of Manuel Fernandes, her nieces, as first administrators during them lifetime. Isabel Fernandes was supposed to live in the houses entailed all her lifetime, paying Margarida 2.000 réis every year. After the death of the last of them, she would be succeeded by her eldest son and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.

The first administrator had to be chosen from among the founder's children by Vasco Pires, his brother and executor. If, one day, the administration fell to the same administrator of the chapel established by Guiomar Nunes, they should be annexed.

The institutor named Joana Batista de Monroio, her niece, as first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she would be succeeded by her eldest male son. The first administrator would only receive the administration of the chapel if she married in accordance with the conditions expressed by the founder.

Will chart made by Beatriz de Matos, in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of five masses celebrated every year in the hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, in Castelo de Vide. The institutor named Gaspar de Matos, her husband, as first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he would be succeeded by Antónia de Matos, during her lifetime. After her death, she would be succeeded by her children.
Followed by several statements by the founder adding clauses to the will. In one of them, she appoints Belchior Cardoso, her nephew, to administer the chapel, after the death of Gaspar de Matos and jointly with Antónia de Matos.

The institutors named Simão, their nephew, as first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he would be succeeded by the legitimate son of their choosing. From there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the oldest descendant of the previous administrator.

Will chart made by João Martins and his wife Isabel Rodrigues, in which they ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of forty masses celebrated every year in Arronches. The institutor named Gonçalo Valente, their son, who was to be ordained a cleric, as first administrator during his lifetime. He had to nominate whoever he wanted to succeed him in the administration. If he did not become a cleric, after his death, he would be succeeded by his eldest male son. The first administrator could entail new assets to the chapel and increase the charges.

Will chart by which Maria Fernandes Marouco, Manuel Vaz Mimoso's widow, establishes eight entails for her nephews and nieces, each one with an obligation of two annual masses.
The first one was composed of the houses where the institutor lived, in Castelo de Vide and was to be administered by Jorga, her niece, and afterwards by her daughters.
The second one was composed of other houses in Castelo de Vide and was to be administered by Maria Vivas and Leonor Fernandes, and afterwards by their children.
The third one was composed of a land in Alpalhão, and was to be administered by Isabel Freire, and afterwards by her children.
The fourth one was composed of a vineyard in Cruz da Tapada and was to be administered by Maria Mourato, and afterwards by her children.
The fifth one was composed of a land in Ameixieira, which the institutor had inherited from her father, and was to be administered by Jorge Vaz, who would be succeded by his sons.
The sixth one was composed of another farmland and was to be administered by Jorge Afonso and Álvaro Fernandes, who would be succeeded by their children.
The seventh one was composed farmlands in Castelo de Vide, and was to be inherited by Maria Mendes and Leonor Mendes, sisters, who would be succeded by their children.
The last one was composed of another land, which should be entailed to a single annual mass, and was to be administered by Maria, daughter of Gregório Dias, who would be succeeded by her children.

Will by which Catarina Velha de Almeida, João Monteiro's widow, founded an entail with the third of her assets, instituting the pious obligation of 5 masses (1 of which chanted) to be celebrated in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. She appointed her grandson, João Monteiro, as the entail's first administrator. If her grandson died childless, he should be succeeded by D. Maria Valente, her granddaughter. She chose to be buried in the church of the said convent, in the same grave where already lied her husband. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1606-03-30.

She appointed Nuno da Fonseca Coutinho to be the first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he shall be succeeded by Manuel da Fonseca. The testator bequeaths properties in Arruda dos Vinhos and Vale do Grou to his compadre, Fernando Eanes, barbeiro, with the obligation of celebrating 50 annual masses in the churches of S. Tiago and of Santa Maria of Arruda dos Vinhos. After the first administrator's death, the entail would be transmitted to a son chosen by him.

After the death of his wife, that estate should be delivered to his niece, Vitória do Rego, with the obligation of supporting the celebration of 56 annual masses for his soul in the church of S. João Batista of Lumiar. If those assets were sold, the pious obligation had to go with them.
The testators left lands in Albogas to Maria Brás, Inês' sister, with the obligation of celebrating 2 masses, every year, for their souls in the church of Almargem do Bispo.
They also left a rent (foro) in a vineyard to João Gonçalves, their brother-in-law, and his wife, obligating them to celebrate an annual mass for their souls in an unidentified church. After their deaths, the entail would be inherited by their daughter, Maria.
Inês Brás determined that, after the death of her husband, all her assets had to be delivered to her nephew, Duarte, who would be responsible for celebrating, each year, 57 masses in the church of S. João Batista. If he died before receiving that inheritance, it would pass to Santos, another nephew of Inês Brás.
The testators declared that their bodies would be buried in the church of S. João Batista of Lumiar. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1569-08-30.

He ordered the executor of his will to erect a chapel in his honour in the church of Santa Maria do Bispo of Montemor-o-Novo, devoted to Nossa Senhora da Conceição, where the remains of his parents and his body would be buried. He entailed to it all his assets and all the estate he would obtain in Índia, determining that its revenues would support the celebration of a perpetual daily mass. The testator appointed his wife, D. Francisca Henriques, to become its first administrator, obligating her to appoint a successor. If she or her descendants died without appointing the next administrator, the entail would be inherited by their closest relative. Since his wife was not yet old enough, the chapel would be administrated by her father, António de Miranda, until she reached the appropriate age. If the institutor was unable to gather any assets in Índia, or if they were lost in the voyage to Portugal, the chapel's institution would become null. The testator also founded an entail, incorporating in it the remaining of the third part of her assets and rents (foros) extracted from lands (casais) in Nossa Senhora do Monte, outskirts of Almada. She appointed her son, Duarte Vaz Pinto, to administrate it, ordering him to pass it to his eldest son or, if he left no offspring, to his eldest sister, Branca Pinto. João da Praça, left by the testator, and pray for his soul.

Will by which Maria Francisca da Rosa established a chapel, incorporating the "casal do Casalinho" with its houses, olive groves and lands, the farm of Aramanha and some olive groves in Cartaxo, in order to fulfill charges in the Convent of São Francisco do Cartaxo. She designated her niece Mariana Tristão, daughter of António Lopes Francisco, to be the first administrator and her eldest son should succeed her.

Will by which padre Manuel Vaz Perestrelo, Secretário do Santo Ofício da Inquisição de Évora, wanted to be buried in the Church of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Castelo de Vide. He ordered the foundation of a chapel in that church with a perpetual pious obligation of three hundred masses celebrated every year, and ordered the purchase of some assets in Castelo de Vide. The institutor named his niece Isabel as first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, the succession should continue, preferably, on the male heir. If Isabel had no children, the administration would be handled to the Confraria das Almas.
