Will by which Gaspar Rebelo de Abreu declares he had acquired the chapel of Santo Onofre from the priests of the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa, where he and his wife wished to be buried, and that they had established a daily mass for their souls, entailed to a public debt instrument in the Alfândega of Lisboa. He and his wife bequeath part of their third parts to their eldest son, Pedro Gomes de Abreu, to buy another public debt instrument which shall be applied to the chapel. Gaspar Rebelo de Abreu declares he is claimant in a conflict over the possession of the entail of Cata-que-Farás, which he hopes his eldest son will win. If he inherits this entail, the public debt instrument shall be annexed to it, and the masses of that entail, which were prayed in the church of Conceição, must be changed to the chapel of Santo Onofre. If he doesn't inherit the entail, the chapel and public debt instrument shall pass to his successors regardless. Helena Bota is present and signs the will, authorizing its clauses.

Will by which D. Filipa de Meneses expresses her wish to be buried in the chapel she built in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa. She establishes an entail with her houses in Lisboa and two public debt instruments, set in the Almoxarifado de Évora and in the Casa do Espírito Santo. She designates her niece, D. Luísa, daughter of her sister D. Margarida de Meneses, as first administrator of the entail, with the obligation of ordering a daily mass in her chapel. If she dies without succession, the entail shall pass to her sister, D. Maria. If D. Maria has no descendants, the entail will be divided between the successors of the houses of Belmonte and Vila Flor.

She entails a public debt instrument in the Alfândega do Porto with the obligation of 40 annual masses for her soul. She designates her nephew, João Martins Pinto, as first administrator of her chapel.

Will by which Cristóvão Ferreira established an entail, designating his nephew Bartolomeu de Abreu Belo to be its first administrator. He was due to order the celebration of masses for the souls of purgatory, using the rents of a "casal" located in Oeiras. The institutor mentioned that he was the administrator of another chapel with the obligation to celebrate masses using the rents of some lands located in Oeiras. He also designated his nephew Bartolomeu de Abreu Belo to be its administrator after his death.

Violante Godinho, widow of the desembargador Custódio de Figueiredo Cardoso, juiz dos Feitos da Coroa e Fazenda do Rei in Lisboa, expresses her wish to be buried in the chapel she established in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, next to her husband. She designates her nephew, Francisco Dias Lopes Cardim, married to her niece, D. Margarida Toja, as first administrator of her entail, and his descendants afterwards. She also appoints him as heir of the chapel established by her uncle, licenciado Gaspar Godinho, prior of the church of S. Julião, which she had inherited from him.
She bequeaths a lease and farmlands in Évora to her cousin, Francisca Godinho Mendes, and, after her death, to her cousin's son, Baltasar Godinho Cardim, vigário-geral nas ilhas, and to his heirs, with an obligation of three annual masses in her chapel.
She bequeaths an olive grove in Portel to her other nephew, Belchior Cardim, priest in the monastery of Portel, which shall, after his death, pass to his brother, Francisco Dias Lopes Cardim, with the obligation of giving a jug of olive oil every year to the convent of Portel to light the lamp of the Holy Sacrament, and of praying two masses to Nossa Senhora do Socorro.
She also bequeaths her estate of Soalheira, in Portel, and other farmlands in the same place to her cousin, Gaspar Tojo Gato, and his wife, Maria de Reboredo, with an obligation of three annual masses for her soul in the altar of Nossa Senhora da Conceição of the church of Espírito Santo of Portel, to be fulfilled by them and their descendants.
Finally, she bequeaths houses in Lisboa to padre frei Martinho Moniz, which, after his death, shall be given to her nephew, Baltasar Godinho Cardim, and to his descendants, with an obligation of three annual masses for her soul. If he doesn't have any successors, the houses shall be annexed to her chapel.

Will (extract) by which Beatriz de Freitas established an entail with the obligation to celebrate four masses in the Convent of São Francisco de Xabregas. The institutor appointed Brígida da Guarda to be its first administrator and after her death she designated Sebastiana de Freitas, daughter of Miguel Rodrigues and his wife Margarida da Maia. After Sebastiana's death, she appointed another sister of hers to succeed in this chapel. This entail is composed of houses in Alfama, Lisboa. This chapel later incorporated into Beatriz de Freitas' chapel which was administered by Margarida da Maia.

After the death of the latter, the administration would pass to the Padre Provincial of the Companhia de Jesus.
They had also ordered the construction of a chapel in the place of Souto, in the parish of São Salvador de Telões, on the outskirts of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, invoking São Domingos. They appoint Domingos Gonçalves Souto, their nephew, first administrator and entail assets to fulfill the charges.
They ordered another chapel, in the hermitage of Santa Cristina, in the parish of São Pedro da Aguieira, on the outskirts of Torres Vedras, entailing assets to fulfill the charges. They appoint Inácio Ferreira, their nephew, first administrator.

He appointed Beatriz de Góis to be the administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she shall be succeeded by the administrator of the entail founded by his parents.

He appoints his nephew as administrator of the chapel of the castle house and Leonor Pessanha, for the chapel of the olive grove. The administrator should leave the administration to a son or daughter, but if she did not have them, she should also stay with Rui Pais.

Besides, the testator bequeaths some properties he received as payment of a debt of his brother-in-law, Rui Gil da Câmara, to the son-in-law and daughter of the latter, Gaspar Gonçalves Carvalhal and Filipa de Escobar, if her brother is already death at the time of the testator's death, with the pious obligation of an annual chapel of masses for the souls of his sister, Isidora Pereira, and brother-in-law, Rui Gil da Câmara.

The entail shall pass to the firstborn sons, but if any descendant is a cleric, he will have priority in the administration. The administrator could also appoint the successor, in which case that clause would be respected.

She bequeaths a land in Ponta Delgada to her sister, Antónia Travassos, with pious obligations which, after her sister's death, shall pass to the Misericórdia of that city. She also bequeaths her a vineyard with the obligation of ordering five annual masses, which shall pass to her son and to his successors, after his death. If he dies without children it too shall pass to the Misericórdia. She bequeaths farmlands in the parish of Sete Cidades to her sister-in-law, Ana Fernandes, widow, to pass to one of her children, with the perpetual obligation of ordering five annual masses for her soul either in the chapel of São João of the Misericórdia of Ponta Delgada or in the convent of S. Francisco. She bequeaths her step-mother, Catarina Dinis, a land in Lagoa, with the obligation of ordering an annual mass for her and her father's souls. After Catarina Dinis' death, it shall pass to Amador Travassos, Violante's cousin, and afterwards to his descendants, with the same obligation. She also bequeaths the house in Ponta Delgada where Gabriel Coelho lives to his daughters, Catarina Coelho and Isabel Correia, with the obligation of ordering a chapel of masses for her son's soul in the chapel of São João of the Misericórdia, where he was buried. After their deaths it shall pass to the Misericórdia of Ponta Delgada, with the same obligation.

She altered a clause of her previous will, bequeathing her farmstead in the outskirts of Lisboa ("Santa Catarina de Ribamar") to that convent, on the condition that its friars would celebrate annual masses for her soul and for the soul of her husband. Sebastião, in Ponta Delgada. She named her husband to administrate it with the condition that he would appoint one of their children to succeed him. She mentioned that her father Baltasar Martins de Castro and her grandmother Francisca de Castro had founded entails that she administrated, and as she had the faculty to appoint her successor, she named her son João de Sousa Castelo Branco to administrate both entails.

Afonso V, established an entail, incorporating in it houses in Lisboa, a farmstead in Lumiar ("quinta da Torre"), lands (casal) in Monção, outskirts of Santarém, and properties in Santa Catarina. She designated her nephew, Diogo Dias, Cavaleiro da Casa do Rei, to become its first administrator, determining that him and his descendants had to support the celebration of a daily perpetual mass for her soul and the souls of her relatives in the chapel of Santa Maria of the church of S. João da Praça of that city, where her body would be buried. After the death of Diogo Dias, the entail would be inherited by his eldest son. If his lineage became extinct, the priests of S. João da Praça had to elect someone to be the entail's administrator.

He founded the chapel of Nossa Senhora dos Reis dos Presos da Praça, in Évora, designating his illegitimate son Francisco de Melo to be its administrator. He also designated him to be the administrator of the Quinta de Santo António, in Pêra Manca, of which he was the current administrator.

Lourenço de Arranhó, which they should maintain. The testators declare that their remains must be buried inside their chapel.

Will chart made by D. Clemência de Noronha e Mendonça, daughter of Antão Martins Homem de Noronha, Capitão da Praia da Ilha Terceira, and D. Joana de Mendonça. She declared that she had duly endowed her chapel of Santíssimo Sacramento of the convent of S. Bento of Lisboa, where her body would be buried, providing enough money to support the celebration of the annual masses, its maintenance and illumination. She left many ornaments, textiles and even a relic to the chapel which could never be taken from it. She appointed her nephew, Manuel de Sousa, to administrate it, bequeathing him houses near the Mosteiro da Esperança, in Lisboa. The testator determined that 5 women (merceeiras) would be paid 20 000 réis each year to pray for her soul every day, inside her chapel. They would live in her houses and her bodies would be buried in that chapel.
D. Clemência bequeathed a property in Ilha Terceira ("pasto de Martim"), which was incorporated in an entail she administrated, to Francisco de Câmara Paim, who would succeeded her. She donated a large breviary with its golden lectern and all her books to the convent of Jesus of the village of Praia in Ilha Terceira, which had been erected by her grandparents. She freed her slave, Maria de Amorim/ Maria de Noronha, mulher parda, leaving her furniture, a public debt instrument of 31 000 réis and the revenues of some houses. After her death, the rent would be destined to support, each year, the marriage of an orphan girl. The testator declared that the wooden altarpieces were ready to be put in her chapel.

Will chart by which Beatriz Chamorra, widow of Diogo Pais, wanted to be buried in the Convent of São Francisco, in Funchal, in her mother Inês Gonçalves' grave. She bequeathed her available portion to her offspring, Inês Pais and Pedro Chamorro, and her granddaughter, Isabel Álvares, daughter of Paio Rodrigues, her son, with the pious obligation of 14 perpetual prayed masses, per year. Inês Pais is responsible for dividing the income of this available portion for the three of them. The testator determines that this available portion will always be transmitted to female successors to help them with their sustenance.

Will chart by which António Sanches wanted to be buried in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça de Lisboa. He established an entail, incorporating some houses, a "casal" and a "marinha" located in Lisboa, in order to fulfil the pious obligations in that church. This entail should be administrated by his nephew Pedro de Faria and, after his death, by his son or daughter. If he did not have children, the administration would be attached to the other entail he founded. In addition, he entailed different assets for the celebration of masses in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça de Lisboa, that should be administrated by Violante Maria. The successors must be descendants of Bartolomeu Sanches or António Sanches, nephews of the institutor. If there were no legitimate children, the administration should be attached to the other entail he founded.

He declares that he had previously made an agreement with its prior and friars, by which he promised to give them a public debt instrument of 24 000 réis in exchange for the celebration of annual masses for his soul and that of his wife. Nevertheless, it was still necessary to make a contract with the convent, which he urges his heirs to do. He appoints his wife, Inês Lopes, as the entail's first administrator, bequeathing her part of his assets which should be incorporated in it. He obligates her and her descendants to give, each year, 4 000 réis to that convent in order to assure the chapel's maintenance; to check the state of its ornaments; to donate 10 000 réis to the convent of S. Domingos and S. Francisco of Lisboa, each Holy Thursday. The testator allows his wife to choose one of her nephews or nieces to be her successor, as long as he/she resides in Lisboa. He demands his remains to be buried inside his chapel.
