Will chart by which Martinho Esteves left his possessions, located in Lisbon and Alenquer, to his nephews Constança, Beatriz and Nuno. They were due to order the celebration of masses in the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora. After their deaths, it should succeed the eldest son of the last one that would die.

He names his minor son Francisco administrator and, until he reached his age, António Correia. He reiterates that the institution made by his grandparents must be fulfilled and also entails the remainder of his third part, after the legacies are fulfilled.

Will chart of priest Pedro Lopes da Horta, ordering his grave in the church of São Vicente of Abrantes. He entails half of an olive grove, located in Telheiros, near Santa Catarina, for the celebration of charges and payment of a pension to Bernardina de Jesus, his cousin, nun at the convent of Nossa Senhora da Esperança of Abrantes. After her death, she was supposed to go to Apolónia Vaz, cousin of the institutor, and then to her eldest son.

He also appoints her as administrator of Morgado da Serra. He entails what remains of his third part, afther legacies being fulfilled, as well as a third part of his father (Salvador Dias) and mother (Clara Dias) and instituted a chapel in the church of São Bartolomeu of Coimbra. He also appoints his wife to administer it. Diogo Gonçalves, the institutor's brother, must have succeeded him, and then his children. The morgado da Serra was also to be managed by his brother and later his nephews.

Will chart of Henrique Luís Correia, ordering his burial in the church of São Neutel, in Portimão, in the grave of Henrique Luís, his uncle, and Catarina Eanes, his aunt, which they had built and which was administered by Luís Mendes de Sousa, his uncle, and Margarida Nunes, his sister. He appoints Luís Mendes de Sousa as his executor.
He leaves Leonor Fernandes Gramaxo, his sister, a property, with a garden and vineyard houses, located on the outskirts of Estômbar, with certain pious charges, celebrated at the altar of the Fiéis de Deus, in the mother church of Portimão. If necessary, his executor could, however, rent it, to pay the debtor's debts and legacies with the fruits and only then hand it over to his sister, who would leave it to one of her children. If he had no children, he would stay with one of Luís Martins de Sousa.
It is inserted in an opening deed of a will (dated 1609-07-21), with an approval deed (dated 1608-08-06).

Will chart of João Arca, ordering his grave in the monastery of São Francisco of Funchal. He appoints Joana Gomes, his wife, his universal heir, who is responsible for the administration of the assets and charges that are associated with him. It was also her job to appoint the next administrator.

Will chart of João de Mendonça founding a chapel in the convent of Madre de Deus of Lisboa, where he wishes to be buried. He entails his houses in Lisboa with an obligation of two weekly masses. He appoints his eldest son, Manuel de Mendonça, who is captive, as his successor. If he dies before his father, the entail shall be inherited by another of his sons.
His heir will also have to order masses in the church of Nossa Senhora dos Anjos of Alhos Vedros for the soul of his aunt, D. Inês, which had bequeathed him certain properties with this condition, and order masses for the soul of João Falcão in Torres, as his aunt did.
Followed by approval deed dated 1578-11-29.

Will chart of Gonçalo Vaz, entailing assets to fulfill pious charges. He entailed some houses, located on Rua Longa, with the charge of masses, to Sebastião Monteiro, his nephew and executor. He leaves the remainder of the untested goods to Domingos Pacheco, his nephew, and his tutor, to finish the Santo António's chapel, appointing Domingos Pacheco as his first administrator.

Will chart by which Manuel de Miranda orders his executors to buy properties with his assets to entail to a chapel with the obligation of three weekly masses in the church where his body will be buried. He appoints Simão, son of his slave Ana, whom he raised, as administrator of his chapel and heir of his properties, which shall pass, afterwards, to his descendants. As Simão is a minor, he shall live in the house of one of his executors, be educated by them and be married to a noble woman. If Simão doesn't have heirs, or dies, the administration of his properties shall be given to Diogo Rodrigues de Lisboa one of the executors, if he is still alive, but only during his lifetime. After Diogo's death, two thirds of those properties shall be given to Guiomar de Miranda, sister of the institutor, or to her descendants, and another third shall be given to one of Manuel's nieces, daughter of Catarina de Miranda, another of his sisters who is already deceased. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1576-12-01 and an opening deed issued on 1577-12-26.

Will chart of Manuel Gonçalves entailing his grandmother's, Catarina Alves, available portion and ordering 120 réis, per year, of masses for her soul, as stated in her will, in which he was appointed as executor and administrator. He appoints as his successor her daughter, Susana. He also appoints Guiomar, his eldest daughter, as his successor and administrator of the half of a chapel of his grandfather, Diogo Martins, and his youngest son or daughter as administrator of his mother's, Catarina Dias, masses.

Will chart by which Afonso Eanes Vendeiro established an entail with all his properties in Montemor-o-Novo, determining that its revenues had to support the celebration of annual masses for his soul in the church of Santa Maria do Bispo, where his body would be buried. He appoints his illegitimate son, Sebastião, to be the entail's first administrator and chaplain, if he studied to become a priest. If his son died without leaving descendants, he would be succeeded by Manuel Lopes Vendeiro, the institutor's cousin, and his offspring.

Will chart of Isabel Correia, establishing a chapel with all her assets. She appoints Baltazar de Sá, her son-in-law, executor and administrator. She orders her grave in the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, in the church of São João da Talha, where the charges were to be celebrated. This entail is composed of a farm with its olive groves, houses, two "marinhas", "pinhal" and vineyards in Lisboa.

Will chart by which Estêvão da Rocha de Barros wanted to be buried in the church of Santa Maria Madalena of Turcifal. He designated his brother António da Rocha de Barros to be his heir without any obligations. The institutor annexed his assets to those he inherited from his brother, in order to fulfil the pious obligations. The same would happen with those of his wife Catarina Sanches de Tovar, in case he would administer them.

Will chart by which Mécia Dias designated her sister Guiomar Cabeça to be her last will executor and universal heir, and her children and heirs should succeed her. She left a "casal" located in Caspolima to her nephew Filipe Antunes, with the obligation to order the celebration of masses. It should succeed one of his male children. If there was no appointment, the eldest son would succeed. She established a chapel, incorporating four "casais" located on the outskirts of Lisbon in order to fulfill the charges celebrated in the church of Oeiras. She designated her brother António Martins to be the first administrator. He should appoint the successor among his male children. If there was no appointment, the eldest son would succeed.

He established an entail, incorporating all his assets to fulfill the charges. Will chart by which Juliana Dias established a chapel in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo in Lisbon, and appointed Luís Álvares Themudo to be its first administrator and universal heir. She was buried in front of the altar of the Santíssimo Sacramento and Nossa Senhora da Piedade. This entail is composed of houses where she lived, located in rua da Ferraria, parish of São Gião, in Lisbon, and other assets.

Will chart by which Francisco Beliago Carneiro, Cavaleiro Fidalgo da Casa do Rei, bequeaths his farmstead (quinta) of Rocio da Amora, in the ourtskirts of Almada, which he had inherited from his niece, Ana Beliago, to the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, with the obligation of celebrating annual masses for Francisco and Ana's souls. He declares that his remains should be buried in the church of that convent , and orders that Ana's bones must be interred in his grave. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1626-10-15 and an opening deed issued on 1626-10-16.

Will chart made by Margarida Nunes de Horta in which she ordered her grave in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição or Assunção, in the hermitage of Espírito Santo da Pedreira, in Lisbon. It also orders the institution of a recolhimento for merceeiras. She appoints Jorge de Horta, her nephew, as administrator of the chapel she had previously founded with her sister Mécia Nunes de Horta, now deceased. If he did not have children, Manuel Nunes, living in Lisbon, should succeed him.

Will chart made by Jorge da Mota in which he ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail with a perpetual obligation of one mass celebrated every week in the church of São João, that he and his wife Bertolesa da Costa were building in their farm in Vila Franca do Campo. He named his wife Bertolesa da Costa as first administrator and their son João da Mota after her. After João, the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. He entailed several items made of silver, silk and cloth to the chapel.

He founded a chapel in Carrazeda and designated his sister Isabel Fernandes to be its first administrator and, after her death, her eldest son. Will chart by which Cosme Bernardes expresses his wish to be buried in the church of S. João, where his wife, Isabel Serrão, is buried, and where he orders a chapel to be built. He establishes an entail with his properties, to which he annexes the third part of his wife, Isabel Serrão, and the third part of his mother, Beatriz Gomes. He designates Francisca Dias, his cousin, wife of Manuel Ribeiro, as first administrator. Her son Diogo Ribeiro was to succeed her, and then his eldest son. They shall order the masses established by Beatriz Gomes in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa and two weekly masses and an annual one in the church of S. João, where Cosme Bernardes and his wife are buried.

Will chart by which Pedro Gonçalves Rebelo established an entail, incorporating half of his immovable goods for the fulfillment of the masses celebrated in the altar of Santo Crucifixo, in the mother church of Viana do Castelo. He designated his wife Maria Vicente to be its first administrator, who should be succeeded by his brother Gonçalo Dias and his brother Baltasar Dias. After his death, the eldest son of Gonçalo Dias should succeed in this entail. If these administrators did not be fulfil the obligations, the administration should be transferred to the Irmandade de Jesus.

Will chart of Leonor Fernandes, ordering her grave in the church of Vera Cruz of Santarém. She institutes a chapel, entailing the third parts of his property and that of her parents, namely in the place of Horta, for the fulfillment of charges for the souls of her parents and for her own, celebrated in the monastery of Santa Catarina de Almourol and in the church of Vera Cruz. She appoints Branca de Figueiredo, her niece, first administrator. After her death, she was supposed to stay for a daughter.
She instituted another chapel, entailing an olive grove in Alvisquer, to fulfill the charges for her soul and those of António Gonçalves, her husband, their children and Frei Simão, celebrated in the church of Vera Cruz. Appoints Isabel, daughter of António da Mouta, first administrator. After her death, she was supposed to be for her children.

Will chart by which Branca Lopes wanted to be buried in the Convent of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios in Évora. She declared that she had a letter of quittance, proving the purchase of real estate, with the value of the movable assets left by her brother Gabriel Gonçalves and entailed to the chapel founded by him. She was the administrator of his brother's entail, and wanted to incorporate the remaining assets she possessed into the chapel, adding some pious obligations. After her death, her sister Maior de Azevedo should succeed in this entail.

Will chart made by António Cardoso and Brásia Rodrigues in which they took their reserved portions and founded an entail with a perpetual obligation of two yearly mass celebrated in All Souls' Day, one for each of them, naming their daughter Vitória Cardoso as first administrator and the eldest heir, preferably the male over the female. If Vitória died without heirs, the administration should be transmitted, in order, to their sons Nicolau, or João or Sebastião. António Cardoso left 20 000 réis of his own reserved portion to build the chapel of N. Sra. da Conceição in the convent of São Francisco, in Vila da Praia, as his father, João Cardoso Teles, ordered on his will.

Will chart of António Barreto de Faria, ordering his grave in the low choir of the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Tentúgal. He established a entail, with the obligation of masses, appointing his sisters, madres Inês da Purificação and Joana do Espírito Santo, to administer it. The entail was always to be administered by the nun who was his closest relative. It was up to the first administrators to establish the charges that should be entered into.
It follows an approval deed (dated 1671-09-29) and an opening deed of a will (dated 1671-10-19).

Will chart of João Fernandes Bolho and Ana Fernandes, his wife, ordering their grave in the church of Nossa Senhora de Mourão. They entail the third of assets, with charges, appointing Manuel Fernandes, their son, as administrator. If he died without descendants, Maria, their granddaughter, daughter of Henrique Girão, should be left, and if he died, Ana, also daughter of Henrique Girão.
This is followed by an approval deed (dated 1575-05-15), a codicil (dated 1575-06-05), and an approval deed (dated 1575-06-05).

Will chart made by Leonor Gil. Through which she revokes and changes some of the dispositions of the will she had made with her husband. Now, she adds more properties to the entail, establishes a perpetual mass obligation of 12 masses celebrated annually and appoints only their son António Rodrigues as administrator of the entail, with the condition that he appoints his son to succeed him on the administration. All the other administrators should also be chosen by appointment and give alms to the Confraria do Santísismo Sacramento of Angra.

Will chart made by Iria Cota da Malha in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail and the construction of a chapel devoted to S. Francisco in the convent of S. Francisco, in Angra, with a perpetual mass obligation of three masses celebrated in every year. She, her husband, and all their successors should be buried on this chapel. She appointed her nephew Constantino Machado as first administrator with the condition that he should appoint one of his children to succeed him, continuing the administration by appointment.

Will chart made by Cristóvão Borges da Costa and his wife Catarina, ordering, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail with a perpetual obligation of two masses celebrated every year. They named one another as administrators and their two daughters after both of them were dead, and after the death of their daughters, the administration should be transmitted to Salvador Borges and his descendants, or, if he died withou children, to Manuel Borges. They ordered that this entail should be annexed to the entail founded by Izeu Pacheco.

Will chart of Afonso da Cunha, capitão-mor de Alvor. He determined that his body had to be buried in the grave of Álvaro de Ataíde, since his chapel was being built at that moment in Nossa Senhora do Rosário, Alvor. His wife, Guiomar Simões, would be responsible for choosing the patron saint of the chapel, where the testator's remains would be deposited and a weekly perpetual mass would be celebrated for his soul. The future administrators of that chapel would be obligated to maintain it and to preserve its ornaments.
The institutor established another chapel, entailing to it all the assets he had inherited from Aldonça de Arvelos, his cousin, namely two watermills in Lagos, houses on Rua de Pedro Borges, in that city, and unspecified rents (foros). The revenues of those properties would support the celebration of a perpetual mass every friday wherever his body would be buried. He designated his wife to administrate it, asking her to entail the houses in which they lived in Alvor to the chapel. She would be succeeded by her nephew, Francisco de Freitas, who would transmit it to his eldest son.
Followed by an approval deed, issued on 1592-07-09, a codicil from 1592-07-17 and the approval deed of the codicil, issued on 1592-07-17.

Will chart of Manuel da Cruz, ordering his grave in the hermitage of Santo Amaro, in Cortiça. He nominates Joana da Paz, his wife and executor, as the first administrator of the chapel that he instituted in the brotherhood of Santo Amaro, in that hermitage. After her death, the chapel was to be administered by his nephews, sons of Maria Simões, his sister, leaving her wife to choose the one she considered best to fulfill the charges. The following administrators would be appointed by the previous. In case of non-compliance of the charges, the administration should pass to the brotherhood of Santo Amaro.

Will chart of Violante Travassos, ordering her grave in the church of Nossa Senhora de Mourão, in Tentúgal. She instituted a chapel, entailing her untested assets to fulfill the charges, celebrated in the convent of Santa Cristina, and appoints Rodrigo Moniz, her brother, as first administrator. After her death it was to be inherited by António Moniz, her nephew and executor, and then by her eldest legitimate daughter. However, if there were no sons or daughters, the male relative would have preference. In case of non-compliance, the administration would be left to the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament.

Will chart of Gil Rebelo Cardoso, ordering his grave in his chapel, invoking Santo António. He and his wife, Helena de Figueiredo de Almeida, entail all of their assets, except those of António Cardoso Correia's dowry, to that chapel, to fulfill the charges. They designate their niece, Helena, as first administrator, after both their deaths.

After the death of each of them, the succession should continue, preferably, on their eldest male heirs. He entails all the assets of third part of his assets in an entail, similar to what had been instituted by his parents. The administrator of the entail should be the same one who administered the one of his parents, and should always remain together. Bernardo, his son, must administer in both entails.

Will chart made by Fernando do Quental in which he ordered his burial in the convent of S. Francisco of Ponta Delgada, where his wife, Margarida de Matos, was buried. He established an entail composed of the remaining part of his properties, with a perpetual obligation of one mass celebrated every saturday wherever his body was buried. He named his son frei Jerónimo do Quental as first administrator and to his eldest daughter after his death, and from there on the succession should continue on the eldest heir.

They declare they had signed a contract, in 1604-03-26, with the provedor of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Azurara, reserving the income from several properties for the construction of the chancel of that church and hospital expenses. They now entail those properties as a chapel and appoint Maria Tomé, as the first administrator. A daughter was to succeed her, with females taking precedence in administration.
They institute another entail with properties located in the outskirts of Prado which shall be used to purchase olive oil and wax for the Santíssimo Sacramento of the convent of São Francisco of Azurara. They appoint Maria Carneiro as the first administrator, to be succeeded by her daughter, Ana.

Will chart of Isabel de Castro. She appoints Constantino Mendes de Gouveia, her nephew, as her heir and executor. She orders her burial in the church of Santa Engrácia, where her husband, Estevão Zagalho de Andrade, was also buried. She leaves a candal, a farm in Espiçandeira, on the outskirts of Alenquer, and some houses in Lisboa, in Rua da Feteira, for the celebration of charges. After her executor's death, it was to be left to one of his children. If his lineage was extinguished, the entail would be administered by the Misericórdia of Lisboa. The executor must also give a dowry, in the amount of 100 000 réis, to Isabel Borges de Castro, her sister, to profess in the convent of Espírito Santo in Torres Novas. The executor, and other possessors, had to give an annual account in the Juízo das Capelas of the celebration of the charges.

At the end of the will, there is an undated declaration, signed by the testator, through which she revokes what she had declared regarding the partition of her patrimony. The testator decides to bequeath all her assets to D. Francisco de Noronha, her stepson, on the condition that he marries her niece, Helena de Macedo. The couple and their descendants are obligated to support the celebration of annual masses for D. Joana de Macedo's soul and that of her mother in the church of that convent.
