Will chart made by Isabel Velez, in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of a chapel, dedicated to Santo António, with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year in the church of Santa Maria Madalena de Portalegre. The institutor named Isabel Valente as first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she would be succeeded by her son she nominates, whether male or female.

Will chart by which Maria Leitão, Ana Trigueiros, Margarida Trigueiros and Antónia Trigueiros, João Leitão and Leonor Trigueiros' daughters, stated that, until the death of the last of them, the ones who survived would administrate their patrimony. After their demise, their estate would be passed to Maria de Barros, their niece, António Trigueiros' wife, with the obligation that her and her descendants supported the celebration of 16 annual masses in the convent of Santo António of Varatojo, where the testators' remains would be buried. This pious obligation would be perpetually associated to the properties in A dos Cunhados, Torres Vedras, which could not never be sold or exchanged. Maria de Barros and António Trigueiros were allowed, during their lifetime, to do whatever they wanted with the majority of the inherited properties. At the time of their deaths, the remaining assets would be incorporated in the entail containing the lands in A dos Cunhados. If Maria de Barros died without appointing a successor, the entail would be passed to her husband and his heirs. Followed by declarations issued on 1580-11-01 and an approval deed issued on 1580-11-02.

Will chart by which Jerónimo de Quintanilha, comendador da Ordem de Cristo, expresses his wish to be buried in the convent of Capuchos da Madre de Deus, near the archbishop D. Gaspar, his uncle. He designates his sister, Cosma Rodrigues de Quintanilha, as administrator of the chapel of Isabel Afonso, of which he was the current administrator by appointment from his father, João de Quintanilha. If Cosma Rodrigues dies before him, or without successors, the chapel shall pass to Maria Duarte, daughter of their sister Beatriz de Quintanilha. He also bequeaths her an orchard in Caspolima, Oeiras, to which he entails an obligation of three annual masses in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa, for his and his parents' souls. After her death, it shall pass to the person whom she appoints as heir of the chapel of Isabel Afonso, so the two obligations are always together.
He bequeaths his nephew, Jerónimo Quintanilha, who lives in S. Miguel, or his sister, 18 000 serafins or pardaus, under condition that he moves to Lisboa with his family and buys properties to entail to an obligation of four annual masses in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade.

Will chart by which Cosma Rodrigues de Quintanilha expresses her wish to be buried in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa, near her father, João de Quintanilha. She entails a casal in Zambujal, S. Domingos de Rana, with an obligation of 52 masses over the tomb of her parents. She designates her husband, Cristóvão Ferreira da Fonseca, as first administrator of the entail and, after his death, her great-nephew, Diogo Dominico, eldest son of her niece, Maria de Quintanilha, and his descendants.

Will chart of priest António Vaz Figueiredo. He orders his grave in the church of Nossa Senhora da Purificação, in front of Santo André. He appoints Pedro Lopes, Maria Jorge, his wife, and Inês Vicente, mother of Pedro Lopes, his executors and heirs of all his assets, with the charge of completing the work of his hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Paciência. The legacy is made in the form of a chapel, establishing the fulfillment of pious charges. The last of the three to die was to appoint the next administrator from among his generation, whether lay or ecclesiastical. It contains the list of entailed assets.

Will by which Diogo Gonçalves do Prado, Guiomar Machado's husband, founded an entail, with the pious obligation of one daily mass to be celebrated in the chapel of Trindade, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. He incorporated various houses he had in Lisboa, a property (casal) in its outskirts, and the third of his and his wife's assets in the mentioned entail. He appointed his son, Diogo, as its first administrator, after whose death he ought to be succeeded by his male first born son. If Diogo died childless, the entail was bequeathed to Fernando de Braga, who then had the responsibility of appointing the next administrator. He chose to be buried in the aforementioned chapel, in the grave where lied his brother, João Gonçalves de Prado. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1472-06-01, and an opening deed issued on 1474-06-15.

Will chart by which Álvaro Esteves, Escudeiro do Rei, and Maria Álvares, his wife, bequeath houses in Lisboa to Gonçalo Mendes Monteiro, Estêvão Gomes and their wives, Catarina Álvares and Inês Gomes, nieces of the testators, obligating them to lease the properties and to use its revenues to support the celebration of annual masses in the church of S. Nicolau of that city. Those houses were already linked to a pious obligation instituted by António Ximenes in the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, which should be fulfiled by the entail's future administrators. They declare that their remains should be buried inside that church. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1505-12-13 and an opening deed issued on 1505-12-23.

Will chart by which Bento Pacheco da Mota, capitão and sargento-mor of Ribeira Grande, wanted to be buried in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Estrela, in his grandfather's grave. He bequeathed his available portion to his son, Paulo Pacheco, with the pious obligation of a perpetual chapel, half of it for his soul and the other half for his wife's, Maria da Rocha, soul. He also bequeathed to his daughter, Isabel de São João, professa in the monastery of Santo André of Vila Franca do Campo, 13 alqueires and a half of land, that was bequeathed to him by his aunt, Isabel Correia, with the pious obligation of half of a chapel. He also bequeathed these alqueires to his daughter with the pious obligation a chapel of masses, half of it for the soul of his aunt, the first institutor, and the other half for his soul. After the death of her daughter, the 13 alqueires and a half of land will return to his available portion's successor. Will approved in 1668-09-11.

Will chart of António de Faria in which he ordered, among several other dispositions, the foundation of an entail in Vila da Lagoa with a perpetual obligation of one mass celebrated in every week as long as the world lasted. He named his nephew António Lopes de Faria as first administrator and one of his children after him, continuing the succession by appointment. He recomended the administrator to have a very special care with his slaves.

Will chart by which Gabriel Gonçalves wanted to be buried in the church of the convent of São Francisco de Évora. He established a chapel, incorporating three properties for the fulfillment of charges, celebrated in the church of Santo Antão de Évora. He designated his sister Maior de Azevedo to be its first administrator and, after her death, it should succeed his sister Branca Lopes. After her death, the administrator should belong to their cousin Gabriel Gonçalves' line.

Will chart by which Manuel de Sousa de Meneses wanted to be buried in the church of Santa Maria de Serpa. He designated Francisca Ximenes and his last will executor Afonso Perdigão to be the administrators of his grandmother Ana de Oliveira's chapel. He incorporated his assets into this chapel and he determined that, after their death, the administrator should be chosen annually in the Church of Santa Maria de Serpa.

Francisco of Vila Franca do Campo and appointing Madre Catarina de Jesus, her goddaughter, and capitão-mor António Moniz Furtado, her goddaughter's father, as her executors and her estate's administrators. After their death, António de Medeiros Araújo and, after him, one of his sons appointed by him, only if he is from her husband's lineage.

Will chart of Padre Simão Pereira Sarmento founding an entail and two chapels of masses in the church of Santíssima Trindade, in Lajes do Pico, appointing Simão Pereira da Câmara, his nephew, as his successor and administrator or Diogo Pires, if the first one is absent or dead at the time of his own death. He also appoints Simão Pereira da Câmara, or Diogo Pires, instead, as administrator of the chapel of André Rodrigues, his grandfather, clarifying the succession clauses of this chapel. Besides, the testator bequeaths some properties he received as payment of a debt of his brother-in-law, Rui Gil da Câmara, to the son-in-law and daughter of the latter, Gaspar Gonçalves Carvalhal and Filipa de Escobar, if her brother is already deceased at the time of the testator's death, with the pious obligation of an annual chapel of masses for the souls of his sister, Isidora Pereira, and brother-in-law, Rui Gil da Câmara.

The institutor named António Gonçalves, his brother, as first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he would be succeeded by the son he nominate.

Will chart made by João Tavares Falcão, in which he bequeaths to his son, Diogo Pereira, the sum of 8 000 cruzados with the same charges and clauses contained in the institution of the chapel that he had inherited from his aunt Guiomar Nunes, from Castelo de Vide.
He also ordered the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of five masses celebrated every year in Portalegre. The first administrator had to be chosen from among the founder's children by Vasco Pires, his brother and executor. If, one day, the administration fell to the same administrator of the chapel established by Guiomar Nunes, they should be annexed.

The institutors named Simão, their nephew, as first administrator during his lifetime and, after his death, he would be succeeded by the legitimate son of their choosing. From there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the oldest descendant of the previous administrator.

Will chart made by João Martins and his wife Isabel Rodrigues, in which they ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of forty masses celebrated every year in Arronches. The institutor named Gonçalo Valente, their son, who was to be ordained a cleric, as first administrator during his lifetime. He had to nominate whoever he wanted to succeed him in the administration. If he did not become a cleric, after his death, he would be succeeded by his eldest male son. The first administrator could entail new assets to the chapel and increase the charges.

Will chart made by Gonçalo Mendes in which he says he had previously instituted a chapel, invoking Jesus, Maria and José, now entailing his assets, after the legacies were fulfilled, to fulfill charges. He appointed Catarina Luís to be the first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she will be succeeded by the relative chosen to succeed her. The administrator was obliged to reside in the houses adjacent to the chapel.

Will chart made by Gil Moutoso in which he claims that he had instituted a chapel as a wedding dowry for Mécia Rodrigues, with a perpetual pious obligation of masses and the faculty of appointing the administrator among the couple's children. Thus, he asks Mécia Rodrigues to appoint Gaspar Moutoso as administrator. The testator was administrator of another chapel, established by Violante Lopes, to which he also appointed Gaspar Moutoso.
The “cumpra-se” dates from 1615-03-18.

Will chart made by Pedro Barreto, Fidalgo da Casa do Rei, who was about to embark for Índia. He ordered the executor of his will to erect a chapel in his honour in the church of Santa Maria do Bispo of Montemor-o-Novo, devoted to Nossa Senhora da Conceição, where the remains of his parents and his body would be buried. He entailed to it all his assets and all the estate he would obtain in Índia, determining that its revenues would support the celebration of a perpetual daily mass. The testator appointed his wife, D. Francisca Henriques, to become its first administrator, obligating her to appoint a successor. If she or her descendants died without appointing the next administrator, the entail would be inherited by their closest relative. Since his wife was not yet old enough, the chapel would be administrated by her father, António de Miranda, until she reached the appropriate age. If the institutor was unable to gather any assets in Índia, or if they were lost in the voyage to Portugal, the chapel's institution would become null. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1508-03-17.

Will (extract) of father Miguel da Fonseca, by which he declared that he wished to institute a chapel in the hermitage of Santa Ana, with the perpetual obligation of a daily mass. The testator left "um conto de réis" to be entailed. He appointed his niece Ângela da Fonseca, married to Gabriel de Araújo de Vasconcelos, as the first administrator, followed by her descendants, with the right to appoint one of her children as her successor. If she failed to do so, preference would be given to first-born sons. If they had no descendants, the entail would go to another of the founder's nieces, Mariana da Fonseca, or finally to his natural daughter, Marta da Fonseca. The administrators were obliged to use the family name and had to report to the Juízo dos Resíduos every three years on the correct celebration of the prescribed masses.

Domingos of Lisboa. After her mother's death, the entail should be inherited by the eldest son of the institutor. The testator declares that her remains and her father's bones should be buried in that church.

Francisco of Lisboa. She bequeaths it to her niece, D. Ana Durenha, wife of Francisco de Castilho. D. Ana Durenha will have the capacity of appointing her eldest son or daughter as the entail's next administrator, and it shall thereafter be in possession of their successors. If these requirements are not met, the entail shall be givevn to the Misericórdia of Lisboa.
