Will (extract) by Francisca de Avelar, Estêvão Leitão's widow, through which she bequeaths houses in Lisboa to Luís Leitão, her only son, with the obligation of celebrating annual masses in the church of the convent of S. She was due to order the celebration of masses in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Lisboa. This entail is composed of a farm called "Lagem" and a casal called "Maqueda" located in Alenquer.

Will (extract) in which Justa Vaz’s brother establishes entails for his children: Duarte, Martinho and Isabel de Castro do Rio, some of which are funded by money left by his sister. He declares that Justa Vaz appointed him as her universal heir, giving him the usufruct of her assets, during his lifetime, and ordering him to transmit them to one of his children or to divide them among them, forming entails. From the money she left, he thus bequeaths 8 000 cruzados to this daughter Isabel and 12 000 cruzados to his son Duarte de Castro do Rio, to found two entails. If their lineages are extinguished these entails shall be annexed to the entail he founded for his eldest son, Martinho de Castro do Rio, with the same conditions. He also bequeaths 40 000 cruzados to Martinho de Castro do Rio, which shall be annexed to the entail he founded for him. Martinho de Castro do Rio must also buy properties to entail to the obligation of masses established in Justa Vaz's codicil, which shall be administered by the successors of his entail.

Will (extract) by which Maria Pereira established an entail, appointing her husband Manuel Lobo de Melo to be its first administrator. He was due to order the celebration of masses and to light a candle in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, in Lisboa. This entail is composed of a farm called "Vale do Grou", located in the outskirts of Almada. Preceded by a dowry deed dated 1658-02-06.

Will (extract) by which Bartolomeu Vieira de Almada bequeaths his properties to his granddaughter, D. Mariana, and her heirs, with an obligation of five annual masses in the church of Póvoa de Santo Adrião. If she dies without descendants, the entail shall pass to Bartolomeu Vieira de Almada's nephew, Jacinto Luís Vieira, son of his brother, Luís Vieira de Almada, or to another of his granddaughters.

Will (extract) in which João Álvares and Catarina Freire entail the third part of their assets, consisting of properties they have on the outskirts of Sintra: a property (casal), lands in Cortegaça, houses with orange groves, and an orchad in Várzea. When one of them dies, the other will have the entail with the obligation of fulfilling a set of pious charges. After their death, the entail should be administrated by João Freire, Catarina’s brother, and then passed to his eldest son. The pious charges should be accomplished in the church of Colares, where the testators had their burial place and in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa, where Simão Freire, João Freire’s brother, had his. The testators order the inventory of the entail’s properties in a tombo, with a copy staying with the entail’s administrator and the other with the Confraria do Santíssimo Sacramento. They add that the masses in the church of Colares should be said by a son of Catarina’s uncle Manuel Brás if he becomes a clergyman.

Will (extract) in which Antónia Falcão orders a chapel to be built in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa and expresses her wish to be buried next to her late husband, Garcia Homem. She bequeaths a set of properties to her chapel, which are listed and described, and appoints her nephew Martim Cota Falcão and the priests of the convent as administrators. Martim Cota, who is the eldest son of the testators’ brother, Gaspar Cota Falcão, would have part of the listed properties, subjected to a series of detailed conditions. He was required to fulfil pious obligations for the institutor’s soul and to pay an annual sum of 10 000 réis to the convent. The priests would receive properties near Beirolas and in Salvaterra, as well as the amount paid by Martim Cota and his descendants. These assets were to be entailed and the conditions and alternatives of their transmission are specified.

The surviving spouse also should to receive 1 000 000 réis to buy immovable goods to be incorporated into this entail.

Will (extract) by which the administrator Francisco Salgado de Araújo declared that his first wife left him some houses that were incorporated into the entail of the institutor António Borges de Ceia. These houses should be succeeded by a son, or daughter, in his absence. The institutor left 39 000 réis in Câmara de Lisboa and a farm and casal in "ribeira de Alcântara" for the celebration of masses in the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Anunciada. Francisco Salgado de Araújo also wanted to use his third for the celebration of masses for the institutor's soul. Preceded by a deed of sale dated 1624-04-10, by which the institutor's father, Diogo Borges de Ceia, bought a public debt instrument of 75 000 réis and to which António Borges de Ceia succeeded.

Will (extract) by which Frei Tomás de Brito, the institutor's brother, established the succession of his brother's entail, designating his brother Diogo de Brito and his wife Ana Coelho to be its first administrators. It should succeed their eldest son or, in his absence, the eldest daughter. If there were no heirs from Diogo de Brito's line, it should succeed other heirs of Bartolomeu de Brito, their father.

Maria de Tovar. If their lineages are extinguished, the entail shall pass to the Casa da Misericórdia of Alcácer do Sal.

Will (extract) by which Manuel Manso da Fonseca, desembargador, established an entail, designating his nephew Francisco Manso da Fonseca to be its first administrator and he nominated his wife to be the last will executor. All the assets that remained after the payment of his wife's dowry should be used for the celebration of masses and all his properties should be incorporated into this entail. If his nephew died childless, it should succeed other of his sister's heirs.

Will (extract) by which Mécia Fernandes bequeathed lands (casa) in Valejas, located on the outskirts of Lisboa, to Jorge Lopes, obligating him and his successors to support the celebration of 10 annual masses for her soul and the soul of her sister, Leonor Fernandes, in the churches of S. Miguel and S. Pedro of Alfama. The properties could never be sold or exchanged for others. Jorge Lopes had to appoint the entail's next administrator or, if he died before doing it, to transmit it to his eldest son.

If he has no successors, the entail shall pass to his other nephew, Luís Correia da Silva, or to his sisters, D. Joana and D. Violante.

Will (extract) by which Manuel da Serra established an entail, using his third part of the assets. He designated his son Francisco Xavier da Serra to be its first administrator, with the obligation to order the celebration of masses for his, his wife and his parents' soul. The administrator was free to subrogate the properties to others with higher rents.

Will (extract) by which Henrique Rodrigues de Lisboa bequeathed a farmstead (quinta) in Vale de Freiras to Diogo Rodrigues de Lisboa, his brother, obligating him and his descendants to support the celebration of 11 annual masses for his soul in the church of Misericórdia of Lisboa. After his death, the entail would be transmitted to his eldest son. If Diogo Rodrigues de Lisboa died childless, the entail would be passed to Manuel Rodrigues Lamego, the institutor's other brother.
