Declaration deed by which Adriana Nunes adds clauses and legacies to her will. Among other dispositions, she ordered the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of two masses celebrated every year in Alegrete. The institutor named Martinho Nunes, her brother, as first administrator during his lifetime.

Declaration deed (extract) through which Francisca de Avelar revoked some clauses of her will chart, regarding the foundation of a chapel. She entailed her houses located in Lisboa, altering the number of annual masses to be celebrated in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. She appointed her only son, Luís Leitão, as the entail's first administrator. After his death, it would be administered by the son or daughter of his choice, who would bequeath it to his/her eldest son.

Deed of sale of a property with vineyards, fruit trees and a hut house, in Pico, in the limit of Câmara de Lobos, by Padre António da Silva Barreto to João de Bettencourt Henriques and D. Francisca Henriques, the seller's niece, and their offspring and heirs, for the same price of 280.000 réis, with the declaration that the buyers will enjoy the property in their lifetime and, after the last one's death, the property will be handed to their eldest male son as an entail and always annexed to the available portion of D. Isabel de Bettencourt, composed by Quinta da Torre with the hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Boa Hora. The buyers commit themselves to fulfil all the obligations and to order the weekly mass celebration.

These houses were in possession of Mateus Monteiro da Silva and his wife Isabel da Silva Tavares with the obligation through a "censo" to celebrate masses for the soul of Inês Perestrelo. This houses were purchased with the money that Domingos de Oliveira and his wife Isabel Nogueira left after their death, with the obligation to celebrate masses for their souls. This entail is obligated to the masses for the soul of Inês Perestrelo and to the pious obligations of Domingos de Oliveira and Isabel Nogueira's chapel. Preceded and followed by documents dated between 1669-05-26 and 1670-11-29.

Francisco and Frei Henrique de Noronha. This chapel shall serve as pantheon for her family and shall have an obligation of two annuals of masses and three masses at Christmas. She entails to it a public debt instrument in the Alfândega de Lisboa.

This deed of sale referes to the institutor's will that was written in the same day.

Deed of sale by which Maria de Spínola bought some houses in Lisboa and left them to her niece D. Maria and her husband Manuel Coelho. They were due to order the celebration of masses in the Monastery of São Domingos de Azeitão, and it should succeed in this chapel their children and grandchildren. If her niece died childless, it should succeed Manuel Coelho if he was still alive. They could sell these houses but with the obligation to incorporate others into this entail. The administrators accepted these obligations.

He wanted to incorporate this property into his father Fernando Vaz de Sequeira's chapel in order to pay its pious obligations. His father ordered the celebration of masses in the Chapel of Jesus in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição dos Freires. It should succeed in this obligation the eldest son of Simão Henriques and his heirs.

DOCUMENTO/DATA DE INSTITUIÇÃO: consta somente a escritura de doação (f. 3-6, de difícil leitura) feita a sua irmã D. Joana de Abreu, mulher de D. João Henriques, em 1540-07-06(?). Porém, uma informação do procurador do Resíduo, datada de Julho de 1791 (f. 75vº), refere que da doação a fl. 3 não consta a imposição da capela, pelo que solicitava a junção do testamento, o que não consta dos autos.
ENCARGOS (ANUAIS): três missas com seus responsos. Por sentença de 1818-12-14 (f. 76-102), as capelas administrativas pelo Visconde de Torre Bela são reduzidas à seguinte pensão: missa aos Domingos e dias santos (90 missas) celebrada por um capelão por 100.000 réis anuais; três missas de Natal por 2.400 réis; obras da capela do Carmo do Funchal conforme determinado pelo instituidor Manuel Martins Brandão; a capela de D. Isabel Bettencourt é reduzida a duas tochas para a Igreja de Câmara de Lobos e duas tochas para São Bernardino.
BENS VINCULADOS: não constam.

Capela de Pedro Fernandes de Andrade instituída em 1632-05-30 por "contrato partido do terso e obrigação" e doação de uma casa térrea sita no Lobo da Adega a Maria da Costa, filha de Gonçalo Fernandes, alfaiate. Encargo: duas missas anuais no dia da Vera Cruz, celebradas na sua capela das Chagas, na Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Luz.
Uma nora inscrita na folha de rosto do processo refere que a casa pertencente a esta capela está situada junto à ermida de Nossa Senhora do Livramento da Vila da Ponta do Sol.
Em Agosto de 1762 procede-se ao seu sequestro.
Administrador em 1838 (índice): Manuel Correia.
A última conta é tomada à revelia do administrador.

Contém o testamento de Maria da Costa, viúva de Cristóvão Giraltes, aprovado a 1697-12-09.

Jesus, Águeda de (flor. 1669)

DOCUMENTO/DATA DE INSTITUIÇÃO: doação (f. 2-6 v.º) feita por Maria Vaz ao padre António Afonso, beneficiado da igreja do Espírito Santo da Calheta, em 1577-09-12. Tabelião Francisco Homem Africano. Testemunhas presentes: João Paris Beliago, juiz ordinário da vila da Calheta; Francisco Paris, seu pai; António da Costa.
ENCARGOS (ANUAIS): três missas rezadas pelos Finados.
BENS VINCULADOS: casa sobradada com loja e «retretezinho» e horta na vila da Calheta, que a instituidora herdara do padre João Rebelo, de quem fora criada. Posse pelo herdeiro em 1577-09-12 (f. 5 v.º-6). Uma tomada de conta, datada de 1753-11-15 (f. 39 v.º), esclarece que esta casa se situava na «rua detras» e a horta na Ribeira, estando então arrendada a José de Sousa por 750 réis. Uma nota inscrita na folha de rosto, datada de 1657-07-08, refere que então o proprietário das casas era o capitão Pedro de Andrade, e nelas vivia Salvador Rodrigues “o Gato”, sapateiro.
SUCESSÃO: a instituidora herdara a referida casa na condição de «avendo as de vender ou testar que não seria senão ao dito Antonio Afonso seu herdeiro (de João Rebelo]»; após o falecimento do mencionado padre António Afonso, sucederia quem este «ordenar e houver por bem».
ADMINISTRADOR EM 1601-08-11 (f. 7), data da primeira quitação: Francisco de Andrade. Esta quitação diz respeito ainda às capelas de Margarida Gonçalves “a Tosalha” e João Rebelo.

Vaz, Maria (flor.1577)

Capela de Francisco Homem de Gouveia, escudeiro, e de sua mulher Isabel Afonso de Azevedo, instituída em 1529-08-04 por escritura de doação da terça da sua fazenda a seu filho Gaspar Homem com encargo de três missas semanais na Ermida dos Reis Magos, no Estreito da Calheta, por eles fundada, uma cantada em dia do seu orago com quatro clérigos e oferta de três alqueires de pão para os pobres, e ainda a obrigação de reparar e ornamentar a dita capela. O testamento de Isabel Afonso refere vários escravos.
Uma quitação de 1695 menciona o desaparecimento de quitações levadas pelos franceses quando saquearam a casa do administrador Diogo de Bettencourt Perestrelo, no Porto Santo.
Em 1779 procede-se ao sequestro de todas as propriedades do morgadio dos Reis Magos para edificação, reparação e paramentos necessários à capela, sendo o conserto orçado em seiscentos e sessenta e um mi réis.
Primeiro e último administradores: seu filho Gaspar Homem e D. Ana Perestrelo da Câmara.

DOCUMENTO/DATA DE INSTITUIÇÃO: escritura de doação feita em 1672-06-22, entre a instituidora e o dotado, o estudante e neto António da Câmara Leme, filho do tenente general Inácio da Câmara Leme e de D. Isabel de Castelo Branco. Tabelião: Francisco da Mota Borio. Traslado de 1694-03-06.
ENCARGOS (ANUAIS): seis missas celebradas na Sé do Funchal, três rezadas e três cantadas. Impõe também a obrigação de celebrar a missa nova por alma da doadora.
BENS DO VÍNCULO: vincula em morgado a terça dos bens, que impõe nas casas onde vive e outras junto à rua dos Moinhos. A verba declaratória, datada de 1837-02-20 (f. 27) refere que o prédio na rua dos Moinhos pertencente a este vínculo, avaliado em 1.836.000 réis, com a parte vinculada no valor de 946.500 réis, era propriedade de D. Luís da Câmara Leme. Por via da sub-rogação, a parte livre do prédio, pertencente a António d’Utra Corte Real, ficou vinculada a esta capela, aumentando assim o vínculo (nota à margem do testamento «teve augmento este prédio e esse augmento pertence hoje a outro vinculo como da verba(…)».
SUCESSÃO: nomeia o dotado António da Câmara Leme, para efeito de seu sustento e «estado de estudar e aprender em Coimbra pera ser sacerdote do habito de Sam Pedro». Por seu falecimento sucederia um dos seus irmãos à sua escolha; não havendo herdeiros da dita sua filha D. Isabel de Castelo Branco (mãe do dotado), o vínculo passaria para os filhos de D. Donation and chapel foundation deed by which António Correia Bettencourt and his wife D. Joana Henriques founded a chapel in the hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Boa Hora, that they ordered to build in their Quinta da Torre, in Câmara de Lobos. They donated vineyards and fruit trees to this hermitage in order to pay to the chaplain who would celebrate the masses. The couple would administrate this chapel until their death, and they would be succeeded by their eldest son and his descendants.

Donation deed by which Matias Gonçalves donates several properties, including salt pans, a vineyard and a pine forest, to António, son of Manuel Nunes and Luísa Martins, reserving the usufruct during his lifetime. The donation was made on condition that António became a cleric and fulfilled the donor's legacies. Otherwise, it would be for Maria, Antonio's sister. Among the legacies, he orders his grave in the church of São João Batista of Coruche, in the tomb of Leonor Gomes, his wife, as well as the fulfillment of charges. The next administrator must be the son of the previous one. Until António became a cleric, or Maria did not reach the age of majority, the administrator would be Luís Ferreira.

Donation deed by Pedro Eanes Campelo to Lourenço Campelo for his marriage with Filipa Guimarães. With this donation, Pedro Eanes Campelo established an entail that was to remain in the possession of Lourenço and his descendants, to be transmitted through the first-born sons, excluding clerics, illegitimate children and people who had committed lese-majeste crimes. The head of the entail was to be the estate of Barca, in São Romão da Ucha, Prado. A perpetual obligation was imposed to celebrate 10 annual masses in the church where Pedro Eanes Cameplo decided to be buried.

Deed of donation from Father Gonçalo de Barros, parish priest of Santa Eulália de Godinhaços. Gonçalo states that in 1630 he built a hermitage dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Conceição, in which he also placed two images of the Virgin. He outlined the properties that belonged to the chapel, which he had inherited from Briolanja Gonçalves. The chapel had the obligation of two annual masses, celebrated in December. The closest relative was to succeed and take over the administration. The deed of foundation was to be recorded in the "Registo Geral" of the Archdiocese of Braga.

Cristóvão was in China and sent 210.00 réis to institute a chapel under the invocation of Nossa Senhora da Salvação, with a weekly mass. Since the money was not sufficient to fulfill the institutor's will, António Fernandes bought and entailed more estates, in recognition of his uncle's good deeds.

Donation deed made by Francisco Vaz Morujo, his wife Isabel Vaz and Catarina Vaz Morujo, his sister, in which they donated some houses, lands and other properties to their son and nephew Manuel Vaz thereby ordering the foundation of an entail with a perpetual pious obligation of fifty masses celebrated every year as long as the world lasted in the church of S. Lourenço, in Portalegre, where their bodies should be buried. The only condition was that Manuel should become a clergyman within a year, administrating the entail during his lifetime and, after his death, he would appoint his sisters Catarina de Sena and Isabel das Montanhas, both of them nuns at Santa Clara's convent, to succeed him, and, after the death of Isabel or Catarina the last one alive would appoint a person to succeed on the administration.

ENCARGOS (ANUAIS): seis missas rezadas no convento de São Francisco, cinco por sua alma e uma pela do marido.
REDUÇÃO DE ENCARGOS: a sentença de redução, emitida em 1819-09-17 (f. 55 a 96), reduz as capelas administradas por D. Maria de Ornelas à pensão anual de 70.000 réis à Misericórdia do Funchal. Segue-se uns embargos a esta sentença, datados de 1826 (f. 111), da Misericórdia do Funchal e de Lisboa contra Aires de Ornelas e Vasconcelos.

Donation deed made in Arronches by Isabel Pavia de Sequeira in which she ordered the foundation of an entail composed of all her assets, henceforth donated to her nephew Pedro Barradas Zuzarte and his descendants after him with a perpetual obligation of fourty masses celebrated every year on the church of N. Sra. do Rosário of Arronches, where her body should be buried. If Pedro had more than one child, all of them would succeed on the administration, one after the other, and, if he had none, the administration would be handled to António Zuzarte, brother of the institutor with the same conditions. Donation deed made by cónego Rafael Gomes in which he donated two farms and twenty enslaved persons to Marina Gomes, a girl that he raised in his home, and thereby ordered the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of two sung masses in every year. He named his grandson Luís Fernandes da Vega to administrate this chapel until Marina married, and from there on, she and her legitimate descendants would administrate this chapel. If Marina died without children, the administration would be handled with the same conditions to Francisco, son of his niece Maria Vieira and capitão Manuel Ledo. The institutor disposed that if any of the slaves that were entailed to the chapel died or were sold out, they should be replaced in order to always maintain twenty of them serving.

Tomé de Lisboa, the houses she inherited from her husband, who had bequeathed them to her with an obligation of 10 annual masses in the church of Santo Estêvão de Alfama. She adds to this obligation 10 more masses for her own soul. After the death of João de Bivar, the houses shall pass to licenciado Paulo Rodrigues Pinto, brother of Guiomar Fernandes, if he is still living. After his death, they shall pass to his daughter, Isabel, and to her heirs. João de Bivar is present and accepts this donation.

The entail is composed of houses and an income of 2 000 réis. After the death of her son, the entail should be administered by a son or daughter he appoints and after that it should pass to the eldest sons or eventually to the eldest daughters, always being transmitted to the closest member of the family. If his generation comes to an end, the houses and their income must be delivered to the priests of the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa.
Isabel Ribeiro also donates to her son the remaining part of her husband’s third that he left her.

Donation deed by which D. Inês de Vasconcelos, D. João de Noronha's widow, donated houses in Lisboa to António Pais, prior da igreja de S. Lourenço, on the condition that he incorporates them in the dowry he shall give to one of his daughters. During the donor's life, he was obligated to give her, each year, a certain amount of wheat and olive oil. After her death, António Pais, his daughter and her successors would support, each year, the celebration of a mass for her soul in the church of S. Lourenço. António Pais accepted this deed.

Donation deed by which Afonso Esteves donates the estates he had on the outskirts of Évora and Vimieiro, which he received on the death of his father, to Maria Esteves, his mother, and to Lourenço Esteves and Mem Esteves, his brothers. After the death of his mother he was to be left to his brothers, and after the death of the first to the second. After the death of the second he was to remain with his eldest son. The administrators had to fulfill the determined charges, celebrated in the church of Santa Maria de Vimieiro. If any of his brothers wanted to establish a chapel in that church, the assets had to be attached to it.

Donation deed made by Francisco Afonso Chaves e Melo on behalf of Gonçalo Castanho de Mendonça on the occasion of his marriage with his niece Maria de Chaves Torres, in which he donated 40 alqueires of land in S. Miguel island that would compose an entail with a perpetual mass obligation of a weekly mass celebrated in memory of his soul. He appoints the future bride and husband as first administrators of the entail with the condition that they would appoint one of their children or, if they had none, the closest relative of Maria de Chaves Torres, preferably a male one.

Donation deed

Donation deed of the third part of André Álvares Manuel's assets to Isabel Luís, his wife, after his death. Among these assets was the vegetable garden of the Chafariz, with its ferregials. After her death, he was to be left to Tomé Álvares, their son, who was to choose one of his daughters to succeed him. The donation is made in the form of a chapel, and the charges must be fulfilled in the church of Nossa Senhora do Bispo, in Montemor-o-Novo. He administered a chapel instituted by Bárbara André, to which an olive grove was attached, located on the site of Carregal, nominating Tomé Álvares, his son, to succeed him in that administration.

Donation deed by which Simoa Fernandes donated to Manuel Ferreira, mestre alfaiate, nephew of her son João Rodrigues, all the immovable goods she inherited from her deceased son. He was due to order the celebration of masses for her soul, to give 30 000 réis for her subsistence during her life and to give 30 000 réis for her nieces to get married. She also donated to her godson João Antunes, sapateiro, five lands in Sintra that she inherited from her husband Domingos Jorge with the obligation to order the celebration of masses for her soul.

Donation deed by which Maria Antunes da Cunha, called the Cavaleira, donates various assets to João Pires, her nephew, and to his descendants, with the obligation to cultivate and enjoy them and to pay, annually, 1.000 reais to the mordomos and confrades of Nossa Senhora da Graça, for the celebration of masses and other pious charges.

Guiomar Correia dá a seu criado Sebastião Mendes, marido de Maria de Lima, celebrada em 1592-07-30, Câmara de Lobos. Notário António Garcia, do lugar de Câmara de Lobos.
ENCARGOS (ANUAIS): mil réis à Confraria dos Fiéis de Deus de Câmara de Lobos e mil réis à mesma confraria dos mosteiro de São Bernardino destinados a cinco missas; quinhentos réis (deduzidos dos dois mil réis) à escrava Leonor, em sua vida. Por sentença de 1818-12-14 (f. 191 a 231) as capelas administradas pelo Visconde de Torre Bela são reduzidas à seguinte pensão: missa aos Domingos e dias santos (90 missas) celebrada por um capelão por 100.000 réis anuais; três missas de Natal por 2.400 réis; obras da capela do Carmo do Funchal conforme determinado pelo instituidor Manuel Martins Brandão; a capela de D. O autor contrapõe que, além das quatro pipas de vinho embarcadas num navio, no valor de cerca de 40.000 réis, lhe dera mais meio moio de biscoitos e “outros momos e cousas pera sua matolagem e vestido, isto por conta do legado; acrescenta que a mulher, depois que o réu regressou do Brasil, lhe dera mais três pipas de vinho em pagamento dos quatro anos do seu serviço.

Pedro de Castilho, Bispo de Leiria, donates lands (casais) in Golegã to his nephew, Diogo de Castilho, with the obligation of celebrating masses for the souls of Pedro's parents in the altar of S. João Baptista of the Mosteiro de Santa Cruz of Coimbra. Diogo de Castilho gives his consent to this donation.

Donation deed of Maria Luís giving to Rui Godinho and his heirs the farm of Ressaio with the obligation of ordering the celebration of 12 masses each year in the convent of São Francisco in Santarém. If Rui Godinho dies without any child, his brother will succeed him or the closest relative of the Godinho's family. The convent must have a copy of this deed.

Donation deed by António Gonçalves da Câmara to D. João Henriques and D. Joana, his wife, of the properties he inherit after the death of his wife, D. Isabel de Abreu, located in S. Vicente, in the outskirts of Machico, in Madeira island, with the pious obligation of three perpetual masses, celebrated in S. Vicente, in All Souls' Day. D. João Henriques and D. Joana should present a certificate of the masses celebration to António Gonçalves da Câmara or to the successor in the administration of the chapel founded by D. Isabel de Abreu. The couple was present and accepted this donation.

Donation deed by mestre Brás de Azambuja, prior of Vila Boim, of his properties, located in Vila Boim, and movables to D. Leonor Henriques, daughter of D. Miguel da Silva, founding an entail with masses in his chapel of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, in the same village. If D. Leonor does not have offspring, he appoints her brother, D. Álvaro da Silva, as her successor. Both D. Isabel and D. Álvaro were present and accepted this donation.

Donation deed by which Doutor Rui Gomes de Alvarenga, do Conselho do Rei, Chanceler-mor, and D. Mécia de Melo, his wife, donated properties in Alenquer ("casal da Pipa") and lands (estins) in Salvaterra de Magos to the convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, asking its friars to celebrate a weekly mass for their souls in perpetuity over their graves. The friars would also be responsible for repairing the railings that would protect their graves. The provincial of the order, the prior and friars of the convent accepted the terms of this deed.

Donation deed by which D. Maria Teixeira, Domingos Lopes Barreto's wife, donates her farmstead (quinta) of Boavista da Mealhada, on the outskirts of Loures, to João Nunes Pais, Moço da Câmara do Rei, with the obligation of celebrating masses in a church to be chosen in her will. This donation should only be made on the condition that João pays off all the debts that D. Maria inherited from her father, her first and second husbands. After João's death, the entail should be transmitted to his wife, Guiomar Barradas, who must be succeeded by one of their children.

Donation deed by which Inês Afonso, Afonso da Várzea's widow, donates houses in Lisboa to Maria Eanes, her late husband's niece, obligating her and her successors to celebrate annual masses for her soul in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Palma of Lisboa. After Maria Eanes' death, the entail should be inherited by her eldest son. Followed by an acórdão em relação and a detailed description of the chapel's assets.

Donation deed by which Belchior Dias, priest in São Mamede de Lindoso, decided to donate his estates to his daughter Ana, which he had with a single woman called Isabel. The property was to be incorporated into an entail so that it could never be divided. Its income was to support the hermitage of São Gonçalo, previously built by Belchior Dias. The entail was to be owned by his daughter and passed on to her descendants or to the closest relative of Belchior Dias.

Donation deed, made in Arronches, in which Isabel Bernardes took a rent worth three moios of wheat she owned in an estate named Herdade da Carneira and donated it to her nephew António Bernardes as an entail with a perpetual obligation of twenty six masses celebrated every year, from which six would be sung. She also disposed that all administrators should distribute three alqueires of wheat in All Soul's Day among the poor people. After António's death, the succession should always continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir, and if he had no children or his bloodline became extinguished, the administration would be handled to the Misericórdia of Arronches.

Dowry deed made by Inês Rombo Tavares, in which she endowed her nephew Estêvão Vaz Delicado with all her assets, reserving only 100.000 réis to herself during her lifetime, and thereby ordered the foundation of an entail that would be administrated by Estêvão himself during his lifetime with the perpetual pious obligation of two masses celebrated every year, and, before his death, Estêvão would appoint one of his sons or daughters to succeed him with the same conditions. All administrators would be obliged to annex a quarter of their own reserved portions to the entail.

Donation deed in which Beatriz Gonçalves endowed her grandson Manuel Gonçalves with some houses, a vineyard and an orchard in order to sustain his studies and with the condition that he would become a clergyman, and, after his death, those properties should be transmitted to Beatriz Gonçalves, granddaughter of the institutor, thereby constituting an entail with a perpetual pious obligation of one hundred masses celebrated every year, but only during the first administrator's life, and, from there on, his successors would only be obliged to celebrate twelve masses celebrated every year. Beatriz would be succeeded by her descendants, or, if her lineage became extinguished, the administration would be handled to the closest relative.

Donation deed by which padre José de Moura de Brito donates houses in Almada, a farmstead (quinta) in Vale de Mourelos, in Almada, and a vineyard in Vale de Marinhos, in the outskirts of Caparica, to his cousin, José Velho Mascarenhas, António de Almeida de Eça's son, instituting the obligation of celebrating annual masses for his soul in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. After the death of the entail's first administrator, it would pass to his eldest male son. The institutor asks his heir to bury his mortal remains in the referred church, in the grave where already lied his brother, António Rebelo de Moura.

Donation deed by which Margarida Dinis donates to Martinho Fialho and his wife, Margarida Fernandes, two vineyards, located on Caminho de Montemor, with a perpetual pious obligation of two masses celebrated every year in the monastery of São Francisco of Évora. After their death, it should be administered by the son or daughter they chose. Martinho Fialho, also in name of his wife, accepts the donation and agrees with its conditions.

Manuel is obligated to celebrate annual masses for the souls of Luis and those of his parents and grandparents, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. After Manuel's death, the entail should be administered by his eldest son.

Donation deed by which Francisca Brás, Gonçalo Fernandes' wife, donates 1 000 cruzados to his daughter, Catarina, part of which is destined to become her dowry. Catarina must use half of that sum of money to buy properties, whose revenues shall support the celebration of an annual mass for her stepmother's soul. Subsequently, the entail should be inherited by Catarina's descendants. The donor also appoints her husband to be the executor of her will.

Donation deed by which Inês Lopes, Pedro João's widow, donates lands in Alenquer to her cousin, Maria Jorge, Hilário da Paz and Bárbara Jorge's daughter, obligating her to support the celebration of 18 annual masses in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. The entail should pass to Maria Jorge's descendants. If she does not marry and dies childless, it would be transmitted to her brother, Matias da Lapa.
Inês Lopes mentions that those lands linked to that pious obligation were bequeathed to her by Isabel Gonçalves, her aunt.

Donation deed by which Isabel Gil confirmed the donation of houses in Lisboa and of a farmstead (quinta) in Sarilhos Grandes, Montijo, she had done to Pedro de Freitas and her granddaughter, Isabel da Costa, deciding that the pious obligation associated to those houses had to be attached instead to the farmstead. She declared that at the time she donated those properties to that couple, her granddaughter had not yet been legitimized by her father, António da Costa, which could turn the donation unlawful. It was approved by Pedro de Freitas and Isabel da Costa.
