Will chart by which Maria Leitão, Ana Trigueiros, Margarida Trigueiros and Antónia Trigueiros, João Leitão and Leonor Trigueiros' daughters, stated that, until the death of the last of them, the ones who survived would administrate their patrimony. After their demise, their estate would be passed to Maria de Barros, their niece, António Trigueiros' wife, with the obligation that her and her descendants supported the celebration of 16 annual masses in the convent of Santo António of Varatojo, where the testators' remains would be buried. This pious obligation would be perpetually associated to the properties in A dos Cunhados, Torres Vedras, which could not never be sold or exchanged. Maria de Barros and António Trigueiros were allowed, during their lifetime, to do whatever they wanted with the majority of the inherited properties. At the time of their deaths, the remaining assets would be incorporated in the entail containing the lands in A dos Cunhados. If Maria de Barros died without appointing a successor, the entail would be passed to her husband and his heirs. Followed by declarations issued on 1580-11-01 and an approval deed issued on 1580-11-02.

Will chart by which Bento Gonçalves de Sequeira, Cavaleiro da Casa do Rei, bequeathed the third part of his assets, including his farmstead (quinta) of Fonte Coberta, to his son, Belchior de Burgos, contador, obligating him and his descendants to give, each year, 4 500 réis to the church of Nossa Senhora dos Mártires of Lisboa to support the celebration of annual masses for his soul. After his death, the entail would be inherited by his eldest son. He also left him his post of Escrivão das Fianças. The testator declared that his body had to be buried alongside the remains of his wife, Helena de Burgos, and of his brother-in-law, Pedro de Burgos, in that church. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1568-07-26.

Will chart by which Catarina Vaz, wife of Paio Lourenço, expresses her wish to be buried in the church of S. Nicolau of Santarém. She bequeaths António Álvares and his wife, Margarida Lourenço, and their heirs, her properties in Monsaraz with an obligation of 60 annual masses for her soul, 30 in the church of São Nicolau and the other 30 in the church of Santa Iria of Santarém, and other pious obligations.

Will chart made by Pedro Alves, homem que vivia de sua fazenda, and his wife, Inês Brás. The former left the third part of his assets, including vineyards and lands in Rossais to his wife, ordering her to fulfil various legacies. After the death of his wife, that estate should be delivered to his niece, Vitória do Rego, with the obligation of supporting the celebration of 56 annual masses for his soul in the church of S. João Batista of Lumiar. If those assets were sold, the pious obligation had to go with them.
The testators left lands in Albogas to Maria Brás, Inês' sister, with the obligation of celebrating 2 masses, every year, for their souls in the church of Almargem do Bispo.
They also left a rent (foro) in a vineyard to João Gonçalves, their brother-in-law, and his wife, obligating them to celebrate an annual mass for their souls in an unidentified church. After their deaths, the entail would be inherited by their daughter, Maria.
Inês Brás determined that, after the death of her husband, all her assets had to be delivered to her nephew, Duarte, who would be responsible for celebrating, each year, 57 masses in the church of S. João Batista. If he died before receiving that inheritance, it would pass to Santos, another nephew of Inês Brás.
The testators declared that their bodies would be buried in the church of S. João Batista of Lumiar. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1569-08-30.

Will chart by which Jerónimo de Quintanilha, comendador da Ordem de Cristo, expresses his wish to be buried in the convent of Capuchos da Madre de Deus, near the archbishop D. Gaspar, his uncle. He designates his sister, Cosma Rodrigues de Quintanilha, as administrator of the chapel of Isabel Afonso, of which he was the current administrator by appointment from his father, João de Quintanilha. If Cosma Rodrigues dies before him, or without successors, the chapel shall pass to Maria Duarte, daughter of their sister Beatriz de Quintanilha. He also bequeaths her an orchard in Caspolima, Oeiras, to which he entails an obligation of three annual masses in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa, for his and his parents' souls. After her death, it shall pass to the person whom she appoints as heir of the chapel of Isabel Afonso, so the two obligations are always together.
He bequeaths his nephew, Jerónimo Quintanilha, who lives in S. Miguel, or his sister, 18 000 serafins or pardaus, under condition that he moves to Lisboa with his family and buys properties to entail to an obligation of four annual masses in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade.

Will chart by which Rodrigo Homem, clérigo de missa, cura da igreja de S. José de Lisboa, designates his brother, João Pereira, as his universal heir, under the condition that he builds him an hermitage dedicated to S. Gens in his farmstead of the same name, where he wishes to be buried, with the obligation of four annual masses. He bequeaths him and his descendants all of his properties as an entail. If his brother doesn't have descendants, the administration will pass to the Misericórdia of Ourém.

Will chart by which padre António de Andrade, sacerdote de missas, expresses his wish to be buried in the church of Santa Comba Dão, in the grave of his mother, Antónia de Andrade. He appoints his nephew, licenciado Manuel de Andrade de Carvalho, prior do couto do mosteiro, as administrator of Maria Gonçalves' chapel, which he possessed, composed of farmlands in Santa Comba Dão. He also bequeaths him some vineyards and houses in Santa Comba Dão with an obligation of five annual masses in the church of that town. He bequeaths his niece, Antónia de Andrade, properties in Ribeira Dão, with the obligation of ordering one annual mass for his soul. He also bequeaths his other niece, Maria de Andrade, a vineyard and orchard which belonged to another chapel he possessed, and annexes to this chapel his vineyards in Ribeira Dão. He bequeaths Maria and Antónia de Andrade another chapel, which had an obligation of two and a half annual masses, adding an obligation of two more masses to it. All of these properties shall pass to the descendants of his heirs.

Will chart by which Joana Taveira, widow of Lopo da Fonseca, Fidalgo da Casa do Rei, left a rent of 35 alqueires of wheat taken from a property (casal) in Alcântara to the convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça of Lisboa, with the obligation that its friars celebrated annual masses for her soul and for the soul of her late husband. She determined that her body had to be buried in that convent, inside the grave of her husband. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1522-09-01.

Will chart of João Borges de Morais. He was one of the administrators of the entail instituted in 1674, appointing António Borges de Morais, his son, to succeed him.

Will chart of Arcângela de São Miguel, ordering her burial in the chancel of the convent of Santo António of Beja. Together with Estêvão Brandão de Lima, her husband, they were patrons of that convent, by means of a contract signed with the religious, being able to appoint whoever they wanted to succeed them. Her husband could appoint an administrator, but it was her wish that, after his death, the administration would fall to the convent's síndico. She entails assets to the fulfillment of charges.

Will chart made by Lourenço Martinho in which he ordered the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year. He appointed his wife Senhorinha Afonso and his daughter Maria Martins as executors. If his wife remarried, the administration would pass to his son-in-law Afonso de Freitas.

Will chart of priest Francisco Fernandes de Aguiar, ordering his grave in the church of São Julião of Setúbal. He leaves all his assets, once the legacies are fulfilled, to João de Aguiar, son of Doutor António de Aguiar de Carvalho, his cousin, with the obligation to be a cleric of the habit of São Pedro or a freire of the Order of Santiago. If he didn't accept it, he would stay with the eldest, and if he didn't accept, his closest relative would accept the express conditions. In case of extinction of the lineage, he would stay for the convent of Santíssima Trindade of Setúbal.

Will chart of licenciado João Fernandes founding a chapel in the church of Couto de Cadima, Montemor-o-Velho, where he will be buried in a family grave, appointing for its administrator his sister Maria de Carvalho. She must build the chapel.

Will chart made by Jerónimo Henriques da Veiga in which he ordered his burial in the main chapel of the Santo Adrião church, in Póvoa de Santo Adrião. He orders the transfer of the bones of his parents, brothers, wife and children, all buried in the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus, to the main chapel of the aforementioned church. He also ordered the foundation of a "morgado", entailing all his goods for the fulfilment of charges, celebrated in that church. He appoints António, son of João Batista da Fonseca and D. Clara de Oliveira, his godson, to be the first administrator. After his death, he shall be succeeded by his eldest son. The administrators were obliged to reside in the Kingdom.

Will chart of Henrique Fernandes Pacheco. He entails a third of his assets to fulfill charges. According to the dowry deed he had previously given for the marriage of André Coelho Martins Fagundes to D. Maria Pacheco, his daughter, it was to these that a third of his property belonged, after his death.

Will chart of Pedro Mendes Carrilho. He instituted a chapel or entail, entailing assets for the fulfillment of charges. He appoints Ana Mendes, his wife, the first administrator, who was to succeed Catarina Mendes, his niece and then her eldest male son.
An addition follows, dated 1667-11-27.

Will chart of priest António Vaz Figueiredo. He orders his grave in the church of Nossa Senhora da Purificação, in front of Santo André. He appoints Pedro Lopes, Maria Jorge, his wife, and Inês Vicente, mother of Pedro Lopes, his executors and heirs of all his assets, with the charge of completing the work of his hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Paciência. The legacy is made in the form of a chapel, establishing the fulfillment of pious charges. The last of the three to die was to appoint the next administrator from among his generation, whether lay or ecclesiastical. It contains the list of entailed assets.

Will chart of Mateus Colaço. Establishes a chapel, entailing assets to fulfill charges, celebrated on the main altar of the church of Santa Maria da Graça of Setúbal. He appoints priest Manuel Mourato and Paulo de Morais, his executors, the first administrators, and it is up to them to appoint the successors.

Will chart made by Henrique de Sousa and his wife Beatriz de Melo by which they ordered the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of two masses celebrated every week. They appointed Diogo de Sousa and Isabel de Melo to be the first administrators during their lifetime, with the condition that they marry. After their death, they shall be succeeded by their first-born son and from there on the succession shall continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.

Will by which Diogo Gonçalves do Prado, Guiomar Machado's husband, founded an entail, with the pious obligation of one daily mass to be celebrated in the chapel of Trindade, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. He incorporated various houses he had in Lisboa, a property (casal) in its outskirts, and the third of his and his wife's assets in the mentioned entail. He appointed his son, Diogo, as its first administrator, after whose death he ought to be succeeded by his male first born son. If Diogo died childless, the entail was bequeathed to Fernando de Braga, who then had the responsibility of appointing the next administrator. He chose to be buried in the aforementioned chapel, in the grave where lied his brother, João Gonçalves de Prado. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1472-06-01, and an opening deed issued on 1474-06-15.

She entails several real estate to fulfill the charges, celebrated in the church of the monastery of São Francisco. The masses should be celebrated by priests from the monastery. She appoints Belchior de Franca, her nephew, as administrator and he should appoint a son to succeed him.
It also has the respective opening deed of a will (dated 1580-03-10) and approval deed (1580-02-05).

Will chart by which José Caires established an entail, incorporating assets for the fulfillment of the pious charges in the parish of Nossa Senhora do Calhau, in Funchal. He designated his brother Luís Caires to be the first administrator, and it should succeed him José, his son, and nephew and godson of the institutor.

Will chart of Urraca da Serra, appointing António de Gouveia, her husband, as her heir. After her death, he was to establish a chapel with all her assets and all that her husband wanted to attach to it. It would be the husband who would determine the charges entered into.

Will chart of Violante Mendes founding two chapels, one for her brother, Fernando Caldeira, and his descendants with the obligation to celebrate 25 masses in the chapel of the monastery of S. Domingos of Elvas, and the other for her nephew, Afonso Façanha, and his descendants with the obligation to celebrate 15 masses in the same chapel.
Will confirmed in 1481-09-12 and opened in 1481-09-16.

Will chart by which Afonso Fialho established an entail, incorporating some immovable goods with the obligation to celebrate masses in the Monastery of S. Francisco de Lisboa. He designated his wife Clara de Aguiar to be its first administrator, and his sister Maria Rodrigues to succeed after her death.

Will chart by which Doutor Simão Monteiro de Leiria expresses his wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, in the chapel of Afonso Fialho, of which he is the administrator. He establishes an entail with his properties, with an obligation of 50 annual masses for his soul in that convent. This entail shall be attached to the entail founded by Afonso Fialho. He appoints his nephew, also called Simão Monteiro de Leiria, as the heir of his entail, and mentions that there should be a judgment to decide who shall have the administration of Afonso Fialho's entail: his sister, D. Margarida, or his nephew, Simão. He also establishes that his sister shall not inherit his properties.
Followed by approval deed, of the same date, and opening deed, dated 1609-01-04.

Will chart by which Álvaro Esteves, Escudeiro do Rei, and Maria Álvares, his wife, bequeath houses in Lisboa to Gonçalo Mendes Monteiro, Estêvão Gomes and their wives, Catarina Álvares and Inês Gomes, nieces of the testators, obligating them to lease the properties and to use its revenues to support the celebration of annual masses in the church of S. Nicolau of that city. Those houses were already linked to a pious obligation instituted by António Ximenes in the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, which should be fulfiled by the entail's future administrators. They declare that their remains should be buried inside that church. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1505-12-13 and an opening deed issued on 1505-12-23.

Will chart of Brás Afonso Correia bequeathing all his real estate to Jorge, son of Rui de Figueiredo, with the pious obligation of the described masses, celebrated in the church of S. Tomé, in Lisbon.
Will approved in 1520-09-06.

Will chart by which António Durães, mercador de vinho, expresses his wish to be buried in the cathedral of Lisboa, with the obligation of an annual mass. He orders his executors, João Durães and Lourenço Martins, to buy a position with a revenue of 10 pounds, and that masses be prayed for his soul and the soul of the children he had with Inês Domingues.
Followed by two codicils. Only the second one refers to the chapel.

Will chart of Álvaro de Ornelas and Constança de Mendonça, his wife, founding an entail with their available portions, made up by properties in Caniço, in Madeira island, and appointing Mem de Ornelas, their eldest son, as their successor and heir.
Will approved in 1499-08-31.

Will chart by which António Metela and Antónia Colaça, his wife, wanted to be buried in the Church of São Sebastião, in Cernache do Bonjardim. They founded an entail with pious obligations, and appointed their son, Miguel Metela, as their successor. Will approved in 1599-08-04 and opened in 1607-04-26.

Will chart of Lopo Mendes do Rio and Leonor Dias, his wife, founding an entail and a chapel in the monastery of S. Domingos of Benfica with their available portions and appointing their son, António Mendes do Rio, as their successor.
Will approved in 1501-04-06.

Will chart by which Pedro Afonso Leitão, Cavaleiro da Ordem de Santiago, bequeaths the third part of his assets, including lands in Coruche ("Casal da Figueira"), to his wife, Inês França, with the obligation of supporting the celebration of annual masses for his soul in the chapel of Santa Maria of the church of S. Julião of Lisboa. After his wife's death, the entail would be inherited by their son, Jorge Leitão. The testator declares that his body should be buried inside that chapel, where lie the remains of his parents-in-law, João Francisco and Catarina de França. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1502-01-18 and an opening deed issued on 1508-08-29.

Will chart of Doutor Belchior Dias Preto, ordering his burial in the chancel of the church of São Jorge of Lisboa, where was D. Ana de Negreiros, his wife. His wife had established an entail, with a third of her assets, leaving half to Lourenço Dias Preto, his son, and the other to her husband, if he also established an entail. Thus, it also establishes an entail with all its real estate, appointing Lourenço Dias Preto, his son, first administrator.

Will chart by which Bento Pacheco da Mota, capitão and sargento-mor of Ribeira Grande, wanted to be buried in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Estrela, in his grandfather's grave. He bequeathed his available portion to his son, Paulo Pacheco, with the pious obligation of a perpetual chapel, half of it for his soul and the other half for his wife's, Maria da Rocha, soul. He also bequeathed to his daughter, Isabel de São João, professa in the monastery of Santo André of Vila Franca do Campo, 13 alqueires and a half of land, that was bequeathed to him by his aunt, Isabel Correia, with the pious obligation of half of a chapel. He also bequeathed these alqueires to his daughter with the pious obligation a chapel of masses, half of it for the soul of his aunt, the first institutor, and the other half for his soul. After the death of her daughter, the 13 alqueires and a half of land will return to his available portion's successor. Will approved in 1668-09-11.

Will chart made by Catarina Afonso in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of an entail with a perpetual mass obligation of twelve masses celebrated every year in the church of Nossa Senhora, in Ribeira Grande, as long as the world lasted. She named her nephew Pedro Jorge and her daughter Ana Gonçalves and their descendants to administrate it.

Will chart through which Henrique Leme establishes a chapel in the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, appointing Ana Leme, his sister, to be its first administrator. He orders his sister to buy properties to incorporate in that entail, using the profit of the sale of his patrimony, after the fulfilment of the legacies he left to various persons. He chooses to be buried in the altar of Nossa Senhora do Rosário, in the church of that convent.

Will chart of António de Faria in which he ordered, among several other dispositions, the foundation of an entail in Vila da Lagoa with a perpetual obligation of one mass celebrated in every week as long as the world lasted. He named his nephew António Lopes de Faria as first administrator and one of his children after him, continuing the succession by appointment. He recomended the administrator to have a very special care with his slaves.

Will chart of Pedro Esteves Barbas, ordering his burial in the church of São Martinho of Sintra, where he establishes a chapel. He appoints frei Martinho and Constança Gonçalves, his niece, his executors, to administer it.
It is in an exemplification, inserted in a certificate (dated 1624-03-30).

Will chart of António Fernandes, o cego, founding a chapel in the church of Santa Maria in Tavira, where he wants to be buried. He appoints Gaspar Gonçalves, tabelião in Tavira, for his executor, and orders him to make the inventory of his properties. He doesn't appoint an administrator to the chapel.

Will chart of Nuno Martins Segurado. He leaves the Cruzeiro de Alagoa's farm, on the outskirts of Arruda dos Vinhos, and several other assets, to Helena Martins Segurado, his daughter, with associated charges. He leaves the Lagoa's farm, and several other assets, to João Martins Segurado, his son, with associated charges.

Will chart by which Isabel Dias de Vilalobos established an entail, incorporating some assets for the fulfillment of the charges in the Altar da Cruz in the Church of Salvador, in Montemor-o-Novo. She designated her brother Custódio de Vilalobos to be its first administrator, succeeding him his son Custódio de Vilalobos.

Will chart by which Diogo Mendes confirmed the institution of the chapel and the appointment of his son António Mendes Farto as the first administrator. Contrary to what was previously determined, the administrator could choose the priest he wanted for the celebration of the masses.

Will chart by which António da Rocha wanted to be buried in the Church of Santa Maria Madalena of Turcifal. He was the administrator of the assets left by his brother Estêvão da Rocha de Barros and was due to order the celebration of masses on the altar of São Sebastião in that church. He designated João da Fonseca, son of Jorge Tagarro, to be the administrator of the chapel, on the condition that he should married with Margarida Pereira da Rocha, daughter of Pedro da Rocha. Their children should succeed in the administration.

Will chart by which Beatriz Lopes established an entail, incorporating her assets for the fulfillment of the charges. She designated Diogo Gomes, nephew of Pedro Aires, her late husband, to be her heir and the chapel's first administrator. The closest relative of Pedro Aires should succeed him.

Will chart by which Isabel Vaz established a chapel in the church of the Monastery of São Francisco de Montemor-o-Novo, where she ordered to be buried. She designated her second husband Diogo de Évora to be her last will executor and its first administrator.

Will chart by which João Afonso founded a chapel, incorporating assets to fulfill charges. The administrator was due to order the celebration of masses in the church of São Mateus de Erra, on the outskirts of Santarém. He entails a third of his assets, after the legacies have been fulfilled, to the entail instituted by Escobar de Lira Freire, his uncle, for the fulfillment of charges. The administration would fall to D. Francisca Freire, his daughter, if she was a nun, during her lifetime. After her death, it would pass to Luís Freire Pereira, his brother.

Will chart by which Pedro Eanes ordered to be buried in his chapel of Jesus, in the church of Santa Maria dos Anjos of Água de Pau. He incorporated the third part of his assets for the fulfillment of the pious charges celebrated in that chapel. He designated his wife Catarina Luís to be its first administrator. Their eldest son should succeed her and then their second and third son. After the death of all the children, the administration would pass to the first grandchild of the first son, following the same order as the children.

Will chart of Manuel Rodrigues, ordering his grave in the mother church of Torrão, where he established a chapel in which his parents and grandparents were buried. He orders the sale of his assets to fulfill legacies and entails assets to fulfill the chapel's charges, specifying the way he wanted it ornamented. He appoints João Cardim, his nephew, as the first administrator, having to be ordained a priest so that he could also be a chaplain, being there administered by Lourenço Cardim, brother of the founder and his executor. The next administrator must be his mother's closest relative who was a clergyman. If there was no cleric in the family, the parish priest, the judge and the provedor of Misericórdia should choose a priest who would administer it.

Manuel Fernandes and Bartolomeu Fernandes, their sons, were due to order the celebration of masses and, in their absence, these charges should rely on their other sons Fernando and Sebastião. After their death, it should succeed their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Will chart by which Gabriel Gonçalves wanted to be buried in the church of the convent of São Francisco de Évora. He established a chapel, incorporating three properties for the fulfillment of charges, celebrated in the church of Santo Antão de Évora. He designated his sister Maior de Azevedo to be its first administrator and, after her death, it should succeed his sister Branca Lopes. After her death, the administrator should belong to their cousin Gabriel Gonçalves' line.

Will chart by which Afonso Lourenço and his wife Luzia Esteves established an entail in the mother church of Vila de São Sebastião. They designated their daughter Marquesa Gonçalves to be their last will executor and the entail's first administrator.

Will chart by which Sebastião Lopes Tintureiro established an entail, incorporating some assets to fulfill the pious charges in the church of São Bartolomeu de Tadim. He designated his relative Manuel Álvares Pinto, and the priest Rodrigo de Quintãs to be its first administrators. The administrator must be a clergyman of the institutor's lineage.

Will chart of priest João Mendes, establishing a chapel in the church of Santa Maria do Bispo de Montemor-o-Novo, where he wanted to be buried. He designated João Rodrigues to be its first administrator and, after his death, he chose João to succeed in this entail.

Will chart by which Heitor Henriques Sacoto and his wife Joana Henriques founded a chapel in the Hermitage of the farm of Santa Cruz da Vermoeira, in Torres Vedras. They entailed assets to fulfill the pious charges and the surviving spouse should nominate the administrator.

Will chart by which Domingos Fernandes Homem wanted to be buried in the Church of São João Batista de Quintela. He founded a chapel located in that church, incorporating several assets in order to fulfill the charges. He designated his daughter Catarina Fernandes to be its first administrator, who was responsible for appointing the successor that should be descendant of the institutor.

Will chart by which Mateus Vieira established an entail, incorporating a farm in Pero Moniz for the fulfillment of the pious charges in Church of São João Baptista de Pero Moniz, in Cadaval. He designated Leonor da Vieira to be the first administrator and her eldest son should succeed her.

Will chart by which Afonso Mendes Pinto wanted to be buried in the convent of São Francisco, in Funchal. He left all his movable and immovable property to his niece Branca Teixeira and to her husband Tristão Fernandes, with the obligation to fulfil some pious obligations. After their death, it should succeed their son Afonso Mendes and, after his death, his eldest son.

Will chart of Tomé Rodrigues, ordering his grave in the monastery of São Domingos of Lisboa. Institutes an entail, entailing some houses in Lisbon, next to the door of São Vicente da Mouraria, to fulfill the charges, celebrated in that monastery. He appoints Diogo Rodrigues, his son, first administrator. After his death, he must belong to his closest relative, who was male.

Will chart by which Doutor António Francisco de Varejão established an entail with two chaplains, to increase the number of beneficiados of the Collegiate of Freixo de Espada à Cinta. He designated his nephew Sebastião Alves Varejão to be its first administrator and, after his death, his eldest son. This entail is composed of "casais" on the outskirts of Vila Nova da Cerveira and houses in "Campo da Vinha".

Will chart by which Francisco Silvestre wanted to be buried in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Monte do Carmo de Lisboa. He established a chapel, incorporating some houses located in Lisboa, next to Nossa Senhora da Palma. He designated his son Diogo Silvestre to be its first administrator.

Will chart by Briolanja de Lemos, ordering her grave in the convent of São Domingos of Lisboa, in the tomb of Maria de Alverca, or in the convent of São Francisco of Lisboa, in case the friars of São Domingos did not accept it. She appoints Luís Alvares, her compadre, and Maria Francisca, his wife, her universal heirs. She entails some houses, located in Lisboa, on Rua dos Escudeiros, to fulfill charges. She appoints her heirs as administrators.

Will chart by which António Cordovil institutes an entail, by entailing assets for the fulfillment of pious charges. He appoints Francisco Cordovil, his legitimate son, as its first administrator. He chose to be buried in the grave where lied his sister, Maria Cordovil, in the chapel of Jesus of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa.

Will chart by which Bárbara de Torres, wife of Pedro Homem, expresses her wish to be buried in the cathedral of Lisboa, in her grandfather's grave. She bequeaths a third of her properties, with charges, to her son or daughter, with whom she is pregnant. During his minority, it would be managed by André Fernandes, father of the institutor. If her child died childless, it would be given to the closest relative of the institutor, on her father's side.

Will chart by which João Dinis established an entail, incorporating assets to fulfill the charges. He designated his son Miguel to be its first administrator.

Will chart of Cosme de Oliveira, by which he orders his grave in the chapel of Nossa Senhora de Belém, the sale of all his assets to fulfill the legacies, and the purchase of a farm with what was left over, to be entailed to the celebration of charges in that same church. He appointed his will executor as first administrator and Estêvão, his son, after the death of first.
In addition, he establishes another chapel, by entailing some houses, located in Lisbon, outside the gates of Santo Antão, for the fulfillment of charges celebrated in the church of São Jorge, to be administrated by Maria das Virtudes, his sister. After her death, these chapels should be administrated by Maria, daughter of the institutor, and then to her eldest son or daughter.
He appoints Maria das Virtudes, his sister, and Catarina Valente, his wife, as executors of his will.

Will chart of João Baquar, ordering his grave in front of the altar of São João, in the church of Santo António. He entails his real estate assets in an entail and appoints Gil Vicente as the first administrator. His eldest son was to succeed him, excluding women. The account of the administration mentions that this entail is composed of houses, "marinhas", olive groves, orchard and vineyards near to this church.

Will chart of Ana Galvão de Abreu, ordering her grave in the convent of São Francisco of Lisboa, in the tomb of Maria de Abreu, her sister. She institutes an entail, entailing a farm (quinta) in São João da Talha, with charges, for which she appoints Beatriz Pais. After her death, her eldest son should succeed her.
She also institutes an entail, entailing a farm (quinta) in Bulhão, in Alvalade o Grande, and two houses on the street of Saco, for which she appoints D. Antónia, her niece, as first administrator. Then, her sons and descendants should succeed her.
She establishes another chapel, entailing a farmhouse (casal) in São Tiago dos Velhos and another in Murteira, parish of São Mamede, on the outskirts of Torres Vedras, in order to fulfill the charges celebrated in that monastery. Appoints Canon Simão de Gouveia, first administrator, who was responsible for appointing his successor.
She also leaves the olive grove of Forno da Cal, in S. João da Talha, to Joana Rebelo to help her in her wedding with the pious obligation of an annual mass for the souls of the institutor's deceased ancestors.

Will chart of Manuel de Figueiredo Machado and D. Maria Ferrão Castelo Branco, his wife. D. Maria satisfies the obligations due to the dowry that Bernardo Henriques Machado, her brother-in-law, gave for her marriage, in the amount of 600 000 réis, appoints her husband as her heir and executor and entails the prazo of Boa Aldeia to the entail they administered. Manuel de Figueiredo Machado. also entails his properties to that entail, fulfilling the provisions of his brother's will. He appoints Manuel, his natural son, as future administrator of the entail, under the condition that he marries Bernarda, natural daughter of Bernardo Henriques Machado, in order to fulfill the institution. He increases the number of charges and adds the line of his mother's relatives to possible successors in the entail.

Will chart of Ana de Pina, ordering her grave in the church of Santa Maria of Celorico da Beira. She appoints António Soares de Pina, her husband, and João Salvado, prior of São Pedro of Celorico da Beira, executors. She appoints Marcos de Aragão, her nephew, universal heir. The testator had built a hermitage, invoking Nossa Senhora, with charges, which she now transforms into an entail, entailing assets and appointing the heir administrator, after the death of António Soares de Pina.

Will chart of Mónica da Silva, nun in the convent of São Francisco of São Vicente da Beira, ordering her grave in that convent. She appoints Simoa da Ascensão, her sister, also a professed nun in that convent, her executor. She was the administrator of a chapel instituted by Beatriz de Andrade, her sister, in Castelo Branco, for which she appointed Fernando da Silva, her nephew, as administrator, after the death of Simoa da Ascensão.

Will chart of D. Maria Manuel de Vilhena, widow of António Coelho de Carvalho, founding a chapel or entail with the pious obligation of a perpetual daily mass in his chapel of Nossa Senhora das Candeias, in the church of S. Julião of Lisboa, and appointing Rui de Figueiredo, her cousin, as her will's executor, heir and administrator. This entail is founded with the public debt instrument or properties bought with 5 000 cruzados, which duque de Aveiro owes her. The testator also appoints D. Jerónima or Manuel de Melo, if D. Jerónima dies, as her successor in the houses located in S. Miguel de Alfama belonging to the chapel of her mother's grandmother.
Will approved in 1656-11-15 and opened in 1663-07-22.

Will chart of Beatriz Gomes Raposo, ordering her burial in the church of Santa Maria de Serpa. She names Gonçalo Toscano, her husband, her executor and Mécia Rodrigues, her niece, her universal heirs, of all movable and immovable property, with pious charges.
It is inserted in an exemplification, with an approval deed (dated 1515-10-20).

Will chart by Fernando Barreto, Belchior Barreto's son, ordering to be buried in the convent of São Domingos of Lisboa, in the grave where lied his parents. As administrator of the entail instituted by his father, he ordered the making of a tombo of its properties, and attached to that entail half of a third of his assets, in order to fulfill the clauses contained in the institution. He bequeaths to the friars of the referred convent a public debt instrument of 20 000 réis, with the pious obligation of celebrating a daily mass in its church.

Will chart by which Gaspar Barreto Cabral wanted to be buried in the monastery of São Francisco de Évora. He incorporated into this entail a "moio" of cereal from the "herdade da Bodoeira" and "herdade da Bala", in the parish of São Brás de Regedouro. He designated his grandson Gaspar Barreto to be its first administrator, who should be succeed by his eldest son. The institutor was the administrator of the chapel founded by Diogo Pires, designating his grandson Gaspar Barreto to be its administrator. The institutor was also the administrator of the chapel founded by Maria Afonso, with the obligation to order the celebration of masses in the Cathedral of Évora, designating his grandson to be its successor.

Will chart by which Jácome Gomes Galego revokes a donation he had made in a previous will to this daughter, Clara Gomes, passing it to his granddaughters, Filipa and Isabel Barbosa, and appointing Clara Gomes, their mother, as administrator of these properties during their minority. He declares that the obligations of masses established in his will and in his wife's will must be taken as one single obligation and be fulfilled as such, and not separated.

Will chart of D. Filipa da Silva. She appoints D. Pedro de Eça, her brother-in-law, as her executor. She establishes an entail with her assets, after the legacies have been fulfilled, and appoints D. Diogo, her nephew, as first administrator, to be suceeded by his eldest son. The charges were to be celebrated at the monastery of São Francisco of Xabregas, where she wanted to be buried.

Will chart by which D. Filipa de Sequeira, wife of André de Sousa Chichorro, expresses her wish to be buried in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade, where her father, João Mendes Botelho, is buried. She appoints her husband as her heir and executor, with the obligation of establishing weekly and annual masses for her soul in her burial place, to which he should entail a public debt instrument in the Alfândega of Lisboa. If his husband frees the chancel of the convent of S. Francisco de Alenquer, where he has a family tomb, her bones can be transferred to that place. She bequeaths all her properties, including houses in Lisboa, her quinta da Granja, casais in Odivelas and another public debt instrument, to her husband, as an entail. After his death, they shall pass to her nephew, Luís Mendes Barreto, who must marry D. Leonor de Sá, daughter of André de Sousa Chichorro. If this marriage doesn't take place, the entail shall be inherited by D. Maria, sister of Luís Mendes Barreto, who must marry Jerónimo de Sousa, eldest son of André de Sousa Chichorro. It shall then pass to their descendants.
D. Filipa de Sequeira also revokes her part in the will of her first husband, Francisco da Costa, except the clause by which she gives 10 000 cruzados to her nephew, who is in India, if he marries Francisco da Costa's niece. This money shall be entailed to Francisco da Costa's property, but only if the marriage takes place.
Followed by declaration, dated 1605-06-04, clarifying other donations by the institutor, approval deed and opening deed of the will, dated 1605-06-12.

Will chart by which Gaspar da Rua Magriço and his wife Justa de Gamboa wanted to be buried in the church of Nossa Senhora do Monte da Caparica, if they die in Murfacém, on the outskirts of Almada, or in the chapel of Conceição in the church of Santa Justa of Lisboa, if they died there. The institutors incorporated a public debt instrument of 20.000 réis and the "casal da Mata da Burra", on the outskirts of Sintra, for the fulfilment of the charges in the chapel of Conceição in the church of Santa Justa of Lisboa. This chapel should be administrated by their niece D. Isabel de Gamboa, after the death of the last of them. It should succeed in this entail the closest relatives of the first administrator. In addition, they also incorporated all their assets located in Caparica and a public debt instrument of 30.000 réis to the hermitage of their farm in Murfacém. This chapel should be administrated by their nephew António Pacheco, after the death of the last one. The successors should be the closest relatives of the first administrator.

Will chart by Gil Simões Valarinho and Leonor Correia, his wife, establishing a chapel and entailing their third parts to it. They name António Simões, their son, as administrator, or André Simões, if António died.

Will chart by which Francisco de Melo wanted to be buried in the Church of São Sebastião of Ponta Delgada. He founded two chapels in this church, one for his soul and the other for his parents' soul. He designated António Monteiro Maldonado to be his last will executor, his chapels' administrator and the guardian of his daughter Francisca. Followed by an approval deed dated 1557-01-24.

Will chart of Mestre Diogo Lopes Franco, Físico-mor do rei. He instituted a chapel, entailing his farmstead (quinta) of S. Bento and a few houses he had in Lisboa, as well as the rest of the third of his assets, with the pious obligation of one weekly mass celebrated in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. He appointed Bárbara Franco, his daughter, as the entail's first administrator, to whom the eldest son should succeed. He chose to be buried in the church of the aforementioned convent, next to his late wife, Inês Rodrigues.

Will chart by which Catarina de Andrade, widow of Pedro Caldeira, escrivão da Fazenda do Rei, expresses her wish to be buried in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Monte do Carmo of Lisboa, in her husband's grave. She establishes a chapel, entailing her houses in Lisboa, with an obligation of one annual divine office and four weekly masses in her burial place. She designates António Jorge, her nephew, as first administrator, and his successors afterwards.

Will chart by which Manuel de Sousa de Meneses wanted to be buried in the church of Santa Maria de Serpa. He designated Francisca Ximenes and his last will executor Afonso Perdigão to be the administrators of his grandmother Ana de Oliveira's chapel. He incorporated his assets into this chapel and he determined that, after their death, the administrator should be chosen annually in the Church of Santa Maria de Serpa.

Will chart of Jorge de Sousa de Alvim, ordering his grave in the hermitage of Santo António, which he had built at his Quinta de Pedrógão, on the outskirts of Torres Novas. He establishes an entail and chapel, entailing all his assets, located in the Quinta de Pedrógão and on the outskirts of Torres Novas and Porto de Mós. He appoints Manuel de Sousa de Alvim, his son, executor and first administrator, to be succeded by his eldest male son. In case of extinction of the lineage, the administration would pass to the monastery of São Martinho de Tibães.
He establishes another entail and chapel, entailing a farm, located in Seiça, on the outskirts of Ourém. He appoints Simão de Sousa de Alvim, his son, first administrator. The charges were to be celebrated in the church of Seiça. The same clauses had to be fulfilled for the institution of the entail of the Quinta de Pedrógão.
He establishes another entail and chapel, entailing grain income, in the amount of 100.000 réis, coming from Alfeizerão. He appoints Pedro de Melo de Sousa, his son, first administrator. The charges were to be celebrated in the church of Alfeizerão. The same clauses had to be fulfilled for the institution of the entail of the Quinta de Pedrógão.
He establishes another chapel, entailing a farm, located in Vila Verde, in the municipality of Vila Chã, on the outskirts of Braga. He appoints Henrique de Sousa de Alvim, his son, first administrator. The charges were to be celebrated in the church of São Paio of Vila Verde. The same clauses had to be fulfilled for the institution of the entail of the Quinta de Pedrógão.

Will chart of Lopo Vaz, ordering himself buried in the church of Santa Maria de Tavira. He appoints Diogo Gonçalves, his nephew, as his executor. He orders the sale of all his assets and with the income the purchase of properties and incomes, to fulfill the charges, the compliance of which was to be ensured by the executor and the vigário da vara of the city. Diogo Gonçalves was to succeed Henrique Vaz. If the second was dead, the vigário da vara would have the choice of the administrator, who could not be a nobleman.

Will chart of Jorge Gonçalves Formigo bequeathing some properties to his son, Sebastião Jorge, to order the celebration of fifty-one masses for his, his parents and his wives souls, lay down a set of succession rules in their administration. He appoints Sebastião Jorge, his son, as first administrator.

Will chart of D. Maior Gonçalves, ordering her sepulture in the convent of São Francisco of Tavira, in the chapel she institutes. She appoints Manuel Rodrigues, her son, as her heir and executor, to administer it, being able to choose the invocation he preferred. The administrator should also appoints whoever he wants to be the chapel's patron. D. Maior Gonçalves orders the purchase of incomes, in the amount of 30 000 réis per year, to fulfill the charges.
She determines that after the death of her son, the chapel should be administered by Fernando Mendes, and after his death, by his children or closest relatives.

Will chart of Maria da Costa, widow of Estêvão Pires de Paiva, bequeathing her available portion to Maria Raposo, her granddaughter, daughter of António da Costa Furtado, with the pious obligation of three perpetual prayed masses, in each year. Her graddaughter will be succeeded by her male son. If she has not offspring, the testator's available portion will be bequeathed to António da Costa Furtado, her son and Maria Raposo's father.
