Will chart made by Isabel de Almeida, in which she attaches several houses, and a vineyard, located in Portalegre and surroundings, to the chapel established by Ana de Almeida, her mother, with the same clauses and conditions of the institution. If there were no descendants to administer the chapel, the properties had to be detached to celebrate other pious charges.

He established an entail with the third part of his assets and with those he had inherited of Apolónia Dias, his deceased wife, appointing Manuel Botelho, his son, executor, universal heir and administrator. The charges were to be celebrated in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, which the testator had made.

He had a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Conceição, with a chaplain, where he leaves certain charges, such as in the Franciscan convents of Caria, Vilares and São João da Pesqueira and in the churches of São Pelágio of Vila da Rua and Espírito Santo of Carregal. He leaves three properties to fulfill the charges in the convents and churches and entails the others in a chapel, with head in Quinta do Ribeiro and in the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, located on that farm. He appoints Francisco Pereira de Almeida, his nephew, executor, heir and administrator.

Will chart of Jerónimo Vieira da Maia and Isabel, his wife, ordering their grave in the convent of Santo António Extramuros, in Évora. The couple bequest all their assets, after the legacies have been fulfilled, to whatever survives of them both.
After the death of Jerónimo Vieira da Maia, D. Isabel's assets were entailed to a chapel, for the fulfillment of pious charges in the church of São Mamede of Évora, to be administrated by Pedro Simões, her nephew, and then by his eldest son.
In addition, after the death of D. Isabel, the half of Jerónimo Vieira da Maia's assets, valued at 35.000 réis, were entailed to a chapel, for the fulfillment of pious charges in the church of São Mamede of Évora, to be administrated by Águeda, daughter of Sebastião Fernandes and Isabel Mendes, criada in his house, and then by her eldest son.

Will chart of Cosme de Oliveira, ordering his grave in the chapel of Nossa Senhora de Belém He institutes a chapel, entailing some houses, located in Lisboa, outside the gates of Santo Antão, for the fulfillment of masses, celebrated in the church of São Jorge. He appoints Maria das Virtudes, his sister, as first administrator. After her death, they were to pass to Maria, daughter of the institutor, and then to her eldest son or daughter.
He also orders the sale of all his assets, to fulfill the legacies, and the purchase of a farm with what was left over. He entailed this farm to the celebration of charges in the church of Nossa Senhora de Belém. He appointed his executor as first administrator and Estêvão, his son, after the death of first.

Will chart of Ana Galvão de Abreu, ordering her grave in the convent of São Francisco of Lisboa, in the tomb of Maria de Abreu, her sister. She institutes an entail, entailing a farm (quinta) in Bulhão, in Alvalade o Grande, and two houses on the street of Saco, for which she appoints D. Antónia, her niece, as first administrator. Then, her sons and descendants should succeed her.
Ana Galvão de Abreu institutes another chapel, entailing a farmhouse (casal) in São Tiago dos Velhos and another in Murteira, parish of São Mamede, on the outskirts of Torres Vedras, in order to fulfill the charges celebrated in that monastery. She appoints cónego Simão de Gouveia, first administrator, who was responsible for appointing his successor.
Sha establishes another entail, entailing a farm in São João da Talha, with charges, for which she appoints Beatriz Pais. After her death, her eldest son should succeed her.

Will chart made by Catarina Marques, in which she ordered, among other dispositions, the foundation of one chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year, by entailing a land (souto), in the location of Juntas, on the outskirts of Marvão, with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year, to be administrated during his lifetime by her niece Maria, son of Manuel Fernandes. After her death, the chapel should be administrated by her eldest son and, from there on, the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.
In addition, she entails the same propriety to another chapel, to be administrated during his lifetime by her nephew Pedro, son of Manuel Fernandes. After his death, the chapel should be administrated by his eldest son and, from there on, the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. This property is to be divided into equal parts, and both chapels are to be administered separately.

Will chart by which António de Torres Manso and his wife Beatriz Barata, administrators of the chapel established by Baltasar Manso, their uncle, in Oleiros, establish another chapel to annex to it, with the obligation of 60 annual masses in the convent of Nossa Senhora da Conceição of Castelo de Vide. They name their son, António de Torres Manso, as first administrator, and his descendants afterwards. They also name him administrator of the chapel founded by Afonso Álvares, in the mother church of Álvaro, which was administered by Beatriz Barata. They designate their daughter, Maria Temudo, as the administrator of the chapel established by Maria Barata, in Oleiros, which they both administered, and annex properties to it.

The first one was composed of the farmsteads of Santa Catarina and Pontafigo, in the island of São Tomé, and was to be administered by his brother, Mateus de Alva, who should be succeeded by his son, Francisco. The second one had an obligation of annual masses in the convent of Capuchos, in Castelo de Vide, and was to be administered by Roque Nunes Barradas, the institutor's brother-in-law, who should be succeeded by his wife, Violante Brandão, sister of the institutor, and by their eldest son. The third one would also have an obligation of masses in Castelo de Vide and would be administered by Violante Brandão, and afterwards by one of her sons or daughter, who would be chosen by appointment.

The institutor named Afonso Dias and Maria Branca, his wife, as first administrator during their lifetime and, after their death, they would be succeeded by Afonso Fernandes, their son, and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest heir, whether male or female.

Will chart made by António Ribeiro de Tavares in which he ordered the foundation of a chapel with a perpetual pious obligation of a mass celebrated every year in Portalegre. He appointed Leonor de Andrade to be the first administrator during her lifetime and, after her death, she shall be succeeded by Rui Pais de Andrade and from there on the succession shall continue, preferably, on the eldest heir, whether male or female. If the illegitimate children of the institutor (Lourenço and Margarida) were legitimated by the king, they would inherit half of the entail.

Will chart made in Santiago de Cabo Verde by Rui Baraça, Tesoureiro da Sé, in which he ordered the foundation of two entails. The first entail would be composed of the farm of São Domingos, with it's sugar, cotton and subsistance plantations, thirty cows and also seven enslaved persons, over which he imposed a perpetual pious obligation of one mass celebrated every week as long as the world lasted, naming Fernando de Fontes, licenciado, to administrate it during his lifetime, and, before his death, he would appoint one of his children to suceed him with the same conditions. The second entail would be composed of some cotton plantations, 77 cows and also ten enslaved persons, over which he imposed a perpetual pious obligation of one mass celebrated in every week as long as the world lasted, and to to administrate it he named his nephew Miguel, son of his niece Filipa Olália, with the condition that he would study and become a priest. After the death of Miguel, the administration would then be handled to his mother or to the eldest relative of her lineage, where it should remain. If anyone of the entailed cattle and slaves were sold, died or run away, the administrators of both chapels would be obliged to replace them immediatly, in order to keep their numbers as disposed on this will.

Will chart by which Catarina de Almeida, widow of Simão Vaz, entails her properties in Lisboa. She appoints doutor Afonso Figueira, desembargador da Casa do Cível, as her heir, with the obligation of three weekly masses in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, where she wishes to be buried. If he dies without successors, the entail shall be bequeathed to Tomás Rebelo, escrivão do Cível, and to his children. If none of them have succession, it shall be bequeathed to her closest relative, excluding her nephews, who she disowns.

Will chart by which Branca Nunes, Bartolomeu de Loureiro's widow, bequeaths the third part of her assets, including houses in Lisboa, to her only daughter, Isabel de Loureiro, Bernardim Martins' wife, boticário do Hospital, with the obligation of celebrating annual masses for her soul in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. Isabel should be succeeded by her eldest daughter, Maria Nobre. She declares that her remains should be buried inside that church, next to the altar of S. Catarina. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1597-09-15 and an opening deed issued on 1598-01-11.

Will chart of Tristão Vaz da Veiga, of the Conselho do Rei, son de Manuel Cabral da Veiga, and Geral das Causas da Guerra na ilha da Madeira. He establishes an entail with his properties in Lisboa and Graciosa, Açores, and appoints his eldest son, Jerónimo da Veiga, as his universal heir and administrator of the entail. He establishes an obligation of a daily mass and one annual mass in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, where his successors can build a tomb for themselves, with 20 000 reis of alms. If Jerónimo da Veiga doesn't have children, the entail shall go to his brother, Luís da Veiga, if he doesn't become a cleric, or to the lineage of Tristão Vaz da Veiga's brother, Lourenço da Veiga.

Will chart by which Doutor Simão Monteiro de Leiria expresses his wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, in the chapel of Afonso Fialho, of which he is the administrator. He establishes an entail with his properties, with an obligation of 50 annual masses for his soul in that convent. This entail shall be attached to the entail founded by Afonso Fialho. He appoints his nephew, also called Simão Monteiro de Leiria, as the heir of his entail, and mentions that there should be a judgment to decide who shall have the administration of Afonso Fialho's entail: his sister, D. Margarida, or his nephew, Simão. He also establishes that his sister shall not inherit his properties.

Will through which Doutor Gaspar Vaz Rebelo, Desembargador do Paço, establishes two entails, with the assets he owned in Lisboa and Évora, appointing his two sons, Francisco Rebelo and Manuel Vaz Rebelo, as first administrators of those institutions. If neither of them survived, or had descendants, both of the entails would be inherited by Gaspar de Figueira, the testator's nephew. He instituted pious obligations of celebrating annual masses in the chapel of Jesus, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, and in his chapel, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Évora. He chooses to be temporarily buried in the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. After his flesh disappeared, his bones should be transferred to the grave he had inside his chapel, in the convent of S. Domingos of Évora.

Will chart by which Mécia de Andrade Freire, widow of doutor António Gentil, expresses her wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco de Xabregas, Lisboa. She entails her properties in Algés and Outarela with an obligation of two weekly masses in that convent. She bequeaths them to her nephew, António de Leão, who is in India, and to his successors. If he doesn't have any descendants, the entail shall pass to her other nephew, Manuel Homem, or to his sister, Mécia Fialho, children of Luís Homem.

Will chart by which Jerónimo Rodrigues Cação, Cavaleiro Fidalgo da Casa do Rei, relinquishes his right to be administrator of the entail established by his father, Jerónimo Rodrigues, composed of a sugar mill ("fazenda de Poto") in Ilha de S. Tomé, since he is destined to become a friar in the monastery of Batalha. If his mother, Maria Cação de Mendonça, died before him, the entail should be administered, only during his lifetime, by the convent of S. Domingos of Coimbra. He determined that his body had to be buried in the grave of Álvaro de Ataíde, since his chapel was being built at that moment in Nossa Senhora do Rosário, Alvor. His wife, Guiomar Simões, would be responsible for choosing the patron saint of the chapel, where the testator's remains would be deposited and a weekly perpetual mass would be celebrated for his soul. The future administrators of that chapel would be obligated to maintain it and to preserve its ornaments.
The institutor established another chapel, entailing to it all the assets he had inherited from Aldonça de Arvelos, his cousin, namely two watermills in Lagos, houses on Rua de Pedro Borges, in that city, and unspecified rents (foros). The revenues of those properties would support the celebration of a perpetual mass every friday wherever his body would be buried. He designated his wife to administrate it, asking her to entail the houses in which they lived in Alvor to the chapel. She would be succeeded by her nephew, Francisco de Freitas, who would transmit it to his eldest son.

Sra. de Nazaré built on the same state, where a monument in his homenage should be built declaring that he participated on the battles of Arzila, Azamor, Afnul, Benegisna, in Persia and Almedina. For the second entail he entailed several properties in Terceira island, in Cabo da Praia, mount Brasil and a state in Lajes, also with a perpetual mass obligation with a weekly mass preached on the chapel of Jesus, that he was building in the main church of Angra. Both the entails had identical obligations, and António Pires should choose which one he would have, and João da Silva should have the other one. Both should be succeeded by their eldest sons, preferably male, and each administrator should annex 2/3 of his own reserved portion (terça) to the entail. The administrators should also use the surname "do Canto" or lose the administration. He also appoints Francisco da Silva, his illegitimate son, to succeed him on the administration of the chapel founded by Vasco Afonso, vicar of Machico, island of Madeira.

Will chart by which Cristóvão Bocolli, cidadão cremonês, established an entail with a farmstead in Lisboa ("quinta da Palma"), houses on that city and 18 african civets ("gatos de algália"), which were kept in a wooden house in the farm and generated an annual profit of 100 000 réis. He designated his illegitimate son, João Bocle/ João Boche, husband of Maria Luís, to administrate it, obligating him to support the celebration of a daily perpetual mass in the church of Nossa Senhora do Loreto. The institutor ordered the making of 4 tombos containing copies of the entail's institution and other deeds, 3 of which would be delivered to the Hospital de Todos-os-Santos, the referred church and the Juízo dos Resíduos. The testator declared that he had made a will with his late wife, Graça Teixeira, in which they had demanded the celebration of a perpetual daily mass for their souls in Nossa Senhora do Loreto, where he had erected a chapel. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1560-10-28 and an opening deed issued on 1561-03-13.

Will chart in which Guiomar Soares expresses her wish of being buried in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa. The testator orders the sale of her assets to purchase houses located in Lisboa, which had to be entailed to the pious charges she establishes. She appoints Gaspar Afonso, her husband, first administrator. He should be succeeded in the chapel’s administration by Helena Soares, who had been raised in the institutor's house. If Helena Soares died, Jerónimo de Barros, Guiomar's cousin, should succeed.
Guiomar Soares also leaves part of her houses in Calçada Íngreme to her servants, the sisters Antónia Ferreira and Brígida Ferreira, with the obligation of fulfilling a perpetual mass for her soul at the same convent.

It was up to the woman to choose the next administrator, and then followed by the eldest son.

Francisco of Alter do Chão, where her body should be buried. She named both her nieces Maria Soares and Catarina de Jesus to administrate the entail during their lifes, and after the death of the first one, the administration would be go to the other. After their deaths, the administration should be assumed by to the eldest female daughter of the last one of two firstly appointed administrators, and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest female daughter. If none of them had children, the administration would be transmitted to Domingas Gonçalves who would administrate it during her lifetime and appoint a successor before her death. All administrators were obliged to entail their own reserved portions to the entail. Only the Visitador do Bispo could take accounts on the administration.

Isabel Fernandes was supposed to live in the houses all her lifetime, paying Margarida 2.000 réis every year. After their death, the chapel should be administrated by the eldest son of the last administrator to die and, from there on, the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.
Catarina Marques also ordered two other chapels, by entailing a land (souto), in the location of Juntas, on the outskirts of Marvão, with a perpetual pious obligation of masses celebrated every year, to be administrated during their lifetime by her nephews Pedro and Maria, children of Manuel Fernandes. The assets would be divided into equal parts, being administered separately. After their death, the chapel should be administrated by the eldest son of the last administrator to die and, from there on, the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.
